Abstract

This study aims to describe the interrelationship of Trunthung Music performances which are presented as tourism packages in Magelang Regency. The various events held presented Trunthung Music as a manifestation of local potential that represents environmental conditions in Magelang, starting from the Borobudur Temple, to the geographical conditions surrounded by five mountains, namely Merapi, Merbabu, Andong, Sumbing, and Menoreh Mountains. This study uses the concept of ecomusicology that combines elements of music, culture, and the environment. This research is a qualitative research with data collection methods obtained using the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that Trunthung Music performances are music that grows and develops on the role of Sutanto Mendut and farmer artists from Merbabu. Handoko and Riyadi are artists who continue to develop Trunthung Music performances, until now Trunthung Music is a performance that represents the environment and culture in tourism packages around Magelang Regency. "Peradaban Desa" is one clear evidence of the interrelationship between nature and culture as a form of local potential of the five mountain art community.

Abstract

Kungkurung music is a traditional South Kalimantan music made of bamboo and is identical to that of the mountain people. This music is very popular with the Dayak Meratus people of South Kalimantan. This musical instrument is found in rural areas or mountains that are overgrown with bamboo. The problem that will be raised in this study is how the history of kungkurung in the Dayak Meratus community in Piani District, Tapin Regency tho the function of kungkurung music in the Meratus Dayak community in Piani District, Tapin Regency. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach which will be carried out in Piani District, Tapin Regency. Data collection techniques through observation, and documentation interviews. While the data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, and triangulation. The results of the research on kungkurung music have a history of ritual expulsion of supernatural beings that often disturb the community. The supernatural creature named Dundun ghost. Dundun's ghost often kidnaps small children in the Pipitak Jaya area. These little children always disappear when their parents are away. The function of music as an emotional expression, the function of music as an aesthetic appreciation, the function of music as entertainment, the function of music as a means of communication, the function of music as a symbol, the function of music is related to social norms, the function of music as a means of communication. Abstract

Law Number 5 of 2017 concerning Cultural Advancement is a reference for the Department of Culture and Tourism in forming Gambang Semarang as an art identity in the City of Semarang. Various efforts have been made by referring to the five strategies for advancing culture stated in the law, and 4 of the five strategies have started to run starting from efforts: 1) Preservation, 2) Development, 3) Utilization, and 4) Coaching. This study examines and describes the Semarang City government's strategy in implementing a cultural preservation strategy to preserve Gambang Semarang. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection in this study was obtained through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data was analyzed using interactive analysis techniques. The validity of the data was tested using source triangulation techniques, technical triangulation, and time triangulation. The results of the study indicate that Gambang Semarang needs to be endeavored so that it can be preserved sustainably from various aspects until the identity of Semarang is formed from the art of Gambang Semarang itself.
