Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine how strategic formulation affected Lyamujungu SACCO's organizational performance. A correctional sectional research design was used for the investigation. The study was able to analyze the link between the study variables since it used both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.  Simple random selection and purposive sampling methods were used to choose a sample of 105 respondents. Using thematic analysis and SPSS Version 21.0, the respondents' quantitative and qualitative data were examined. Based on the study's objectives, quantitative findings in the form of descriptive statistics, correlations, and regressions were provided in tables. The study discovered that the development of a plan had a substantial positive association with SACCO organizational performance (r =.785, P .01). With these results, the study makes a contribution by channeling the currently fervent conversation surrounding concerns of strategic formulation and organizational performance in Lyamujungu SACCO by offering empirical evidence that has been mostly absent. The study advises management to collaborate with Board members and all other stakeholders to implement the resolutions of both the Board meeting and the Annual General Meeting in order for Lyamujungu SACCO to develop effective strategies.

Abstract

This study looked at how strategic planning affected business sustainability of small and medium-sized businesses in Uganda. A Kigezi sub-regional case. Utilizing a correctional sectional study design, the investigation was conducted. The study's use of both quantitative and qualitative approaches allowed it to evaluate the relationship between the factors it was examining. A sample of 105 respondents was selected using simple random selection and purposive sampling techniques. The quantitative and qualitative data from the respondents were analyzed using SPSS Version 23.0 and theme analysis, respectively. Tables providing quantitative results in the form of descriptive statistics, correlations, and regressions were presented based on the study's goals. The study found a significant association between strategic planning and the long-term viability of SMEs' businesses (r =.789, P.01). The research's findings and analyses indicate a strong relationship between strategic planning and SMEs' ability to remain competitive in the Kigezi sub-region. According to the study, the majority of respondents said that long-term success for SMEs was strongly impacted by strategic planning. According to the study, SMEs should focus on strategic planning for business longevity if they want to successfully continue their businesses.

Abstract

Examining how participatory monitoring and evaluation affects the sustainability of potato projects in Rubanda District was the goal of this study. The unavailability of potato projects in Rubanda District served as the basis for this investigation. The survey design used in this study was cross-sectional. A total of 139 respondents' data was gathered, and both quantitative and qualitative analysis were performed. Frequency tables were utilized to display the data because descriptive analysis involved describing a single variable and its characteristics. A Pearson correlation matrix was used at the bivariate level to determine the connections between the dependent and predictor variables. To fit the data, a linear regression model was employed. Monitoring and evaluation in potato projects have a positive impact on project sustainability, according to research findings from the regression model (R=756). The primary finding of this study is that the sustainability of potato projects in the Rubanda district is impacted by monitoring and evaluation. Therefore, the study suggests that in order to ensure the sustainability of potato projects in the Rubanda district, project managers should give careful thought to project monitoring and evaluation.
