Abstract

Abstract: In this paper, a Multiple Sequence Alignment (MSA) is implemented for automatic classification of power quality disturbances. The MSA technique is a way of arranging the three or  more sequences of PQ disturbance. This technique can be use to identify regions of similarity between the sequences. The similarity is achieved at the smallest error of alignment. Aligned sequences of PQ disturbance are typically represented as a matrix. Twelve types of PQ disturbances based on IEEE are considered for the classification. The simulation results show that the Multiple Sequence Alignment (MSA) can effectively detect and classify different PQ disturbances.   Keywords: Multiple Sequence Alignment, Detection and classification of power quality disturbances.

Abstract

For farmers onion, red onion quality is required to be maintained and prioritized, as the quality affect the selling price in the market. There are three types of quality of onion, which is of high quality red onion, red onion, medium quality and low quality onion. The third quality of onion was always found in every harvest, only a percentage of each crop are changing in every quality. Onion have lower quality will have a selling price is also very low, this has resulted in farmers losing money if yields lower quality onions have a high percentage. The best way to overcome the loss factor is to cultivate the red onion into a low-quality food products of high quality, so for that tool "PEBMO" is a solution to overcome the problems of onion farmers. Tools "PEBMO" designed to be able to make high quality products fried onions. This tool is designed to have 3 working system, ie peeler onion, red onion chopper, and oil drainer. With the tool "PEBMO" farmers can cultivate shallots low quality products easily and quickly, because farmers do not need to be difficult to peel and chop the onion using the manual method. In addition the tool is equipped with a tool that prevents the oil drainer fried onion products are completely free of oil and durable. Besides these tools also make fried onion products more hygienic and healthier because they have low levels of oil content. So with the "PEBMO" can improve the quality of low red onion into food products with high quality and price.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of using portable electric motor control trainer media on increasing creative thinking skills and critical thinking skills in electrical engineering students. This research is an experimental study using Pretest-Posttest group design. The subject of the study is electrical engineering students at Nusantara University, PGRI Kediri consisting of 27 students. The level of creativity is measured through aspects of fluency, flexibility, authenticity, and elaboration, while aspects of critical thinking ability are by giving simple explanations, building basic skills, giving further explanation, applying strategies and techniques, and concluding. The study determines the increase in creative and critical thinking skills using N-Gain analysis. The result shows that: 1) the students' creative thinking skills are increased by learning using a portable type electric motor control trainer media that was categorized high on aspects of fluency and elaboration, and categorized based on aspects of flexibility and authenticity; 2) the students' critical thinking skills increase after participating in learning by using portable type electric motor control trainer media which is high in the aspects of elementary classification, inference, strategy and tactics, and categorized based on the aspects of basic support and advanced classification.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini, yaitu: (1) mengetahui rancang bangun dan sistem kerja media pembelajaran trainer pengendali motor 3 phasa berbasis portabel; (2) mengetahui kualitas media trainer pengendali motor 3 phasa berbasis portabel; (3) mengetahui keefektifan media pembelajaran trainer pengendali motor 3 phasa berbasis portabel terhadap hasil belajar ranah psikomotor mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian One Group Pretest-Postest desain. Pengujian dilakukan melalui 2 jenis pengujian, yaitu pengujian teknik, pengujian fungsi dan unjuk kerja. Validasi media pembelajaran dilakukan oleh 3 validator yang merupakan dosen teknik elektro Universitas Nusantara PGRI Kediri. Hasil belajar ranah psikomotor didapatkan melalui tes kinerja yang terdiri dari 10 butir tes kinerja yang dianalisis menggunakan N-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) rancang bangun dan sistem kerja media pembelajaran trainer pengendali motor 3 phasa berbasis portabel menunjukkan hasil yang baik; (2) kualitas media pembelajaran trainer pengendali motor listrik 3 phasa berbasis portabel menunjukkan kualitas media yang sangat baik; dan (3)  media pembelajaran trainer pengendali motor listrik 3 phasa berbasis portabel efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar ranah psikomotor, dimana hasil belajar ranah psikomotor meningkat dengan kategori tinggi setelah mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan media pembelajaran trainer pengendali motor listrik 3 phasa berbasis portabel

