Abstract

In this paper, a passively Q-switched Erbium doped fiber laser (EDFL) by residing Graphene nanoplatelets (GnPs) embedded in polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) based saturable absorber (SA) is demonstrated. To aid the dispersion of GNPs, a surfactant is used and then it is mixed with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as host polymer to develop GnPs-PVA film based passive SA. The GnPs-PVA based film then integrated in laser cavity in ring cavity configuration for pulse laser generation. The experimental works show that the proposed passive SA operates at input pump power range from 77 mW to 128 mW with a tunable repetition rate from 78.4 kHz to 114.8 kHz and a shortest pulse width of 3.69 µs. The laser produces maximum instantaneous output peak power and pulse energy of 7.3 mW and 30.46 nJ, respectively and accompanied by signal to noise ratio (SNR) of 64 dB.

Abstract

The selection of Islamic names represents a deeply rooted cultural tradition intertwined with spiritual significance, historical resonance, and familial heritage within the Muslim community. This research endeavors to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) utilizing the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) methodology to navigate the multifaceted process of choosing Islamic names. The study integrates quantitative analysis with cultural sensitivity to create a structured framework for evaluating names based on criteria encompassing meanings, cultural relevance, pronunciation, and familial connections. Expert opinions and user perspectives are incorporated to establish criteria weights, providing a systematic approach to prioritize attributes aligned with cultural traditions and personal preferences. The implementation of the DSS aims to empower individuals and families to make informed, culturally resonant choices while fostering transparency, reducing subjective biases, and enhancing understanding of the profound significance inherent in Islamic names. Furthermore, the research acknowledges the adaptive nature of the DSS, capable of accommodating evolving cultural norms and diverse perspectives within the Muslim community. Ultimately, this study seeks to bridge the gap between tradition and modern decision-making methodologies, fostering a deeper appreciation for the rich heritage encapsulated within the selection of Islamic names.

Abstract

This design was performed in the development of the Sliding Book learning media tool by utilizing an Arduino UNO R3-based microcontroller control system. The addition of sensors and controllers in the form of Photodiode sensors and infrared remotes is undertaken with the intention of creating a wireless control system. The data is retrieved in the form of voltage data, current data, and the length of time used in one sliding book viewing. The outcome of this study is a sliding book learning media control design with an Arduino-based wireless control system and the addition of an infrared remote sensor and a photodiode sensor. The test results indicate that the command function of the infrared remote works well to provide wireless control of the motor rotation direction of the sliding book tool on the forward, reverse, and stop displays, and when determining the sliding page position, the photodiode sensor function corresponds to the design position of the page boundary reading. Sliding book control average power consumption was shown to be 1.67 Watts for the forward button for a voltage of 5V, 1.68 Watts for 12V and 1.47 Watts for the reverse button for a voltage of 5V. The power requirement for reverse rotation with a 5V source is 1.47 watts on the reverse button, while a 12V source requires 1.69 watts.

Abstract

PT CTI is a company that produces acrylic derivative souvenirs. A problem occurred in January 2024, there was a shortage of raw materials for 3 color lamps and 3 mm acrylic. This research aims to find out the comparison of the appropriate methods applied in this company, namely between 2 inventory control methods, the EOQ method and the JIT method. The results obtained from this research show that by using the EOQ method for 3 color lamps within a period of 2 months, a quantity of 117 units was obtained, the order frequency was 5 times, and the total inventory cost was IDR 967,774.9. And for 3mm acrylic, within a period of 2 months, the quantity is 1 sheet, the order frequency is 4 times, and the total inventory cost is IDR 788,833. Meanwhile, using the JIT method for 3-color lamps in a period of 2 months, the number was 351 units, the order frequency was 2 times, and the total inventory cost was IDR 887,503.3. And for 3mm acrylic, within a period of 2 months, 2 months, the quantity is 1 sheet, the order frequency is 4 times, the total inventory cost is IDR 239,208.25.
