Abstract

WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT BASED ON FEMINIST RAPID RESPONSE RESEARCH (FRRR) IN ADVOCACY TO MINIMIZE ACTS OF SEXUAL VIOLENCEThis study aims to analyze the implementation of women's empowerment in the form of advocacy efforts to minimize instances of sexual violence. Sexual violence poses a severe challenge that threatens women's well-being and hinders the achievement of gender equality. Various cases of sexual violence highlight the necessity of community involvement as an essential element in addressing prevention and advocacy for handling crimes and sexual violence against women. The Feminist Rapid Response Research (FRRR) approach is one form of methodology that combines feminist principles with rapid responses to gender issues, enabling an efficient approach to addressing sexual violence. In this research, a qualitative approach and descriptive method are employed to gain profound insights into how women's empowerment through advocacy efforts using the FRRR approach is implemented. Data collection involves conducting in-depth interviews with groups such as the Family Welfare Empowerment and Youth Association to gather information about their perceptions of advocacy in minimizing sexual violence. The research findings indicate that, due to the crisis of sexual violence, there is a need to provide protection for women by enacting appropriate regulations to prevent and reduce sexual violence while also combatting it. Additionally, there is a need for mentorship-based programs capable of achieving new outcomes, such as advocating for resources and supporting facilities that enable collective understanding in documenting collectively when formulating strategies for new feminist organizational approaches as efforts to minimize cases of sexual violence in their environment.Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi pemberdayaan perempuan berbentuk upaya advokasi dalam meminimalisir tindak kekerasan seksual. Abstract

This research aims to develop social capital through a political education model that involves urban female cadre communities in increasing political involvement based on Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI). The research method employs a qualitative approach. This research involved 2 informants responsible for implementing political education regulations and 4 urban female cadre informants. Data collection methods include in-depth interviews and focus group discussions, which are subsequently analyzed through coding. The findings reveal that GEDSI-based women's political education serves as a benchmark for increasing the social capital of women’s mobilization partners, enabling them to acquire the abilities, skills, and political acumen necessary to boost confidence and empower women in formulating policies addressing the needs, challenges, and solutions for their communities. This research contributes by emphasizing that GEDSI-based political education for women encourages the development of political competence among female mobilization cadre partners advocating for gender justice, accessibility for people with disabilities, and the welfare of marginalized groups.

The research approach used is qualitative with in-depth interview data collection techniques, focus group discussions with research informants involving female politicians involved in the 2024 election contestation. In addition, literature study documents are also a data collection tool that supports research findings. Data analysis was carried out using coding techniques consisting of three stages, open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The research findings show that the existence of GEDSI political education makes aspects of gender equality, disability inclusion, and social diversity as capital that equips female politicians with the skills to build political strategies, networking skills and overcome structural and cultural barriers in the political system. For female politicians, the implementation of GEDSI political education is used as social capital that distinguishes them from male politicians in advocating policies with a broad perspective in understanding social complexity, thus enabling them to design more responsive and equitable policies. By leveraging the social capital gained from GEDSI education, female politicians can not only strengthen their position on the political stage, but also contribute to creating a more just and representative political governance.