Abstract

Alat PILOT adalah alat pencuci gelas otomatis yang merupakan pengembangan pengaplikasian hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan oleh tim Teknik Elektronika Universitas Nusantara PGRI Kediri. Hasil dari penelitian alat PILOT menunjukkan adanya kemudahan yang cukup signifikan bagi kecepatan dan keefektivan proses pencucian gelas beserta waktu yang diperlukan. Mengacu pada hasil tersebut, maka pada program pengabdian kepada masyarakat kali ini, kami melaksanakan pelatihan perancangan dan pengaplikasian alat PILOT kepada masyarakat. Adapun sasaran dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat mengenai alat PILOT ini adalah para pengusaha makanan dan minuman yang memang membutuhkan kecepatan dan keefektivan dalam pencucian gelas mengingat pada jam tertentu biasanya para pelanggan datang dalam waktu yang bersamaan untuk makan dan minum di tempat tersebut. Mitra pertama yaitu pengusaha makanan bakso, dan mitra kedua yaitu pengusaha kedai es krim. Adapun teknis kegiatan pengabdian yaitu memberikan materi perancangan alat PILOT, menjelaskan komponen dan cara kerja alat PILOT, mendampingi mitra menggunakan alat PILOT, dan mengajak masyarakat sekitar mitra untuk ikut mengoperasikan alat PILOT. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah bertambahnya wawasan mitra mengenai alat PILOT, adanya peningkatan keahlian mitra, dan kemudahan dalam pekerjaan.

Abstract

Technological developments have a role in the competition for metal processing in the home industry, namely the development of metal heating devices. However, the home industry needs to consider environmentally friendly metal heaters. One of the environmentally friendly metal heaters is an induction heater. Induction heater has a metal heating technique by utilizing electromagnetic induction which is more efficient than using a conventional metal heating furnace. Induction heaters have advantages in terms of easier use, efficient in terms of energy, time and temperature regulation. Induction heating is a metal heating technique by utilizing electromagnetic induction from high frequency AC waves, which is more efficient than using conventional metal heating furnaces. This problem is the basis for holding training on the design and application of the INTENSOR tool. This community service activity has had quite a good impact in: 1) increasing the knowledge and skills of metal processing business actors in designing INTENSOR tools; 2) increase the knowledge of metal processing business actors in making and applying INTENSOR tools. Community service activities are carried out for 6 months and are intended for metal processing business actors.

Abstract

Sistem pemantauan dan menampilkan notifikasi ini berbasis mikrokontroler ESP8266 dengan memanfaatkan IoT sebagai back-end-nya. Sensor magnetic switch akan mengaktifkan buzzer ketika pintu terbuka lebih dari 1 menit serta mengirimkan notifikasi dan ESP32Cam akan mengambil gambar saat pintu terbuka. Penelitian ini menggunakan model prosedural yang merupakan implementasi model deskriptif yang menyajikan langkah-langkah dari bentuk prosedur yang dibuat untuk menghasilkan suatu produk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaksimalkan sistem keamanan pintu rumah. Sistem kerja alat ini sama dengan kamera cctv yang dimana harganya relatif lebih mahal dan yang membedakan dengan cctv pada umumnya ada pada pemberitahu notifikasi dan gambar yang dikirim secara langsung ketika terhubung dalam wifi. Hasil uji coba alat menunjukkan hasil yang baik dan sesuai program yang diinginkan dimana ketika koneksi wifi sudah terhubung makan alat akan mulai bekerja, jika pintu dalam keadaan tertutup maka buzzer akan mati dan tidak ada pesan sedangkan jika pintu terbuka minimal 1 cm maka buzzer akan berbunyi disertai dengan pesan dan gambar yang terkirim melalui telegram kepada pengguna.

Abstract

Many cases of death of chicks in farmers are caused by drastic changes in temperature which result in stress and death of chickens. In this study the authors made a chick coop design equipped with an LM35 sensor which functions to control the temperature of the chicks. The research object is Bangkok chicken aged 7-10 days which has a temperature requirement of 300oC. The test results show that the temperature stabilizer incubator for both the sensor test separately and the integration of the incubator control system as a whole works according to the program design, this is based on the test results that the lights and fans work according to the LM35 sensor reading input with 100% accuracy where as long as 3 days of testing the average temperature of the first, second and third days is below 300oC so that the output is in the form of lights on and the fan is off. On Day 3 all the chickens were healthy and growing well.
