Abstract

One learning approach considered capable of increasing learning motivation in higher education is the Computer Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL) paradigm. To improve learning efficiency, CSCL still requires innovation. The purpose of this study is to assess the implementation and efficacy of the CSCL learning model in higher education. A descriptive approach is the research methodology used, and secondary data are collected from the literature. The use of the CSCL learning model in higher education institutions will be discussed in this study, along with its definition, collaborative learning models, advantages, and impact on learning outcomes. The research findings indicate that because the Computer Supported Collaborative Learning model encourages a more dynamic learning environment in the classroom, this model is considered more beneficial for students than traditional methods. Students can also collaborate more with their peers, which will increase the effectiveness of the learning process.

Abstract

This article examines the implementation of character education in mathematics in class 4B of SD Islam Plus Masyitoh Kroya. From the studies conducted, it can be seen that there are at least three values in character education that have been implemented in the teaching and learning process of mathematics in class 4B of SD Islam Plus Masyitoh Kroya, including (1) religious values through reading prayers before and after lessons take place; (2) the value of honesty in the process of working on questions and assignments and; (3) the value of discipline through punishment and reward methods. In instilling character in students who teach mathematics subjects, they experience several obstacles, starting from controlling students outside of school, which is very difficult even though the role of parents is not optimal. Nonetheless, good communication between tutors and student guardians continues to be pursued so that this character education can be implemented optimally

Abstract

This research aims to spread the implementation of learning innovations in Basic Natural Science courses at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI Basic Science) using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method at Nahdlatul Ulama Al Ghazali University (UNUGHA) Cilacap. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. The aim of this research is to assess the effectiveness of the CTL method in increasing students’ understanding of Basic Natural Sciences and the extent to which this learning innovation is implemented in the MI educational environment. Through observations, interviews, and documentation analysis, this research describes how CTL is implemented, student responses, and its impact on understanding MI Basic Science concepts. The research results show that the implementation of CTL at UNUGHA Cilacap succeeded in increasing student involvement and the relevance of the material to everyday contexts. Students show increased understanding of MI Basic Science concepts, and this method provides significant support for achieving learning objectives. In conclusion, CTL is effectively applied in educational contexts, providing a stimulative and interactive learning environment. The practical implications of this research are recommendations for continuing to apply the CTL method in the development of the MI Basic Science curriculum
