Abstract

Indonesia is a country where the majority of Muslims are very natural if halal food products become an issue that is quite interesting to study. Most people believe in food products from the seller's words and the logo on the packaging of the food product. The problem that then arises is the amount of food, both raw materials and addictive materials, which makes it difficult to determine the halal origin of the ingredients. Along with the development of food technology food genetic engineering requires consumers to be more critical in choosing halal food products. This research aims to determine the relationship between halal knowledge and perception of the attitude toward buying halal food products with a sample population of the consumer community in Jambi City as many as 105 respondents. Design in research is quantitative descriptive with cross sectional approach method and accidental sampling sampling technique. The instrument used is a questionnaire and data analysis using two stages, namely univariate and bivariate. The results of statistical tests show that the p-value value of 0.252 α (0.05) means that there is no significant relationship between knowledge about halal food and buying attitudes. The results of statistical tests show that the p-value value of 0.041 α (0.05) means that there is a significant relationship between halal perception and buying attitude. Respondent's conclusion has a good knowledge of the concept of halal, a positive perception of halal food products, and a positive attitude about buying halal food products.

Abstract

Adolescents experience rapid growth and need good nutrition to support their growth and development. Adolescent girls who maintain their nutritional levels will maintain their reproductive health so that in the future they will become adult women who give birth to the next generation and gain adequate weight.  The aim of this activity is to increase the knowledge of educational participants about preventing CED in adolescent girls. CED is a condition where young women experience malnutrition (calories and protein) which lasts for a long time or is chronic, characterized by a LiLA proportion <23.5 cm, generally occurs in women of childbearing age which will have an impact on giving birth to LBW babies which will ultimately hinder the growth of children under five (stunting). This activity was carried out at Smart Fast Global Education Jambi, Jambi City for D1 students majoring in Hospitality, Aviation Commerce, AVSEC (Aviation Security) and Flight Attendants. The series of activities will start from September 2022 to February 2023, while education will be held on Friday, November 25 2022 at the Jambi Smart Fast Global Education Hall. There were 37 female students who attended, apart from that, 1 Smart Fast admin, 2 Bachelor of Nutrition Science students and the PkM Team attended. The time allocation is ± 90 minutes starting with the pretest, then delivering the material using power point, followed by a question and answer session, closing with the posttest. Before and after education, a pretest and posttest are given which are carried out by activity participants. There was a change in the average knowledge before and after being given education

The purpose of this study was to determine the body image perceptions and nutritional status of adolescents in SMA N 10 Jambi City. This research was conducted in May-July 2024 at SMA N 10 Jambi City. This research is quantitative research. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires and measuring nutritional status. The sample size was 86 adolescents. Data analysis in this study used univariate analysis to determine the description of body image perceptions and nutritional status. The results showed that the percentage of adolescents who had a positive body image was 42 people (49.4%) and 43 people (50.6%) had negative body image perceptions. The picture of nutritional status is poor for 7 people (8.2%), good for 56 people (65.9%), overnourished for 17 people (20%) and obese for 5 people (5.9%). Abstract

The Adolescents are an age group in transition from children to adults, experiencing a period of development and growth characterised by rapid psychological, cognitive and physical changes. Adolescents' nutritional knowledge can influence their food choices to meet their body's nutritional needs. In this modern era, there are many fast foods that are favoured by teenagers and supported by very attractive advertisements, so fast food is very fast in marketing, but the habit of consuming fast food can cause various health problems such as overweight. This study aims to determine the description of nutritional knowledge and consumption habits of fast food in adolescents at SMAN 10 Jambi City and was conducted in April-August 2024. This study is a quantitative descriptive study data collection by distributing nutrition knowledge questionnaires and FFQ questionnaires. The sample size was 85 adolescents. Data analysis in this study used univariate analysis to determine the description of nutritional knowledge and fast-food consumption habits. The results showed a picture of poor nutritional knowledge in as many as 44 respondents (51.8%), moderate in as many as 29 respondents (34.1%) and good in as many as 12 respondents (14.1%). The picture of fast-food consumption habits as many as 80 respondents (94.1%) do not usually consume and as many as 5 respondents (5.9%) usually consume. It can be concluded that there are still adolescents who do not understand nutritional knowledge and usually consume fast food. It is expected that the school must control the consumption of fast food among adolescents in school by educating the vendors in the school canteen, namely to sell snacks that are good and healthy for adolescents and to reduce the types of snacks and foods related to fast food.

Abstract

Adolescents are defined as young people aged 10-19 years.   Adolescents experience rapid growth and development, and are included in a group that is vulnerable to nutritional problems, so they need to get the attention of many parties. This increasing lack of physical activity is a health problem that needs attention and can be addressed immediately. Lack of physical activity has also been identified as a risk factor for chronic disease. As an effort to prevent nutritional problems, this research was carried out to find out factors related to nutritional problems, one of which was adolescent physical activity among MTS students as many as 14 respondents at the Ainul Yaqin Orphanage, Jambi City. The results of the research showed that all respondents fell into the category of early adolescence, 100% of the respondents were male (50%) and 7 respondents were female (50%). Based on the level of physical activity of teenagers, the average number of respondents had a light physical activity level of 9 respondents (64.3%) and 5 respondents had a moderate level of physical activity (35.7%), there were no respondents with a heavy physical activity level. The conclusion in this study was that the majority of respondents, namely 9 respondents, had low levels of physical activity (64.3%). It is recommended that partners continue to motivate teenagers to increase their daily physical activity, so that their health status can be optimal. Future researchers can carry out further research with different variables and methods in efforts to prevent nutritional problems. The targeted output is scientific publication in accredited national journals.

Abstract

Nutritional problems in adolescents have an impact on optimizing adolescent growth and development. The direct causes of malnutrition in adolescents are the unbalanced food consumed and the presence of infectious diseases. Teenagers are usually not good at consuming daily food so that their immunity becomes weaker and they can be susceptible to disease and can make them more susceptible to infection and can reduce their appetite which can lead to nutritional deficiencies. Nutrition education regarding the 4 Pillars of Balanced Nutrition is one effort to prevent nutritional problems in adolescents. At the Ainul Yaqin Orphanage, most people still don't know about the 4 Pillars of Balanced Nutrition. The aim of this community service activity is to provide education on the 4 Pillars of Balanced Nutrition. The series of activities will start from March 2024 to July 2024 at the Ainul Yaqin Orphanage, Jambi City. There were 14 participants present. The material is delivered using the lecture method using power point for ± 90 minutes including a question and answer session with the participants. Before and after education, a pretest and posttest are given which are carried out by activity participants. The results obtained were a change in the average pretest and posttest knowledge, namely 22.2 (46.4 to 68.6). Another expected output is the publication of service results in a Sinta-indexed community service journal.
