Abstract

The assessment tool for a career currently being developed requires special treatment from a psychologist/psychometrist. The measurements are conducted when students are confused about career options. However, for students who have decided, it is uncommon for them to seek professional help. Psychological tools that focus on capturing information about students’ maturity in relation to their ability to make career decisions can help them choose a major that is suitable for their career. This study concerns adapting the career decision-making self-efficacy (CDMSE) that can predict one’s confidence in his/her ability to make career choices. The adaptation of this instrument went through several stages such as translation, back translation, testing the reliability, and testing the validity evidence of content and internal structure using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). This study used a sample of 539 high school students in Bandung and Cimahi. The construct reliability (CR) of the instrument was α=0.929. The evidence for internal structure using CFA showed that the CDMSE scale has an acceptable goodness of fit index. The standardized loading factor item is in the range 0.710-0.998. It can be concluded that the Bahasa Indonesia version of the CDMSE scale has good psychometric properties and can be used for research or assessment to measure a person’s degree of confidence about his/her ability to make career choices.

Abstract

This study adapts and analyzes the psychometric properties of Prosocialness for Adults developed by Caprara in Indonesian with a sample of university students. The adaptation of this measuring instrument goes through several stages, starting from translation, back translation, testing the reliability coefficient, and collecting validity evidence in the form of content-based testing and internal structure testing using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). This study involved a sample of students in Bandung and Cimahi, as many as 273 students. The results showed that the Indonesian version of PSA Scale was declared reliable (alpha Cronbach = 0.841) and met the goodness of fit index criteria. Indonesian version of the PSA Scale measuring instrument has good psychometric properties, so it can be used for research or assessment purposes that measure degree prosocial in adolescent samples. This study suggests that the Indonesian version of the PSA Scale can be developed by adding a wider variety of samples, a larger sample size, and trying to relate to other variables to increase criterion validity

Abstract

Terdapat fenomena mengenai stres akademik pada mahasiswa karena adanya perubahan dalam proses perkuliahan selama dan paska pandemi. Perubahan dan hambatan yang dialami mahasiswa dimaknai sebagai stres akademik. Dari beberapa literatur ditemukan bahwa pemaknaan laki-laki dan perempuan akan stres akademik berbeda yang juga dapat mempengaruhi kesejahteraan subjektif mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif non-eksperimental dengan jenis asosiatif-kausalitas. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 221 mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi dengan teknik accidental sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner Student-Life Stress Inventory (α = 0.95 dan validitas = 0.421-0.880) dan Kesejahteraan Subjektif Mahasiswa (CSSWQ) (α = 0.92 dan validitas = 0.24-0.71) melalui google form. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh stres akademik terhadap kesejahteraan subjektif baik pada kelompok mahasiswa laki-laki maupun perempuan (R2 = 25,2% dan 2,64%). Peran atau pengaruh stres akademik terhadap kesejahteraan subjektif pada mahasiswa laki-laki lebih besar dibandingkan pada mahasiswa perempuan. Selain itu, mahasiswa perempuan lebih merasakan stres akademik dibandingkan pada mahasiswa laki-laki.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the description of the career maturity of Company X employees who are facing a quarterlife crisis. The theory used in this study is Super's career maturity (1953). This research is a quantitative study with descriptive research type and uses Snowball Sampling technique with a population of 41 employees. The measuring instrument used in this study is a questionnaire made by researchers based on the dimensions of Super's theory. The reliability of the measuring instrument made has a coefficient of 0.76. Based on data processing, the results show that 90.2% of employees of Company X South Jakarta fall into the category of career maturity while 9.8% of employees of Company X South Jakarta fall into the category of career immaturity. Employees of Company X South Jakarta who fall into the category of not career mature, should conduct training to improve their abilities and skills or attend various seminars to broaden their horizons related to the career world.

Abstract

Purpose of this study is to determine whether there are contributions from forms of social support for social workers, namely emotional support, appreciation, instrumental, and information on self-confidence in persons with disabilities at the Social Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities (PRSPD) and to find out which forms of support are most contribute to predicting confidence. This research is a quantitative research and used total sampling with 40 participants. The analysis technique used simple linear regression analysis. Instrument for measuring social support and self confidence construct by researcher using form of social support by House for Social Support and aspects of confidence by Lauster for self-confidence. The reliability of the social support instrument is 0.940 and the standardized loading factor (SLF) is 0.621-0.798, while the reliability of the self-confidence instrument is 0.947 and the standardized loading factor (SLF) is 0.617-0.932 . The results showed that simultaneously forms of social support contributed 84.9% to self-confidence. Emotional support contributed 38%, appreciation support contributed 41.1%, instrumental support contributed 51.5%, and information support contributed 38.6%. Based on the results, the researchers suggests that social workers should optimize social support, especially instrumental support to clients disabilities in order to encourage the confidence of clients.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan data empiris mengenai gambaran peta bakat mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Unjani, dengan menggunakan Teori 34 Peta Bakat dari Gallup. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Talents Mapping Assesment (TMA) yang terdiri atas 170 pernyataan. Nilai reliabilitas TMA adalah 0.97 dan bukti validitas berdasarkan internal struktur menggunakan teknik CFA first dan second order diperoleh standar loading factor antara 0.4-0.98. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah stratified random sampling dan diperoleh ukuran sampel 600 mahasiswa. Analisa data penelitian menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara umum terdapat 3 bakat dominan yang dimiliki mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Unjani, yaitu bakat relator, responsibility, dan includer. Bakat pertama yaitu bakat relator, yaitu seorang yang menikmati hubungan pertemanan yang erat. Bakat kedua adalah responsibility yaitu seorang yang secara moral akan selalu selaras antara kata dan perbuatannya. Kemudian, bakat yang ketiga adalah includer yaitu seorang yang mudah untuk membuka diri terhadap kehadiran orang lain.

