Abstract

Even though MSME business performance has not reached its optimal potential due to various obstacles such as lack of capital support and obstacles in business management, attention to the MSME sector remains important and growing. The three main reasons for supporting the increase in MSMEs are: first, MSMEs act as a survival strategy in times of economic downturn; second, the tendency of MSMEs to absorb labor and intensively utilize local natural resources; third, the role of MSMEs in reducing poverty levels and encouraging income distribution in society.

Abstract

This study examines the application of the percentage of completion method in revenue recognition in construction service companies, which is a sector with high complexity in revenue accounting. The percentage of completion method is used to record construction project revenue based on the extent to which the project has been completed, as an alternative to the complete completion method which may not accurately reflect the actual condition of the project. In this study, we analyze the effectiveness and challenges in applying this method with a focus on the accuracy of financial reporting and its impact on the company's income statement. The research method uses a case study approach by analyzing data from several construction companies that apply the percentage of completion method. The results show that this method can improve the accuracy of revenue recognition and provide a more realistic picture of project performance. However, challenges such as inaccurate cost estimates and changes in project scope remain issues that must be addressed. This research provides insights for construction companies and stakeholders in understanding the benefits and constraints of the percentage-of-completion method for more transparent and accurate revenue recognition.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the use of the spinning top method in improving students' ability to understand physics concepts. The spinning top method, which involves active and interactive learning through physical demonstrations, is used as an alternative approach in teaching physics. This research involved students as research subjects and was carried out by comparing learning outcomes between the group that received training using the gasing method and the control group that used the conventional method. Data was collected through physics concept understanding tests before and after the intervention, as well as through classroom observations. Data analysis was carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of the spinning top method in increasing students' understanding of physics concepts. It is hoped that the research results can provide valuable insight for educational practitioners in developing more interactive and effective learning strategies in the context of physics learning.
