Abstract

Biomasa of agricultural residues are potensial as ruminant feeds. However due it is low palatability, digestibility and nutritive value limited their use. In order to improve their use, treatment need to be applied. Biological treatment by using microba seems to be an alternative because of their capability with no pollution problems. The first experiment aims to select the microorganism which have a potensial to degrade the crude fiber, based the production of reduction sugar. The second experiment aims to improve the protein and amino acid on rice straw, cassava, waste, and rice husk, by inoculated the starter of Candida utilis and or Sacharomyces cerevise. The second experiment has been conducted on Animal Nutrition and Feed Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Husbandry UNSOED for eight month Fermentation trial has been done in semi solid media, by the method of Kjic (1964), in Batch System, Variables measure were: (1) reduction sugar, (2) cellulose, (3) protein, (4) amino acids, (5) cellulase activity, (6) essensial mineral and (7) energy. Based on the all variables measured that were conclused that the quality of  rice straw can be improved by mixed culture of  T, viride – S. cerevise, the rice husk by A. niger – C. utilis, T. viride – C. utilis and A. niger – S cerevise while for cassava waste by  A. niger – S. cerevise and A. niger – C. utilis  (Animal Production 1(1) : 10-16 (1999). Key Words: Waste Product, Energy, Microorganism

Abstract

Cholesterol, HDL (High Density Lipoprotein) and LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) in blood serum of broiler could can be controlled by food manipulation using different fatty acids and fiber content in ration. This research was planned to study the influence of fat i.e. cis-trans fatty acids and raw fiber content on feed to cholesterol, HDL and LDL biosynthesizing broiler blood serum. The research model was experimental and the design used was Completely Randomized Design in factorial pattern 2 x 3. The first factor was type of fat (L) : L1= cis fatty acid and L2 = trans fatty acid. The second factor was fiber content in feed (S) i.e. S1 = 5% ; S2 = 7%, and S3 = 9%. Each treatment was repeated four times, it means 24 observation. Variables observed were : cholesterol, HDL, LDL concentration in blood serum of broiler. The result indicated that the use of 5 % palm kernel oil and 5 % tallow fat in feed containing 5 %, 7 % and 9 % fiber respectively have unsignificant result (P>0.01) to cholesterol and LDL blood serum of broiler, but have significant to HDL concentration (P<0.01). The average cholesterol of blood serum was between 76.46 mg/dl (L2S3) to 99.88 mg/dl (control), HDL concentration was 21.19 mg/dl (L2S1) to 38.85 mg/dl (control), and LDL concentration was 46.83 mg/dl (L2S2) to 61.14 mg/dl (control). It can be concluded that feeding with far in the form of cis (palm kernel oil) or trans (tallow) when combined with proporsional fiber addition can be used as feed because it does not increase the cholesterol and LDL in broiler blood. The reduction of cholesterol as much as 23.53 % in control feed was found in treatment with 5 % tallow addition in combination with 9 % raw fiber content, HDL concentration was higher in treatment with palm kernel oil compared to tallow addition. This area plays an important role in maintaining fish production. This study aimed  to analyze the relationship between the existence of fishery-protected areas and the original local government revenue of Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The method used is a desk study. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study show that revenue from L3S in sub-districts that have fishery-protected areas is higher than in those that do not. Jejawi District has the most fishery-protected areas, contributing the most to OKI Regency's original local government revenue. To increase L3S revenue, it is recommended to add the number of fishery-protected areas.

Abstract

Perkerasan semi lentur adalah perkerasan yang dirancang dengan gradasi terbuka yang memiliki rongga udara (air void) yang kemudian diisi dengan mortar semen, dengan modulus mendekati perkerasan kaku namun memiliki kelenturan. Perkerasan semi lentur memiliki stabilitas yang tinggi untuk memikul beban lalulintas, oleh karena itu perkerasan semi lentur merupakan jenis perkerasan jalan yang sangat baik untuk dikembangkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui stabilitas marshall, pengaruh perbandingan air dan semen dengan variasi45:100, 55:100, 65:100, 75:100 dan durabilitas perkerasan semi lentur dengan pengujian durabilitas. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mempersiapkan benda uji aspal porus dengan gradasi aspal porus yaitu dengan mengunakan gradasi Sebelas Maret (Variasi I) dengan rongga udara sebesar 30% dan Malaysia (Variasi II) dengan rongga udara sebesar 20% sehingga mempunyai rongga yang besar yang dapat diisi dengan mortar. Selanjutnya dilakukan pencampuran terhadap mortar yang kemudian dituangkan pada benda uji kemudian digetarkan dengan mesin penggetar.selanjutnya dilakukan perawatan selama 7 hari dengan suhu kamar,Kemudian masing-masing benda uji di rendam pada waterbath selama 30 menit dan 24 jam dengan suhu 60°C. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian Marshall untuk mengetahui stabilitas. Dari hasil penelitian ini telah didapatkan nilai stabilitas terbaik yaitu pada perbandingan pasta semen 75:100 dengan nilai stabiltas pada variasi I sebesar 2524.54 kg dan variasi II sebesar 2210.39 kg menunjukan bahwa variasi I lebih tinggi dari pada variasi II Sedangkan IKS pada perkerasan semi lentur 87,63%. Hasil dari pengujian durabilitas pada perkerasan semi lentur cukup baik karena masih memiliki stabilitas yang tinggi.
