Abstract

Flood is an environmental problem that regularly occurs in communities around the coast. This condition causes changes in the physical and social environment of the community so that they can continue to live with the requirements of the tidal flood environment. Communities on the coast must adjust to the conditions in which they live in tidal flood areas. This study aims to find out how the physical and social environmental conditions of the community affected by the tidal flood on the coast of Semarang are and the factors that affect the physical and social needs of the community affected by the tidal flood on the coast of Semarang. This study uses a qualitative method. Data were collected by observing the field, conducting interviews with informants, and studying documents or literature. The location of this research is in Kaligawe and Tambak Lorok Villages, Semarang. The results of this study are that the Kaligawe and Tambak Lorok communities affected by tidal flooding on the coast of Semarang adapt to the physical environment, namely the conditions of their homes, places of worship, and public facilities. House building because the house building is lower than the village road. In the social environment of the community affected by tidal flooding both in Kaligawe and Tambak Lorok, there is a kind of bond that makes the community strong in facing tidal flooding for dozens or even decades. The internal factor is the feeling of sharing the same fate, making them strengthen each other outwardly and inwardly.

Abstract

The phenomenon of migrant families is one form of parenting that causes limitations for parents in carrying out their roles and functions as caregivers and educators of children. Children's interaction with parents is limited, causing a lack of control over children's character development. The purpose of this study is to examine in depth the role of the family in instilling children's social character and to analyse the role of kiai in shaping the social character of children left behind by migrants in Bangkes Village. This research method is qualitative by involving caregivers, namely mothers and aunts and Kiai figures as the main informants. This research was conducted on Madurese migrants' family in Bangkes Village, Kadur Sub-district, Pamekasan Regency with data collection methods of observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that the parenting role of children in Bangkes village was carried out by mothers and family, namely aunts. The form of family parenting is effective in shaping the social character of children who are more independent, responsible and have integrity based on their level of education and knowledge. In addition, the role of Kiai as a religious figure helps shape and provide control over children's character through understanding moral and religious values. The implications of this research provide recommendations for collaborative parenting plans between families and religious leaders.

Abstract

The lack of social intelligence in students is something that needs attention. Many factors cause the lack of social intelligence, including the learning process that does not channel the formation of social intelligence in students. Through the independent curriculum, the government seeks to foster students' social intelligence. The research objective examines students' perceptions of the independent curriculum and strengthening social intelligence through social studies learning through the implementation of the independent curriculum at SMPN 22 Semarang and MTs Arrois Cendekia. Researchers applied descriptive qualitative methods with research locations at SMPN 22 Semarang and MTs Arrois Cendekia Semarang.  The results showed that male and female seventh-grade students at SMP N 22 Semarang perceived that the independent curriculum in learning tended to be monotonous, causing laziness to be active during learning.  VII grade students at MTs Arrois Cendekia perceive the independent curriculum in the learning process to be active, innovative, and creative so that it creates a sense of wanting to communicate and socialize among friends when learning takes place. The conclusion of the study shows that the school context and the learning approach used can influence students' perceptions regarding the implementation of an independent curriculum and the form of strengthening social intelligence can be encouraged through the applied learning approach.

Abstract

Character problems such as lack of discipline, acts of violence, deviant behavior often occur among students. Social capital owned by schools is one of the solutions to the character problems of students. The purpose of this study is to examine the development of students' character, the development of habituation, and the use of school social capital on the character of students. This research uses a qualitative approach. The research informant is the principal, teacher and parent. Informant selection techniques using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. Data validity techniques through data sources triangulation. The results showed that the development of the character of students through the process of learning activities, extracurricular activities, and involving the role of parents. Development of habituation through the inculcation of cultural values, teacher capacity building programs and in the implementation of the curriculum. Social capital owned is trust, network and norms. The results of this study can be an input or suggestion for other schools regarding the role of social capital in developing the character of students by utilizing the social capital owned by the school.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the concept of CBT in the development of local tourism in the southern Rayon area of ​​Pacitan related to the natural environment and socio-cultural economy as a strategy to develop a sustainable tourism framework. This study emphasizes a descriptive qualitative research approach that provides an overview of how the involvement of village communities in tourism development in the southern coastal area. The data collection methods used in this study are observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Observations were carried out in several related tourism areas such as tourist areas in the Kalak Village, Sendang Village, Widoro Village, and Sawahan Village areas. Research informants in this study involved several related parties such as business actors in the area around the tourist area, members of the Pokdarwis group, local village officials, and several residents in the related tourist area. The results of this study indicate that community involvement in the context of CBT can be seen in two main thing, namely the environment aspect and the socio-cultural economy aspect. In terms of the environment, CBT is seen in the strengthening of tourism infrastructure such as stalls, souvenir shops, car and motorbike parking, toilets, homestays, road access, fishing area and others. Meanwhile, in the socio-cultural economic aspect, CBT appears in the role of local community institutions such as BUMDes and Pokdarwis which act as a bridge to mediate the role of the community to be involved in the tourism development process in rural areas.
