Abstract

Many cases of death of chicks in farmers are caused by drastic changes in temperature which result in stress and death of chickens. In this study the authors made a chick coop design equipped with an LM35 sensor which functions to control the temperature of the chicks. The research object is Bangkok chicken aged 7-10 days which has a temperature requirement of 300oC. The test results show that the temperature stabilizer incubator for both the sensor test separately and the integration of the incubator control system as a whole works according to the program design, this is based on the test results that the lights and fans work according to the LM35 sensor reading input with 100% accuracy where as long as 3 days of testing the average temperature of the first, second and third days is below 300oC so that the output is in the form of lights on and the fan is off. On Day 3 all the chickens were healthy and growing well.

Abstract

This research investigates short-circuit problems in induction motor stators by constructing a motor with a changing winding and leaking flux data. The data is used to evaluate X, Y, and Z axes and map motor waves under normal and abnormal conditions. This study is expected to compare the effectiveness of the observation method from three different axes at the same motor condition to be further helpful in repairing induction motor damage caused by the circuit. From the results of the study, it shows that the harmonic value of the stator current will be more effective than the Y axis with a harmonic amplitude value of -38.8 dB, higher than the harmonic value of the current on the X axis with a difference of 33.89 dB and a difference of 0.32 dB from the Z axis. Suppose the disturbance is measured from the stray harmonic value. In that case, the flux will be more effective than the X axis with a harmonic amplitude value - 25.27 dB, higher than the harmonic value of the flux on the Y axis with a difference of 6.425 and a difference of 4.85 dB from the Z axis.

Abstract

Cuaca yang tidak menentu membawa dampak yang luar biasa pada peternak ikan khususnya ikan gurami. Perubahan cuaca yang tidak menentu ini mengakibatkan kualitas produksi ikan gurami rendah. Hal ini karena ikan gurami memiliki karakteristik jika stress terhadap perubahan suhu lingkungan maka ikan gurami akan beradaptasi dengan meningkatkan metabolisme tubuh yang menguras banyak energi sehingga dampak dari itu maka pertumbuhan produksi ikan rendah dan gampang terkena penyakit. Dampak dari perubahan cuaca yang tidak menentu mengakibatkan banyak peternak ikan gurami gulung tikar hal ini karena biaya perawatan lebih mahal dibandingkan dengan laba hasil panen ikan gurami, walaupun begitu masih banyak pemilik kolam yang memilih untuk bertahan beternak ikan gurami. Dengan resiliensi rendah para peternak ikan gurami menjalankan usaha peternakan dengan hasil tidak maksimal. Melalui kegiatan PKM ini, tim pengusul menjalankan beberapa solusi, yaitu: (1) Pemberian alat pengotrol suhu berbasis IoT yang efektif, praktis, dan efisien dalam mengatur suhu kolam ikan secara otomatis dan terukur; dan (2) Memberikan pelatihan perancangan dan pengaplikasian alat pengontrol suhu ikan gurami berbasis IoT

Abstract

Bawang merah merupakan bahan pokok yang sangat dibutuhkan dalam industri makanan dan rumah tangga. Namun, proses pengolahan bawang merah, terutama tahap pemotongan, sering kali menjadi kendala utama dalam meningkatkan produktivitas dan efisiensi usaha. Pada umumnya, pelaku UMKM pengolahan bawang merah masih menggunakan metode manual dalam proses pemotongan. Metode ini tidak hanya memakan waktu, tetapi juga meningkatkan risiko cedera kerja, khususnya pada tangan. Hasil dari beberapa riset data penelitian menunjukkan 18% kasus cedera kerja yang telah terjadi akibat proses pemotongan bawang merah secara manual. proses pemotongan manual membuat sistem produksi pengolahan bawang merah ini menjadi lambat dan ketergantungan dengan memberikan teknologi tepat guna dalam PKM ini, Melalui kegiatan PKM ini, tim pengusul menjalankan beberapa solusi, yaitu: (1) Pembuatan alat pemotong bawang merah otomatis yang efektif, praktis, dan efisien dalam mengatur ukuran irisan bawang merah; dan (2) Memberikan pelatihan dan pengaplikasian alat pemotong bawang merah otomatis , diharapkan solusi yang diberikan mampu membantu UMKM pengolahan bawang merah goreng untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas usaha, sehingga produktivitas dan profitabilitas usaha dapat meningkat.

