Abstract

Sibling rivalry is a phenomenon of jealousy of children to their siblings which is commonly found among the community, especially children who are still at an early age. The purpose of this study is to see how sibling rivalry behavior can occur, as well as to see the description of parenting patterns in early childhood who experience sibling rivalry in Tasikmalaya. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using a case study approach. This study was conducted on 3 parents who have early childhood who experience sibling rivalry behavior. The results showed that parenting given to early childhood who experienced sibling rivalry was permissive parenting, neglectful parenting, and authoritarian parenting. Meanwhile, the cause of sibling rivalry behavior arises because of differences in parental attitudes, birth order, gender, and age differences that are too short. From sibling rivalry behavior, substantive types of behavior appear, starting from quarrels between siblings, sibling's power attitude, and getting each other's parents' attention. Parenting advice given by parents to overcome sibling rivalry behavior in each child is that parents establish communication to carry out joint parenting and parents spend more time for children and be fair to all their children.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the description of the career maturity of Company X employees who are facing a quarterlife crisis. The theory used in this study is Super's career maturity (1953). This research is a quantitative study with descriptive research type and uses Snowball Sampling technique with a population of 41 employees. The measuring instrument used in this study is a questionnaire made by researchers based on the dimensions of Super's theory. The reliability of the measuring instrument made has a coefficient of 0.76. Based on data processing, the results show that 90.2% of employees of Company X South Jakarta fall into the category of career maturity while 9.8% of employees of Company X South Jakarta fall into the category of career immaturity. Employees of Company X South Jakarta who fall into the category of not career mature, should conduct training to improve their abilities and skills or attend various seminars to broaden their horizons related to the career world.

Abstract

Keluarga merupakan tempat pertama bagi anak dimana Ia akan mempelajari serta mengembangkan kecerdasan emosional yang dimiliki. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian yang dilakukan ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak dari masing-masing bentuk pola asuh, yaitu Authoritative, Authoritarian, Indulgent dan Uninvolved terhadap tingkat kecerdasan emosional yang dimiliki oleh remaja. Penelitian ini sendiri menggunakan pendekatan deduktif dengan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Subjek pada penelitian berjumlah 174 siswa SMKN 3 Kota Cimahi yang terdiri dari 44 remaja laki-laki dan 130 remaja perempuan, yang didapatkan melalui teknik sampling Accidental. Alat ukur pola asuh yang digunakan merupakan modifikasi dari alat ukur pola asuh yang disusun oleh Winda Erlina (2016), dan alat ukur kecerdasan emosional diadaptasi dari Assesing Emotional Scale (AES) yang dikembangkan oleh Schutte, et.al pada tahun 2009. Analisa data penelitian yang didapatkan menggunakan metode regresi linear sederhana, dengan JASP 0.17.2.1. Berdasarkan pengolahan data statistik didapatkan hasil bentuk pola asuh yang memiliki pengaruh terhadap kecerdasan emosional remaja adalah Uninvolved (16,4%), Authoritarian (6%), Authoritative ( 4,5%). Sebagian besar responden mempersepsikan pola asuh authoritative sebanyak 154 responden, disusul oleh pola asuh authoritarian sebanyak 14 responden, lalu pola asuh indulgent sebanyak 3 responden, dan terakhir pola asuh uninvolved sebanyak 3 respoden.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh meaningful work terhadap work engagement pada personil TNI AD dan PNS Militer Pusdikif Susjurbrata di Kota Cimahi. Populasi penelitian merupakan personil TNI AD dan PNS Militer yang berdinas di Pusdikif Susjurbrata sebanyak 50 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan survei. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala meaningful work yaitu Work as Meaningful Inventory (WAMI) yang dikembangkan oleh Steger, dkk., (2012) dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0,928  dan skala work engagement yaitu Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) versi 17 yang dikembangkan oleh Schaufeli & Bakker (2004) dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0,751. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh meaningful work terhadap work engagement (R=0,506, p-value < 0.001). Dengan demikian, meaningful work merupakan predictor munculnya work engagement. Terdapat 70% responden yang menunjukkan derajat meaningful work yang tinggi dan 50% responden menunjukkan derajat work engagement yang tinggi. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya organisasi menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang dapat menstimulasi makna positif dan pencapaian tujuan dalam bekerja pada pegawainya

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to conduct psychological screening of children’s growth and development and to enhance parents’ capacity in understanding their children’s psychological development. The program was organized by the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani, in collaboration with the Karsa Media Bakti Foundation (YKMB), and was participated in by 19 children and their parents residing in Cimahi and Bandung. The activity consisted of four stages: completion of screening forms and developmental history by parents, structured interviews and anamnesis, observation and brief individual counseling, and evaluation of participants’ knowledge and satisfaction. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and simple quantitative approaches. The results showed that the most common problems included emotional regulation difficulties (31.6%), learning focus issues (26.3%), and social behavior problems (15.8%). Parents’ knowledge increased by an average of 36%, and the overall satisfaction level reached 4.7 out of 5. This program demonstrates that community-based psychological screening involving active participation of children and parents is an effective preventive approach for early detection of developmental issues. It is recommended that similar programs be conducted regularly and expanded to schools and other communities to strengthen family roles in building resilient generations for national endurance.