Abstract

Adversity Quotient (AQ) merupakan tolok ukur standar yang digunakan untuk mendapatkan gambaran derajat kemampuan seseorang ketika menghadapi permasalahan dan mampu bertahan terhadap kesulitan hidup serta tantangan yang dialami. Kemampuan menghadapi hambatan tersebut sebagai suatu proses untuk mengembangkan diri, potensi, dan mencapai tujuan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengelompokkan profil AQ mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi UNJANI pada tipe quitter, camper, dan climber. Sampel yang dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi UNJANI sebanyak 330 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan skala Adversity Quotient (AQ) sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 227 (68,79%) orang memiliki AQ sedang atau bertipe camper, 39 (11,82%) orang memiliki AQ tinggi atau tipe climber, dan 64 (19,39%) orang memiliki AQ rendah atau tipe quitter. Secara umum mahasiswa fakultas Psikologi UNJANI adalah memiliki tipe camper. Berdasarkan distribusi frekuensi skor sampel penelitian pada tiap dimensi AQ, seluruh dimensi yaitu dimensi control, dimensi origin & ownership, dimensi reach dan dimensi endurance berada pada kategori sedang, hal ini mendukung secara keseluruhan bahwa gambaran umum mahasiswa fakultas Psikologi UNJANI bertipe camper.

Abstract

Memori merupakan kemampuan untuk mengambil kembali informasi atau representasi dari pengalaman-pengalaman sebelumnya. Individu dalam kehidupan sehari-hari lebih cenderung mengingat informasi yang mengandung emosi dibandingkan dengan informasi netral. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh pemberian kata-kata yang mengandung emosi terhadap working memory mahasiswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimental dengan desain between participant posttest-only. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Padjadjaran angkatan 2022 dengan sampel yang diambil sebanyak 108 mahasiswa dengan teknik pengambilan sampel random sampling. Partisipan dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen 1, kelompok eksperimen 2 dan kelompok kontrol dengan masing-masing 36 mahasiswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan alat ukur kata-kata mengandung emosi dan netral yang mengacu pada CEFI (concreteness, emotion, and subjective frequency norms for Indonesian words). Analisis data penelitian menggunakan analisis uji anova untuk melihat perbedaan antar kelompok yang diberi kata bermakna emosi positif, emosi negatif, dan kata netral . Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara tiga kelompok tersebut (F(2,105) = [0.657], p = 0.521). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian kata yang mengandung emosi tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap working memory

Abstract

Self-efficacy is one of the essential things that students need to have, especially in academic performance. Self-efficacy has several sources, one of which is verbal persuasion in the form of verbal encouragement. Verbal encouragement can increase individual beliefs about their ability to complete tasks. This experimental study aims to determine the effect of verbal encouragement on self-efficacy.  The design used is a between-participant post-test only and conducted online. The sample of this study was 80 students of the Faculty of Psychology, Padjadjaran University, Bandung. The sample was randomly divided into two groups: The experimental group with verbal encouragement and the control group without intervention. Measurement of self-efficacy using two measuring instruments, General Self-efficacy Scale, which measures self-efficacy in general, and New General Self-efficacy Scale to measure self-efficacy more specifically, namely according to the research context. Data analysis using SPSS 26 and the results obtained based on the independent t-test showed that there was a significant effect of providing verbal encouragement on the level of self-efficacy of participants at p-value=0.0015 and p-value=0.000. This shows that giving verbal encouragement can increase the self-efficacy of participants who take tests, especially the Basic Indonesian Sign Language Quiz (BISINDO).

Abstract

Understanding and accurately measuring cooperative and competitive behaviour is essential for effectively predicting and applying these traits across various fields. This study aimed to adapt the Cooperative and Competitive Personality Scale (CCPS) for use in Indonesia and evaluated its psychometric properties. The Indonesian CCPS was adapted through translation and back-translation, then tested on 720 participants alongside the Big Five Inventory-50, Prosocial Scale for Adults and Prosocial Tendencies Measure. The results showed α=0.934; ω=0.933 for the cooperative, and α=0.884; ω=0.831 for the competitive, and strong test-retest correlations (r=0.978 for cooperative, r=0.984 for competitive). The findings demonstrate that the Indonesian CCPS is a valid and reliable instrument with strong psychometric properties. The findings help researchers and practitioners identify cooperative and competitive behaviour across contexts. In addition, these findings support the use of CCPS to design interventions to enhance teamwork and healthy competition.