Abstract

Water quality and temperature are important parameters that need to be considered in fish farming. Inappropriate water quality and temperature parameters can inhibit fish growth, and can even cause fish death so that farmers experience economic losses for the pond. The focus of the problem in this research is that inappropriate water quality and temperature parameters can inhibit the growth of catfish or cause death, thereby economically harming the cultivation business. The process of monitoring water quality in catfish ponds which is carried out manually is considered less efficient because it does not provide real-time temperature control. This research aims to design and implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based water quality monitoring system in catfish cultivation ponds, with a focus on real-time temperature regulation. This research is experimental research with the subject of catfish cultivation ponds. Data was collected through IoT-based system testing, and the results were analyzed using descriptive methods to evaluate the system's effectiveness in maintaining pool temperature in the range of 28°C–32°C. The research results show that the IoT-based catfish farm monitoring system with the ESP32 microcontroller and DS18B20 sensor functions well in monitoring water temperature in real-time. This system is capable of sending data wirelessly to a web or application-based monitoring platform, allowing users to monitor farm conditions anytime and anywhere. The implications of research on IoT-based catfish farm monitoring using an ESP32 microcontroller and DS18B20 sensors show the potential for transformation in aquaculture management , especially catfish farming.

Abstract

Arch flash is a disorder that often occurs in the electrical system of an industry or factory. In this research focusing on the analysis of the protection system by considering arc flash, it will be discussed in detail at the existing factory in East Java, namely PLTU Paiton unit 3 which is developing a unit with a capacity of 1x815 MW. The electrical system at PLTU Paiton unit 3 discusses only high and medium voltage systems. In order to support the continuity of the plant, to connect the Java-Bali electricity system, it is necessary to have a good protection coordination system to avoid black out due to one of the impacts caused by the arc of fire. After coordination of protection in the Paiton PLTU unit 3 system, arc analysis will be simulated with IEEE 1584-2002 standard calculations to find the  magnitude of energy incidents and determine the safety limits of workers and also personal protective equipment according to NFPA 70E standards. The results of the study after resetting the protection coordination of PLTU Paiton unit 3 using differential rele on the SWGR-3A bus incident value of arc energy and Flash Protection Boundary (FPB) value decreased which originally reached a level outside level 4 (>40cal / cm2) to level 3 (8.1-25cal / cm2), on the SWGR-3B bus the incidence energy value was at level 3 (8.1-25cal / / cm2) dropped to level 2 (4.1-8cal / cm2), for coal hand sys bus SWGR A the energy incident value from level 3 (8.1-25cal//cm2) drops to level 0 (0 -1.2cal/cm2), while for the coal hand sys SWGR B bus the energy incident value when existing conditions reach level 3 (8.1-25cal//cm2) drops to level 0 (0-1.2cal/cm2). After obtaining the energy level of the bus, then personal protective equipment can be determined.

Abstract

Abstract—Paralel series circuit thematic material is one of the materials that is difficult for elementary school (SD) students to understand because it requires direct understanding and application of paralel series material. At SD Negeri Pojok Kota Kediri the paralel series material is taught in class VI, the lack of learning media for this material causes students to have difficulty understanding the material. The aim of this Community Service (PkM) activity is to design and implement a paralel series trainer for elementary school students so that it is hoped that students will find it easy to understand and apply the series. This service activity produced 4 trainers, namely a series circuit trainer, a paralel circuit trainer, a combination switch circuit trainer, and a paralel series resistance interactive trainer. The results of applying the trainer show that 90% of students are able to apply circuits to series and paralel material using the series paralel circuit trainer.
