Abstract

ABSTRACT The relationship between religious preference and financial inclusion in a number of countries around the world still raises questions. Whether religious preference can increase Islamic financial inclusion is the question that this paper seeks to answer. This article attempts to examine four articles on religious preference and Islamic financial inclusion. This research is a library research, using data in the form of books, articles, and the like. Data analysis used is the method of content analysis (content analysis). The content analysis method is used to determine the extent to which religious preferences increase Islamic financial inclusion. The results of the study show that on the one hand religiosity can affect financial inclusion in various states of the United States of America (US) and in various countries globally. However, higher levels of religiosity are negatively correlated with use of financial services across all levels of society. However, on the other hand, there is a significant relationship between one's level of religiosity and one's reasons for saving at an Islamic financial institution. In addition, Islamic financial inclusion is not only driven by religious factors, but also supported by technological sophistication, literacy, political commitment, regulations, and so on. In Indonesia, Islamic financial inclusion, which is still low, can be increased through optimizing the role of Islamic boarding schools with the kiai or ulema as the central figure. Keyword: Religious Preference, Inclusion, Islamic Finance ABSTRAK Hubungan preferensi agama dengan inklusi keuangan di sejumlah negara di dunia masih menimbulkan tanda tanya. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the compliance of Al-Azhar Memorial Garden's business practices in light of the MUI Fatwa Number 09 of 2014 concerning the Purchase and Sale of Graveyards, as well as its implications for socio-economic distributive justice. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative with a juridical-normative approach and an Islamic socio-economic approach. Data were collected through the documentation study of fatwa texts, waqf regulations, and publication data regarding the management of the research object. The results indicate that in terms of physical worship, Al-Azhar Memorial Garden has strived to comply with sharia provisions and the MUI Fatwa by maintaining the simplicity of the grave structure (grass lawns without grand monuments). However, from the perspective of muamalah and distributive justice, this high-tariff commercialization scheme potentially violates the principle of Hifzh al-Mal due to its proximity to israf (extravagance) and creates spatial exclusivity amidst the urban land emergency. This study recommends the optimization of productive waqf instruments as a cross-subsidy solution to achieve more inclusive and socially just burial access. Abstract

The rapid development of financial technology has intensified the use of digital financial services among Generation Z. However, this trend is not fully accompanied by adequate financial management capabilities, resulting in a gap between technological access and financial literacy. This community service activity aims to enhance digital financial literacy among twelfth-grade students at SMK Assa’adah Bungah Gresik in order to foster rational, adaptive, and long-term financial behavior. The study employs an educational and participatory approach through the delivery of instructional materials, interactive discussions, and experience-sharing activities involving university students as facilitators of contextual learning. The findings indicate that although students demonstrate a high level of familiarity with digital financial services, their understanding remains largely limited to technical aspects and has not fully encompassed conceptual dimensions such as financial planning and the control of consumptive behavior. Post-activity evaluation reveals an improvement in students’ financial understanding and awareness. These results confirm that the educational and participatory approach is effective in bridging the gap between the use of financial technology and financial management capabilities. Overall, this activity contributes to strengthening the financial readiness of vocational high school students as part of Generation Z in facing the challenges of the digital economy and highlights the importance of developing sustainable, contextual, and experience-based digital financial literacy programs.

Abstract

The profit-sharing cooperation practice in pond farming in Tajung Widoro Village, Bungah District, Gresik Regency, has been carried out for generations and is based on verbal agreements without written contracts. This study aims to describe the mechanism of profit-sharing cooperation among fish pond farmers and to analyze its conformity with the muzara'ah contract. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical research type, using in-depth interviews with pond owners, pond managers, a community leader, and a religious leader, supported by direct field observation. The findings indicate that the profit-sharing cooperation in Tajung Widoro Village is conducted verbally with profit-sharing ratios of 75:25 and 90:10. All production capital is borne by the pond owners, and there is a practice known as Welasan, a voluntary contribution given to managers when crop failure occurs. Overall, the practice fulfills the pillars and conditions of the muzara'ah contract according to the perspective of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh muamalah), while Welasan is best understood as a form of shadaqah reflecting social concern and mutual assistance (ta'awun) within the pond farming community
