Abstract

Abstract In this era of globalization, there are negative and positive impacts that can significantly affect the character or identity of Indonesian society, especially the younger generation and the loss of a sense of nationalism or love for the Republic of Indonesia. Therefore, Civic Education is the basis for the younger generation in Indonesia in responding to the negative impacts of globalization. This research uses a library method that is looking for reliable sources such as scientific journals, research articles and descriptive reports that are relevant. The results of this study indicate that the role of Civic Education is very important for the Indonesian state in this era of globalization, which aims to preserve the character or identity of the Indonesian state and be able to compete with foreign cultures. This has proven to be very important for the Indonesian people, such as the Indonesian people being able to think critically, have innovative and creative and of course obey the rules that apply in Indonesia. Therefore, understanding the role of civic education through the education sector requires synergy between all stakeholders. This will be the main capital needed in the current era of globalization. The term globalization is not a new term or a term of the day. Globalization can also be defined as the process of entering into a world that affects all important aspects of human life. Abstract

Pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, terutama rendahnya pemahaman murid akibat dominasi metode ceramah yang menyebabkan keterlibatan murid dalam proses pembelajaran belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan pemahaman murid kelas X KS2 SMK Negeri 7 Kota Tangerang Selatan pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila. Penelitian menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 36 murid kelas X KS2. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi aktivitas pembelajaran, dokumentasi, dan evaluasi hasil belajar, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan membandingkan hasil prasiklus, siklus I, dan siklus II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL mampu meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran. Antusiasme murid meningkat dari 20% pada siklus I menjadi 70% pada siklus II, sedangkan keterampilan murid dalam diskusi, presentasi, dan tanya jawab meningkat dari 35% menjadi 75%. Peningkatan juga terjadi pada pemahaman murid terhadap materi Pendidikan Pancasila, yaitu dari 27,5% pada siklus I menjadi 72,5% pada siklus II sehingga telah melampaui indikator keberhasilan penelitian sebesar 70%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Problem Based Learning mampu menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih aktif, kolaboratif, dan berpusat pada murid, sehingga efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman murid terhadap materi Pendidikan Pancasila di SMK.
