Abstract

The jusive mode in Arabic is called the jazm mode <الجزم حالة<. The jazm (jusif) mode  is characterized by its formal characteristics as a form of derivative or subordinate  mode of the indicative mode. Based on initial observations by researchers regarding  the jusive mode verbs in the Qur'an Surah Al Baqarah, researchers found a total of 31  data in the first 50 verses and it is suspected that more data will be found until the end  of the verses of this letter. The aim of this research is to determine and describe  variants of jusive mode verbs and grammatical markers of jusive mode verbs in the Al  Qur'an Surah Al Baqarah. This research is qualitative research with a library research  research design. The data is in the form of jusive mode verbs with the data source  being Al Qur'an Surah Al Baqarah. The instruments used in this research were data  cards and recapitulation sheets. The data collection technique uses a pre-considered  sampling technique (purposive sampling). The data analysis technique uses the  intralingual matching method. The results of this research show 303 data on jusive  mode verbs contained in the Qur'an Surah Al Baqarah. From this amount of data,  researchers took 104 data samples for analysis. The data is classified based on the  jusive mode verb variants and grammatical markers. Based on the jusive mode verb  variants, there are three variants of the jusive mode verb, namely (1) Not yet  implemented, (2) Conditional, (3) Imperative. Researchers found that 12 data had  meaning that had not been implemented, 18 data had conditional meaning, and 74  data had imperative. Based on the grammatical markers, there are three types of  grammatical markers for jusive mode verbs, namely (1) Short Vowel Sound Dating, (2)  Sound Dating of Words Containing Final Defective Letters, (3) Sound Dating of Words  Containing Final Nun Letters. Researchers found 28 data on the dating of short vowel  sounds, 13 data on the sound of words containing final defective letters, and 63 data  on the sound of words containing final letters.

Abstract

Education always adapts to technological advances, especially in learning Arabic reading skills. For this reason, teachers must innovate and be creative in designing learning media for Arabic reading skills, one of which is the development of linktree-based Sibbar (Arabic Language Learning Site). The problems studied in this study are:(1) how to analyze the needs of teachers and students for linktree-based Sibbar (Arabic Language Learning Site), (2) how to prototype linktree-based Sibbar (Arabica Language Learning Site), (3) how to validate experts and teachers against linktree-based Sibbar (Arabic Language Learning Site). This research uses mixed method research and uses research and development (R&D) research design with the ADDIE model without the implementation stage, so this research only uses four stages (Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation). Data collection techniques in thist study were questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The data validity test uses triangulation of techniques and sources. The results of this study are: First, teachers and students approved the development of linktree-based Sibbar (Arabic Language Learning Site) media. Second, this media prototype contains an initial display in the form of a menu page that contains several links on one landing page. Consists of (1) linktree account name (2) student attendance connected directly to google form, (3) Learning Outcomes, Learning Objectives, Learning Objectives Flow and indicators and indicators (4) Arabic learninga materials, containing mufrodat (vocabulary) materials and reading texts in the form of learning videos connected directly to google drive, (5) rules in the form of learning videos connected directly to google drive, (6) online game quizzes connected directly to the educandy website, (7) exercises. Third, the assessment on the media aspect obtained a total average score of 3.90 and the material aspect obtained a total average score of 3.89. The recapitulation of Sibbar (Arabic Language Learning Site) media value based on linktree is 3.89 with the category very feasible / very suitable, so it can be used for learning Arabic reading skills of grade 4th elementary school.

Abstract

This research aimed to explore the forms and characteristics of Arabic written symbols used in traditional medicine. Traditional medicine is in demand by the public, because of the perceived high cure rate and the failure of modern treatment that patients have undergone after undergoing medical treatment. Traditional medicine is more convincing than medical treatment. There has not been much research regarding the characteristics and methods of traditional medicine using Arabic symbols/writing. Arabic symbols or writing have been researched more in terms of meaning and ritual. Hence, this research utilized data source triangulation and technical triangulation. This qualitative research adopted a phenomenological approach. The research subjects were traditional medicine practitioners who used Arabic symbols/writing in their treatments and patients who had used traditional medicine. Determining the subjects of this research was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. The research results showed that prayers originating from the Qur'an and rajah with Arabic letter symbols were the therapist's mainstay medicine for treating patients. The use of prayers and rajahs with Arabic letter symbols varied from one therapist to another. Rajah in traditional medicine was used to treat various kinds of patient complaints. The rajah writing came from the books of Shams al Ma'arif al Kubra and Al Mujarrabat. Rajah came from verses from the Qur'an which were rewritten in the book of medicine. Proper interpretation and use of the Qur'an could provide effective improvements to a person's weak mental and psychological condition.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the DeepSeek artificial intelligence platform as a correction tool in the Murasalat course (Arabic correspondence) in the Arabic Language Education Study Program at Semarang State University. The background of this research is the complexity of Arabic proficiency for non-native Arabic speakers, encompassing grammar, vocabulary, and cultural sensitivity. The method used is a mixed-methods approach involving 30 fourth-semester students divided into experimental and control groups. The primary data consisted of students’ Arabic correspondence texts collected through pre-tests, post-tests, as well as questionnaire responses and semi-structured interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed using paired sample t-tests to determine differences between pre- and post-intervention scores, and effect size was calculated using Cohen’s d. Additionally, DeepSeek’s correction accuracy was measured across morphological, syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic error categories. Qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis to examine students’ perceptions of the tool. The results indicate that DeepSeek has high accuracy in detecting errors at the morphological, syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic levels, surpassing manual correction capabilities in several aspects. Statistical analysis revealed a significant improvement in scores among the experimental group, with a mean gain of 7,73 points and a very strong effect size (Cohen's d = 3.71). Students showed positive perceptions of this tool, as it provided instant feedback that enhanced their self-confidence. However, limitations were identified in detecting complex cultural-pragmatic nuances. This study concludes that integrating DeepSeek into the Arabic language curriculum can support more effective and accurate independent learning.

Abstract

Among students, transliteration is often used in writing papers, theses, or when reading Arabic texts that are difficult to read directly. Although there are transliteration standards from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, not all students have an adequate understanding of the rules of transliteration according to the standards. Many students still use transliteration freely and not based on official guidelines. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis design. The data in this study are the answers of new students of the UNNES Arabic Education study program totaling 52 people. The researcher used a questionnaire as an instrument and source triangulation to test the validity of the data. Based on the results of this study, there are many letters that are still not recognized by the official transliteration. The letter Dal is the least recognized with a percentage of 6% and the letter Fa' is the most commonly recognized with a percentage of 100%. Among the advantages of using transliteration is the ease of understanding and pronouncing Arabic texts, as well as increasing confidence for beginner Arabic learners. Even so, this transliteration guideline provides an opportunity for beginner Arabic learners to facilitate understanding of Arabic texts.   Keywords: Arabic Latin Transliteration, Student Perception, Arabic phonology
