Abstract

This paper was prepared as a contribution from KPM students of Bunga Bangsa Islamic University Cirebon who are concerned about the welfare of elderly. The paradigm that the elderly population is not economically productive and often suffers from various diseases has become a special concern for students in community service programs. Various activities are carried out to stimulate the fine and gross motor skills of the elderly, which at the same time proves that they need attention and appreciation from society, family, and the state. The implications of this community service program are very positive for the elderly in Tegalsari Village, Plered District, Cirebon Regency. Although there are time constraints in program implementation, this can be overcome by creating successor cadres. overcome by creating successor cadres who are able to continue the program. Thus, the benefits can be felt sustainably by the elderly community in the village. Students hope that this effort will not only improve the welfare of the elderly but also build community awareness of the importance of their role and support. Through this service, it is hoped that a society that cares more and appreciates the existence of the elderly as an important part of the community will be realized

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi zakat dalam menanggulangi kemiskinan. Kemiskinan menjadi salah satu masalah yang terjadi di banyak negara, baik negara berkembang maupun negara maju. Kemiskinan merupakan masalah mendasar dan menjadi pusat perhatian pemerintah di berbagai negara, sehingga pemerintah memiliki berbagai upaya untuk menanggulangi kemiskinan tersebut yang salah satunya dengan kontribusi zakat. Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan kepustakaan atau library research. Teknok pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan berbagai sunber data dan dengan mencari artikel yang relevan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa zakat merupakan instrument dalam ekonomi islam yang dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap tingkah laku seorang muslim dan dapat membangun ekonomi. Indonesia telah mengatur pengelolaan zakat dalam Undang-Undang Pengelolaan zakat yang dilakukan oleh BAZNAS dan LAZ. Orang yang mampu harus diarahkan untuk peduli dan membantu orang yang membutuhkan seperti fakir, miskin, dhuafa, dan mustadhafin. Salah satu bentuk kepedulian yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan membayar zakat dan shadaqah serta didistribusikan secara adil dan merata, maka kemiskinan dapat ditanggulangi.

Abstract

This service focuses on empowering housewives in Tegalsari Village, Plered District, Cirebon Regency, through the 2024 Community Service Lecture program of Universitas Islam Bunga Bangsa Cirebon (UIBBC). This program optimizes the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach to increase the economic independence of housewives through catfish cultivation and plants in buckets (budikdamber). The purpose of this service is to identify the potential and assets of housewives in improving their quality of life and creating sustainable business opportunities. The methodology used includes observation, interviews, and direct implementation of the budikdamber program in the field. The results of this service showed that most of the participants managed to maintain the survival of their fish, although there were some technical constraints such as the quality of the cultivation container and the frequency of feeding that affected the harvest. The program succeeded in improving the knowledge and skills of housewives in fish and plant farming, although there is a need for continuous improvement and monitoring to achieve more optimal results.
