Abstract

The paper was conducted to determine whether there is a correlation between authoritative parenting and psychological well-being in Global Prima National Plus Medan high school students. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive correlation between authoritative parenting and psychological wellbeing. The research subject used in this study were 260 students from SMA Global PrimaNational Plus Medan and used a proportionate stratified random sampling technique. This research uses quantitative methodes; data was collected using an authoritative parenting scale of 30 items and a psychological well-being scale of 42. The assumption test and linearity rest. The data were examined using the Pearson Prodcut Moment correlation test through the SPSS version 21.0 for the Windows program. The results of data analysis found a positive correlation between authorirative parenting and psychological wll-being in Global Prima National Plus Medan high school students with a Person Product Moment correlation coefficient of 0.466 and sig. worth 0.000(p<0.05). The results showed that the authoritative parenting variable contributed to psychological well-being by 21.4%, and the remaining 78.6% was influenced by other factors not examined. The results of this study concluded that the research hypothesis stating a positive correlation between authoritative parenting and psychological well-being could be accepted.

Abstract

This study evaluates the Fuzzy Tsukamoto method as an effective rehabilitation solution for young inmates facing mental health challenges, including pre-existing conditions, confinement stress, and educational deficits. Mental health issues in correctional facilities remains a growing concern, affecting not only the well-being of inmates but also their chances of successful reintegration into society. The method employs Electroencephalogram/EEG to monitor tracked brain activity, providing real-time data that refined the treatment protocols and allowed for personalized adjustments. Conducted in a correctional facility in Medan, Indonesia, the study found significant reductions in anxiety and depression among participants, along with improved self-efficacy and emotional resilience. The results highlight the potential of the Fuzzy Tsukamoto method in not only improving inmate mental health but also in reducing recidivism rates and supporting social reintegration. These findings underscore the critical need to adopt more rehabilitative correctional strategies to address the complex mental health challenges within the incarcerated population.

Abstract

Work stress that is not managed properly has the potential to affect employees' mental health and has an impact on decreased work productivity to extreme termination of employment. This study aims to analyze the relationship between work stress and the mental health of CV employees. Masterpiece of Prestasindo. The approach used is a quantitative research with a simple regression analysis technique using SPSS version 27. The study population consisted of 110 employees, and through the Isaac & Michael Table the number of respondents was determined to be 84 respondents. Data collection was carried out using questionnaire instruments in the form of Work Stress Scale and Mental Health Scale which have met the criteria for validity and reliability. The results showed that there was a non-significant positive relationship between work stress and mental health with a correlation value of 0.204 and significance of 0.136, as well as an influence contribution of 2.7%. The findings provide an idea that work stress is not the main factor in changes in mental health conditions, because most employees have quite good adaptability and self-regulation in dealing with work pressure. This research emphasizes the importance of organizations continuing to pay attention to other factors that are more dominant in maintaining employees' mental health to support the sustainability and effectiveness of company performance

Abstract

Abstract Early adulthood is a transitional period in an individual’s life that is often accompanied by the phenomenon of the quarter-life crisis. During this phase, individuals frequently experience confusion in determining life direction, academic pressures, and uncertainty about the future. Such situations can affect the level of subjective well-being among students, which relates to life satisfaction as well as positive and negative emotional experiences.This study was conducted to examine the relationship between quarter-life crisis and subjective well-being among early adult students at the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Prima Indonesia. The study employed a quantitative correlational design. The sample consisted of 100 students for the instrument trial and 200 students for the main study, selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using Likert scales to measure levels of quarter-life crisis and subjective well-being.The research instruments demonstrated excellent reliability, with Cronbach’s Alpha scores of 0.950 for the quarter-life crisis scale and 0.927 for the subjective well-being scale. Data analysis techniques included descriptive statistics and the Pearson Product-Moment correlation test. The analysis revealed a significant negative relationship between the two variables, with a correlation coefficient of r = −0.693 and a significance level of p < 0.001. This finding indicates that higher levels of quarter-life crisis among students tend to be associated with lower levels of subjective well-being. Overall, the results suggest that the relationship between these two variables is strong.

Abstract

This study addresses the issue of low learning motivation among students, which is presumed to be associated with classroom climate. An unconducive classroom environment may hinder students’ engagement, participation, and enthusiasm in learning. This study aims to examine the relationship between classroom climate and students’ learning motivation at SMA Global Prima Medan. A quantitative correlational design was employed with a sample of 140 students. Data were analyzed using Pearson’s Product Moment correlation with the assistance of SPSS 25.0. The results indicate that classroom climate is categorized as high, with an empirical standard deviation lower than the hypothetical standard deviation (11.196 < 14.5), suggesting relatively homogeneous student perceptions. Furthermore, a significant positive relationship was found between classroom climate and learning motivation. This finding indicates that a more supportive classroom climate is associated with higher levels of student motivation. Most students were found to have moderate levels of learning motivation and classroom climate perception, although a small proportion fell into the low category. In conclusion, classroom climate plays an important role in shaping students’ learning motivation. This study highlights the need for teachers and schools to foster a conducive and supportive classroom environment to enhance student engagement and motivation.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah meningkatkan penggunaan media sosial, salah satunya TikTok, yang kini menjadi bagian dari kehidupan sehari-hari mahasiswa. Namun, penggunaan TikTok secara berlebihan diduga dapat memicu kecemasan emosional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara konsumsi konten TikTok dengan tingkat kecemasan emosional pada mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Prima Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode analisis korelasi pearson product moment sebagai teknik analisis data. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 100 mahasiswa yang aktif menggunakan TikTok dan dipilih dengan teknik sampel jenuh. Data dikumpulkan melalui Skala Likert berdasarkan indikator dari variabel konten TikTok dan kecemasan emosional. Temuan penelitian mengindikasikan adanya hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara konten TikTok dengan kecemasan emosional, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,705 dan kontribusi sebesar 49,7%. Artinya, semakin tinggi keterpaparan mahasiswa terhadap konten TikTok, semakin tinggi pula tingkat kecemasan emosional yang mereka alami. Temuan ini menjadi dasar penting untuk pengembangan program preventif terhadap masalah kesehatan mental pada mahasiswa.
