Abstract

In adolescents, nutrition is an important factor in the growth and development process, especially during the growth spurt period that occurs in early adolescence and is characterized by physical, cognitive, and reproductive organ growth and maturation of reproductive organs. Inadequate nutrition during adolescence will cause various problems, one of which is anemia. Anemia has negative impacts, including impaired growth and development, decreased learning achievement, and impaired immunity, thus increasing the occurrence of infections and reproductive disorders. This research is quasi-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The research was conducted at Muhammadiyah I Lamongan Vocational School with a total of 44 female students. The sampling technique used in this research was total sampling. Research data analysis was carried out using the paired T-test statistical test. The results of the study showed that carrying out Directly Observed Therapy (DOT) while administering Fe tablets for 12 weeks was able to significantly increase Fe levels in adolescents, with a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05).

The sample is 268 maternity mothers, divided into 134 mothers giving birth with PRM and 134 normal maternity mothers at Dr. Soegiri Lamongan on 2018. Sampling is done by simple random sampling. Data collection uses patient medical record and with multivariate multiple logistic regression analysis. The results showed that presentation abnormalities with a p value of 0.045 <0.05 and CPD with a p value of 0.002 <0.05. Based on the Odds Ratio (OR) values as follows: Maternal age OR 1,141, OR parity 0.933, OR fetal presentation 2,779, OR Twins 1,394, OR CPD 6. and OR Large infants 0.783.Meaning that there was a significant influence between fetal presentation and CPD on PRM.

Abstract

Self-efficacy of breastfeeding (BSE) is a mother's confidence in her ability to succeed in providing exclusive breastfeeding. To achieve successful care, it takes a strong place to be able to provide exclusive breastfeeding. One effort that can improve the Self-Efficiency of Breastfeeding (BSE) is verbal persuasion that is the support or advice given by others which is enhanced and becomes a source of strength for mothers issued by education by health workers. The study aims to determine the effect of health education with the Snow Balling method on Breastfeeding Self Efficacy in Primigravida mothers. The research design uses the Posstest Only Control Design approach. Samples were taken from 32 Primigravida mothers who were divided into 2 groups randomly. Retrieval of data using the BSES questionnaire and analyzed using the Mann Whitney U Test (α <0,05).The results showed that more than Primigravida mothers who were not given health education had a low BSE (average BSES score 12.5), and almost all Primigravida mothers who were given health education about lactation by the snow balling method had high BSE (average average BSES score 20.5). Statistical test results showed that there was an effect of health education with the Snow Balling method on Breastfeeding Self Efficacy in Primigravida mothers (p = 0.004).t is recommended that health workers in providing health education not only use the lecture method but with other more interactive methods such as snow balling.
