Abstract

The conclusion of this article is that financial intelligence through financial behavior from an al-Quran perspective is intelligence as a combination of financial, spiritual, and social intelligence which is implemented through responsible financial behavior for managing assets, starting from how to acquire assets, manage and distribute them. This financial intelligence will provide benefits for oneself (shalihûn lî an-nafs), family (shalihûn lî al-usrah), the environment (shalihûn lî al-bî'ah) and the benefit of humanity (mashlahâtun li an-nâs) which will lead to Man's devotion to Allah Swt and everything he does is aimed solely at carrying out his noble duties as caliph (prospered of the earth) and servant of Allah Swt, which is reflected in balanced financial behavior between worldly needs and investments in the hereafter

Abstract

The phenomenon of increasing suicide rates among adolescents is a serious issue that requires attention from various parties. One of the psychological factors that influence suicidal tendencies is low self-esteem. This article aims to examine the concept of self-esteem from the perspective of the Qur'an and psychology and explore its contribution as a preventive approach to suicide among adolescents. This study uses a thematic interpretation (maudhû'i) method of Qur'anic verses related to self-respect, human dignity, and spiritual awareness, and analyzes them using modern psychological theories. The results of the study show that the Qur'an emphasizes human dignity and the importance of building positive self-awareness, while psychology explains that self-esteem is formed from individual experiences and the environment. The integration of the two shows that strengthening self-esteem through spiritual education and psychological guidance can be an effective strategy in preventing adolescent suicidal behavior. These findings emphasize the importance of a holistic approach in fostering adolescent mental health.

Abstract

This study examines Asma Barlas's thoughts on the rereading of the Qur'an text as a form of liberation of women from patriarchal interpretation. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and a literature review, this study examines Asma Barlas' main works, especially Believing Women in Islam: Unreading Patriarchal Interpretations of the Qur'an, as well as secondary literature relevant to gender interpretation and Islamic feminism. The study's results show that Asma Barlas rejects the notion that the Qur'an is patriarchal. He emphasized that gender bias in interpretation is a historical and social product of male mufasir who live in a patriarchal system. Using historical and hermeneutic arguments, Barlas constructs an epistemology of egalitarianism rooted in the concept of monotheism, in which there is no hierarchy of power between men and women. His reinterpretation of verses such as Q.S. An-Nisa [4]:34 and Q.S. Al-Baqarah [2]:228 affirms that the terms qiwamah and "male degree" do not confer legitimacy or superiority, but rather entail functional social responsibility. Thus, this study confirms that the Qur'an contains the values of justice and gender equality, which can serve as a theological foundation for women's liberation in contemporary Islam.
