Abstract

This study reviews the application of project-based learning methods in PKWU subjects of SMA Labshool UPI. The subject of Entrepreneurship Education (PKWU) has an important role in preparing students for the world of work and entrepreneurship. In this context, the purpose of the study is to identify the potential and effectiveness of project-based learning methods in improving students' understanding and skills in PPKWU subjects at the senior secondary level. This research also aims to design, implement, and evaluate the implementation of project-based learning methods that can integrate theory with practice in the classroom. This study used qualitative research methods using interview instruments to explore student experiences in the application of Project Based Learning Methods in PKWU subjects at SMA Labschool UPI. The results of this study show that the application of project-based methods in learning Crafts and Entrepreneurship subjects has a positive and significant impact on student development. One key aspect that stands out is the increased involvement of students in learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif berdasarkan studi pustaka untuk mengumpulkan dan menganalisis data dari berbagai sumber pustaka yang berkaitan dengan UI dan UX. Untuk penelitian UI pada SLiMS, observasi virtual digunakan dengan menginstal dan menggunakannya serta mengamati perpustakaan yang telah mengadopsi SLiMS. Sedangkan metode pengumpulan data UX pada aplikasi SLiMS menggunakan metode kuantitatif melalui kuisioner yang diisi oleh mahasiswa yang menggunakan aplikasi SLiMS. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa antarmuka SLiMS menawarkan tampilan yang bersih, rapi, dan mudah dinavigasi, memberikan pengalaman pengguna yang mudah dan intuitif. Fitur-fitur antarmuka seperti tampilan beranda, halaman pencarian buku, tampilan detail buku, formulir peminjaman buku, halaman anggota, dan laporan koleksi memberikan informasi lengkap dan bermanfaat bagi pengguna. Meskipun mayoritas pengguna menyukai antarmuka SLiMS, disarankan agar pengembang menyediakan petunjuk atau panduan yang lebih sederhana dan mudah diakses untuk fitur yang dianggap sulit dipahami oleh beberapa pengguna. Responsivitas antarmuka juga perlu ditingkatkan, terutama saat memuat halaman dan mengisi formulir, untuk memastikan pengalaman pengguna yang lebih baik. Pemeliharaan dan pembaruan secara berkala juga dianjurkan untuk menjaga SLiMS selalu berjalan dengan baik dan mengikuti perkembangan teknologi terbaru.

Abstract

Self-confidence is a crucial aspect of personal development, particularly for students in Islamic boarding schools who face numerous social and academic challenges. Self-confidence development activities at Nurul Mukhlasin Islamic Boarding School involve community service initiatives designed to enhance students' self-confidence and self-esteem. This service is provided due to the low level of self-confidence that hinders students' active participation in various activities within and outside the Islamic boarding school. The methods employed are lectures and participatory discussions, which involve direct interaction between facilitators and students to develop communication and self-expression skills. Twenty-two students participated in the activity. We evaluated by measuring changes in self-confidence levels before and after the activity through the distribution of questionnaires and direct observation. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in aspects of self-confidence, public speaking skills, involvement in discussions, and self-expression before and after the activity, which had a positive impact on students' communication skills, social interactions, and learning motivation. These findings confirm the benefits and effectiveness of the participatory discussion method as a medium for self-development in Islamic boarding schools and are recommended for continuous implementation in student development programs.   Abstrak Kepercayaan diri merupakan aspek penting dalam perkembangan pribadi, terutama bagi santri di lingkungan pondok pesantren yang menghadapi tantangan sosial dan akademik beragam. Kegiatan pembinaan kepercayaan diri di Pondok Pesantren Nurul Mukhlasin merupakan pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan meningkatkan kepercayaan diri santri. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan karena rendahnya tingkat kepercayaan diri yang menghambat partisipasi aktif santri dalam berbagai kegiatan di dalam maupun di luar pesantren. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah dan diskusi partisipatif yang melibatkan interaksi langsung antara fasilitator dan santri untuk membangun kemampuan komunikasi dan ekspresi diri dengan jumlah partisipan kegiatan sebanyak 22 orang santri. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan mengukur perubahan tingkat kepercayaan diri sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan melalui penyebaran kuesioner dan observasi langsung. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada aspek kepercayaan diri, kemampuan berbicara di depan umum, keterlibatan dalam diskusi, serta ekspresi diri sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan yang berdampak positif pada kemampuan komunikasi, interaksi sosial, dan motivasi belajar santri. Temuan ini menegaskan manfaat dan efektivitas metode diskusi partisipatif sebagai media pengembangan diri di pondok pesantren dan direkomendasikan untuk diterapkan secara berkelanjutan dalam program pembinaan santri. Abstract

