Abstract

Environmental problems are a necessity that is difficult to separate from human life as a result of human behavior that pollutes the environment. As living beings, humans always try to make ends meet by utilizing natural resources provided by the surrounding environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of environmental sensitivity of high school students in Depok City and the need for teaching materials currently used in schools in biology lessons. Research Methods with a survey approach to 90 high school students in Depok City. The results of this study are high school students in Depok's environmental sensitivity is still low and biology learning currently still uses conventional teaching materials and is still relevant to the applicable curriculum. However, what is currently being noted is that teachers are faced with the development of information technology which makes teachers have to adapt and need teaching materials that are adaptive to current technological developments so that learning outcomes can be effective and efficient

Abstract

Kerusakan lingkungan dan dampaknya merupakan persoalan yang masih terus berlanjut di Indonesia. Isu lingkungan nampaknya masih menjadi agenda yang sepele terhadap agenda politik lainnya. Hal ini terbukti dari gagalnya narasi isu lingkungan yang selalu dibawa oleh civil society terhadap setiap aktor politik atau partai politik, khususnya menjelang pemilu. Fenomena ini mengindikasikan bahwa perlunya mendorong transformasi narasi politik hijau menjadi platform partai politik sebagaimana yang terjadi di negara lain. Tulisan ini mencoba menganalisis absennya keterwakilan narasi politik hijau dalam parlemen menggunakan pendekatan teori oligarki dan partai politik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat tiga faktor penyebab isu lingkungan hidup terus menemui jalan buntu ketika berhadapan dengan agenda politik, yaitu; Pertama, rendahnya perhatian partisipasi dan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap isu keberlanjutan lingkungan. Kedua, dominasi oligarki di partai politik dan parlemen dalam penguasaan SDA. Ketiga, tidak adanya representasi partai politik hijau di dalam parlemen. Oleh sebab itu, dibutuhkan keberanian dari partai politik dan tokoh politik sebagai calon pemimpin masa depan untuk menjadikan isu lingkungan sebagai agenda utama politiknya

Abstract

This research aims to increase teachers' performance which impacts learning quality through the implementation of academic supervision with the coaching technique. The research method used is the School Action Research through the descriptive quantitative approach. The data-gathering technique was done via interviews, observation, and checklists from learning equipment documents. The result of the research shows that academic supervision on cycle 1 (85,7) is in the good category, and cycle 2 (90,9) is in the very good category. This shows there is an improvement of score on the type of administrative supervision and class supervision compared to pre-cycle (79,4) with the good category. This result was able to be reached due to a change in academic supervision, which was the inclusion of pre-observation, observation, and post-observation as well as a dialogue process with the coaching technique, which increased the quality of teachers in the learning process. The strengthening of coaching and the addition of follow-ups on cycle II caused the academic supervision score of teachers to increase more. The academic supervision stage and coaching technique allows teachers to dig for potentials further and causes them to be more prepared when an observation by the headmaster is done. Academic supervision with the coaching technique must always be familiarized for the improvement of teacher’s quality in school. The need for continuous monitoring and consistent implementation of academic supervision becomes a unique challenge to increase the teachers' performance, which impacts learning quality in class.
