Abstract

This PKM-M aims to implement the education of applying science and technology & the ability of ingredients of beneficial papaya. To know the society response in the education of applying science and technology & the ability of ingredients of beneficial papaya as anthelmintik to minimalize the wormy in the livestock chicken. To manage the continuative enterprise program in Kambingan village. The action of PKM-M is based on the following statements of the problem: 1) Implementing Papaya Ingredients by illuminating and adjoining. The illumination was attended by public figure, breeder, and public apparatus. In the illumination, the interactive discussion happened between the participants, and the informant and PKM-M team. Discussion about  chicken diseases. Ascaridia galli is a parasitic gilig worm which is mostly found in the chicken and causes a big loss of financial for breeder fowl. The usage of natural ingredient is much better than chemical ingredient. One of the efforts in controlling an environmentally safe parasite is taking the advantages of the trash of papaya plants.Adjoining was done by helping (training) the breeder society in the case of giving the liquid drop to Papaya Ingredients, 2) the society responses to the importance of the advantage of Carica papaya trash, there was an improvement of society understanding after joining this program, 3) the continuative effortwas done by adjoining while training and working together in the future.  The continuative effort would be realized in PKM-K or IbW (science and technology for society) in this year, in which the object is Kambingan village. Keywords: Carica papaya trash, anthelmintik, Ascaridia galli, breeder society

Abstract

Tea parasite Scurrulaatropurpurea (Bl.) Dans contains several secondary metabolites, one of which is Flavonoids from Quersetin that may act as antioxidants; the presence of antioxidants can neutralize and protect the liver from free radicals. Liver cell damage can be seen from the results of clinical biochemical test form levels of Serum Glutamic Pyrufic Transaminase (SGPT). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of methanolic extract Scurrulaatropurpurea (MESA) to the SGPT levels of  female white mice for 28 days. Data were analysed using ANOVA in SPSS version 17.0. The numbers of tested animals were 20 female white mice which was divided rat into four groups, each group contained 5 mice. Group 1 is a dick, group 2, 3 and 4 as a treatment.  A significant difference between the mean treatment groups compared with the control group. No significant value difference between the groups was p> 0.05. Therefore, EMSA that was given to female mice for 28 days with a dose of 250 mg / KgBW, 500 mg / KgBW and 1000 mg / KgBW in the treatment group all the doses were not significantly different compared with the controls, in this case the level of SGPT female white mice was normal.Benalu teh (Scurrula atropurpurea (Bl.) Dans mengandung beberapa senyawa metabolit sekunder  salah satunya yaitu Flavonoid dari Quersetin yang berperan sebagai antioksidan. Keberadaan antioksidan mampu menetralkan dan melindungi hati dari radikal bebas. Kerusakan sel hati dapat dilihat dari hasil pemeriksaan biokimia klinis berupa kadar Serum Glutamic Pyrufic Transaminase (SGPT). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian Ekstrak Metanolik Scurrula atropurpurea (EMSA) terhadap kadar SGPT pada tikus putih betina selama 28 hari. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental dan analisis data menggunakan uji ANOVA dengan SPSS versi 17.0. Jumlah hewan uji adalah 20 ekor tikus putih betina dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok, masing-masing kelompok terdapat 5 ekor tikus. Perbedaan signifikan antara rata-rata kelompok perlakuan dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan  yang signifikan antara semua kelompok dengan nilai  p>0.05. Maka dari itu EMSA yang diberikan kepada tikus betina selama 28 hari dengan dosis 250 mg/KgBB, 500 mg/KgBB dan 1000 mg/KgBB pada kelompok perlakuan semua dosis tidak berbeda nyata dibandingkan dengan kontrol, dalam hal ini kadar SGPT pada tikus putih betina bersifat normal.

Abstract

This study aimed to assess the ethnobotany of home gardens and lad-use units in Gili Iyang Island, Sumenep Regency.  It is expected for future strategic issues, such as global warming mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and food security. This study used an observational method with informal and semi-structured interviews with an indigenous community in Gili Iyang that has a homegarden or yard and uses the plants within for their daily life. Data were analysed by using the Used Values (UVs) and Index of Cultural Significance (ICS). The results showed that there were 63 types of plants located in two places (in the land unit and the homegarden). The community of Gili Iyang widely used the plant of Zea mays L. as the staple food (UVs=1.0), Borrasus flabellifer L. that produce sap (UVs = 0.9), and Lannea coromandelica (Houtt.) Merr.t) for land fence and animal food (UVs 0.9). In the area of the house yard, several plants are often used by the people of Gili Iyang, including the Mangifera indica L for its fruit (UVs=0.8), Piper betle L. for its medicinal use (UVs=0.7), and Manilkara zapota (L.) P. Royen for its fuitr (UVs=0.7). The three-highest ICs were Cocos Nucifera L, Borrasus flabellifer L., and Zea mays L for 162, 136, and 105, respectively, due to their multipurpose uses. Taniyan Lanjheng house and Pamengkang (homegarden) as local custom need to be conserved to support the sustainable cultural and plant conservation effort in Gili Iyang.

Abstract

Artificial Insemination (AI) is a mating process, by unnaturally bringing sperm and egg cells together in female livestock (poultry and ruminants) with the help of human hands. The success of the AI technique is influenced by three main factors namely; livestock, cement and humans. UPT Livestock Breeding and Animal Health of Madura is one of the institutions for preserving Madura cattle germplasm, which further optimizes the AI program. The aim is to find out the factors that influence the success of Artificial Insemination, the process of detecting lust (estrus) and Artificial Insemination techniques. The method used in this study was direct observation using the artificial insemination method, namely rectovaginal. AI is an attempt to insert semen into the reproductive tract of female livestock using artificial tools and with human assistance or in other words marriages that are not carried out naturally. Detection of lust (Estrus) is the observation of signs of heat in a cow to be inseminated, detection of heat is an important factor in the process of artificial insemination because it determines the time for proper and successful mating. The AI technique in cattle is the rectovaginal method, in which the hand is inserted into the rectum and then holds the part of the cervix that is most easily identified because it has a hard anatomy, then the insemination gun is inserted through the vulva, into the vagina up to the cervix.