In the rapidly developing digital era, the metaverse is increasingly becoming an integral part of human life, including in the world of education. Metaverse, as a three-dimensional virtual world, has great potential to change the learning paradigm into immersive and engaging interactive experiences. The use of the metaverse in interactive learning has become an interesting focus of exploration, along with advances in virtual reality and augmented reality technology. This opens the door to the exploration of new concepts through simulations, educational games, and global collaboration, freeing learning from the limitations of the conventional classroom. Engaging learning experiences, hands-on simulations in virtual environments, and global collaboration are the advantages of interactive learning through the metaverse. The literature review covers various types of metaverses, their potential in learning, their implementation in economic education, and interactive learning media based on Articulate Storyline 3. Although metaverses have a positive impact in improving the learning experience, ethical challenges such as accessibility, data security, and inclusivity need to be considered. The research results show that, although the metaverse opens a dynamic and exciting new era in digital education, certain limitations must be carefully addressed to ensure that the use of the metaverse in education provides maximum benefits for all students.   Abstrak Dalam era digital yang berkembang pesat, metaverse semakin menjadi bagian integral dari kehidupan manusia, termasuk dalam dunia pendidikan. Metaverse, sebagai dunia maya tiga dimensi, memiliki potensi besar untuk mengubah paradigma pembelajaran menjadi pengalaman interaktif yang mendalam dan menarik. Pemanfaatan metaverse dalam pembelajaran interaktif menjadi fokus eksplorasi yang menarik, seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi virtual reality dan augmented reality. Ini membuka pintu untuk eksplorasi konsep baru melalui simulasi, permainan edukatif, dan kolaborasi global, membebaskan pembelajaran dari keterbatasan ruang kelas konvensional. Pengalaman pembelajaran yang menarik, simulasi praktik langsung dalam lingkungan virtual, dan kolaborasi global menjadi keuntungan pembelajaran interaktif melalui metaverse. Tinjauan literatur mencakup berbagai jenis metaverse, potensinya dalam pembelajaran, implementasinya dalam pendidikan ekonomi, dan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Articulate Storyline 3. Meskipun metaverse memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan pengalaman belajar, tantangan etika seperti aksesibilitas, keamanan data, dan inklusivitas perlu diperhatikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, meskipun metaverse membuka era baru dalam pendidikan digital yang dinamis dan menarik, keterbatasan tertentu harus diatasi dengan cermat untuk memastikan bahwa penggunaan metaverse dalam pendidikan memberikan manfaat yang maksimal bagi seluruh peserta didik. Abstract

Earthquakes threaten not only human life and infrastructure but also cultural heritage and information resources preserved in libraries, archives, and museums. One of the active fault systems in West Java, the Lembang Fault, poses significant seismic risks to Bandung and surrounding areas. This study aims to explore BPBD’s perspective on earthquake risks associated with the Lembang Fault and examine their implications for cultural heritage and information preservation in Bandung. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with three purposively selected BPBD informants involved in disaster mitigation and preparedness activities. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that BPBD views disaster mitigation as a continuous and preventive effort involving hazard mapping, public education, institutional collaboration, emergency planning, and preparedness strategies. The study also highlights the importance of integrating disaster preparedness into preservation management to protect cultural heritage and ensure the sustainability of information resources in disaster-prone areas. This research contributes to the growing discussion on disaster preparedness within Library and Information Science, particularly in the context of cultural heritage preservation.Keywords: BPDB, Cultural heritage preservation, Disaster mitigation, Lembang Fault, , Libraries and archives preparedness
