Abstract

The Health Law is one of the legal foundations governing the competence of the nursing profession. Nurses need to increase their understanding and awareness of the law to be able to make the right decisions in real-life situations. Increased legal understanding must also be accompanied by changes in nurse behavior to increase efficiency to support the quality of service to clients. This study aims to analyze the relationship between nurses' knowledge about the Health Law to the performance of nurses at Intan Husada Garut Hospital. The study was conducted using a cross-sectional research method with random proportional sampling. The research instrument used was a questionnaire of nurses' knowledge regarding the Nurse Health and Performance Law. The number of participants in this study was 100 people. Most respondents are knowledgeable about health law (80.0%) and highly productive (70.0%). The results of bivariate statistics obtained that the relationship between knowledge of Health Law and Nurse Performance r (Rho) = 0.491 with a significance value (p-value) of 0.000<0.05 which states that there is a moderate and positive patterned relationship, meaning that the more nurse knowledge about Health Law, the higher the Nurse Performance. The questionnaire successfully identified a link between knowledge of Health Law and nurse performance, which is valuable to policymakers and researchers. Time constraints because respondents fill out questionnaires while working. More research and in-depth interviews are needed to explore other factors that affect nurse performance.

Abstract

Background: One of the most important issues in the world is patient safety, especially when patients are in hospitals. The role of nurses as the most dominant health workers in maintaining patient safety in hospitals is very important because they directly meet patients every day. Therefore, it is important to determine the extent of the nurse's role in preventing incidents that threaten patient safety. Aim: This study was to find out the findings of previous research on how nurses maintain patient safety in hospitals. Design: Systematic Literature Review. Method: Is a literature review, using electronic databases from Scopus, Google Scholar, Pubmed, and Grey literature (National Library of Indonesia) with keywords: patient safety, compliance, and implementation of patient safety by nurses. The study met the following criteria: implementation of patient safety carried out by nurses; research design is qualitative or quantitative; quantitative or qualitative methods; and empirical papers published in English or Indonesian between 2018-2023. The collected articles consist of thirteen narratively arranged papers. Results: It found two papers on health policy, two papers on handover, one paper on risk reduction for falls, one paper on the use of surgical safety checklists, three papers on reducing the risk of infection, and four papers on implementing patient safety. This literature review found that nurses have made various innovations to ensure patient safety in hospitals. Conclusion: Patient safety is a major factor in patient satisfaction during their stay in the hospital, and this innovation can be an example for other hospitals to improve the quality of their services.

Abstract

Success in the learning system is determined by several factors including teachers, students, learning models, media, and learning facilities. One of the learning models that is considered appropriate and can create new learning conditions is the tutorial model and the cooperative group investigation (GI) model. In general, this study aims to determine the influence of the two models above on student learning outcomes on the concept of ecosystem. Respondents in this study were students of grades X 5 and 6, which were determined randomly. The type of research used is with a quantitative approach, the method used is an experimental approach. The instrument used as a data collection tool in the form of learning outcomes tests as many as 25 questions out of 30 questions after being tested for validity through validity, reliability, difficulty index, and differentiating power. The test was conducted twice with pre-test and post-test in experimental class 1 and experimental class 2. Based on the results of the study showed that; 1) there is an influence of the tutorial learning model on the ecosystem concept of student learning outcomes, 2) there is an influence of the group investigation (GI) cooperative learning model on the ecosystem concept of student learning outcomes, 3) there are differences in learning activities through the tutorial model and cooperative group investigation (GI). Overall, the tutorial learning model is better and more effective for overcoming student learning activity problems on the ecosystem concept than the group investigation (GI) cooperative learning model

Background: Leadership style can have a significant influence on improving the quality of nursing in various nursing service contexts. Improving the quality of nursing is important to improve the standard of nursing services so that it can provide more effective, efficient, safe, and quality care to clients. There have been many studies that examine the influence of leadership style on improving the quality of nursing. Aim: Based on existing research, it is necessary to conduct a meta-analysis study to obtain a summary effect size between leadership style and nursing quality improvement. Design: Meta-analysis. Method: The protocol in this study uses review and dissemination and the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Guidelines as guidelines in assessing the quality of correlation meta-analysis research. Article sources are collected through Scopus, Science Direct, PubMed, and Google Scholar, according to predetermined criteria. Data analysis using the help of the JASP 0.18 application. Results: A total of 12 research artifacts obtained a positive and significant influence on leadership style and improving nursing quality, summary effect size (rRE = 0.662) is the maximum size in the high category. Conclusion: This research, of course, has proven consistency and strengthened the theory or findings of previous researchers that with meta-analysis studies can provide convincing and effective information about the influence of these two variables. Quality or relationship between leadership styles to improve nursing quality on an ongoing basis through commitment, teamwork, and strong leadership.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between nurse characteristics and factors associated with nurses’ compliance in documenting nursing care in EMRs at RSUD Pameungpeuk Garut. This research employed an analytic survey with a cross-sectional approach and involved 94 respondents. Primary data were collected using questionnaires on nurses’ characteristics, knowledge, attitude, motivation, and head nurse supervision. Data analysis was conducted using the Chi-Square test. The results showed a significant relationship between head nurse supervision (p = 0.027) and nurses' compliance in documenting nursing care in EMRs. The study concludes that there is a relationship between head nurse supervision and nurses’ compliance in nursing care documentation within EMRs. Nurses who receive regular supervision tend to have higher compliance in documentation compared to those who are not supervised by the head nurse.
