Abstract

ABSTRACTJambi Province is one of the areas most inhabited by the Anak Dalam Tribe (SAD). Their estimated population in Jambi province alone is around 200,000 people. SAD life itself is often known as hunting and gathering to meet life's needs. Pelempang, Muaro Jambi Regency is one of the areas in Mestong village/sub-district, Muaro Jambi Regency, Jambi Province. Their distance which is quite far from the outside environment makes them live more by utilizing natural materials as a means of fulfilling their daily needs, ranging from food to medical needs. Herbal plants are a type of plant that is able to provide pharmacological effects on the body. In the last few years, we have been surprised by the emergence of a disease condition caused by a virus, namely the corona virus, better known as COVID-19. This condition requires us to always try to improve our health or body immunity to minimize the bad effects of this virus attack. So that many herbal products have emerged that are beneficial to the immune system, both in the form of beverage products and in the form of snacks so that what used to be known by the public about herbal medicines is a medicine that is not tasty and comfortable to consume, and has become a product that is delicious to eat and has benefits for the body's immunity. The distance of access means that education for the SAD community is also minimal. So it is important to provide additional knowledge to improve their quality of life and be able to blend in with the surrounding community. The solution offered in this activity is to provide knowledge and training about the importance of maintaining health and how to use medicinal plants to be given training in making herbal snacks which have many health benefits. This service activity will be carried out in Pelempang village, Maestong sub-district, Muaro Jambi district, Jambi province. This activity was carried out offline and was attended by 30 participants. The results of the activity show that there is additional knowledge for the SAD community in the process of processing herbal products that are delicious to enjoy.Keywords: snacks, SAD, Herbal, Palempang Village ABSTRAK Provinsi jambi merupakan salah satu wilayah yang paling banyak ditempati oleh Suku Anak Dalam (SAD). Perkiraan jumlah populasi mereka di provinsi jambi sendiri adalah sekitar 200.000 orang. Kehidupan SAD sendiri sering dikenal dengan berburu dan meramu guna memenuhi kebutuhan hidup. Pelempang, kabupaten muaro jambi merupakan salah satu daerah yang berada didesa/kelurahan Mestong Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, Provinsi Jambi. Jarak mereka yang cukup jauh dari lingkungan luar membuat mereka hidup lebih memanfaatkan bahan alam sebagai sarana pemenuhan kebutuhan hidup mulai dari makanan hingga untuk medis. Tanaman herbal merupakan jenis tanaman yang mampu memberikan efek farmakologis bagi tubuh. Beberapa tahun terakhir kita sempat dikejutkan dengan munculnya kondisi penyakit yang disebabkan oleh virus yaitu corona virus yang lebih dikenal dengan COVID-19. Kondisi ini menuntut kita untuk selalu berupaya meningkatkan kesehatan atau imunitas tubuh untuk meminimalisir efek buruk dari serangan virus tersebut. Sehingga telah banyak bermunculan produk-produk herbal yang bermanfaat bagi kekebalan tubuh baik itu berbentuk produk minuman maupun berbentuk snack sehingga yang dulunya masyarakat mengenal obat herbal merupakan obat yang tidak enak dan nyaman dikonsumsi menjadi produk yang nikmat untuk d makan dan memiliki manfaat bagi imunitas tubuh. Jauhnya akses membuat pendidikan bagi masyarakat SAD juga minim. Sehingga pentingnya memberi pengetahuan tambahan untuk memperbaiki kualitas hidup mereka dan dapat berbaur dengan masyarakat sekitar. Solusi yang ditawarkan pada kegiatan ini adalah Memberikan pengetahuan dan pelatihan tentang pentingnya menjaga kesehatan dan cara pemanfaatan tanaman berkhasiat obat untuk diberikan pelatihan pembuatan snack herbal yang memiliki banyak manfaat bagi kesehatan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini akan dilaksanakan di desa pelempang kelurahan maestong kabupaten muaro jambi provinsi jambi. Kegiatan ini dilakukan secara offline yang dihadiri sebanyak 30 orang peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya tambahan pengetahuan bagi masyarakat SAD dalam proses pengolahan produk herbal yang enak untuk di nikmati. Kata kunci: snack, SAD, Herbal, Desa Palempang

Abstract

The ethanol extract ekor naga leaves (Rhaphidophora pinnata (L.f) Schott) has been studied as an anti-inflammatory agent. This study aims to formulate a topical preparation of ekor naga leavesextract gel so that it can be a futher step from previous research as a product development effort. The research method used is experimental design. The treatment group was divided into five groups: positive control (Hydrocortisone), Formula 0 (Gel Base), Formula 1 (10% Extract Concentration), Formula 2 (15% Extract Concentration), and Formula 3 (20% Extract Concentration). The test animals used in each treatment group were 5 animals. The data obtained were analyzed using one way ANOVA with a 95% confidence level. The results showed that the more extracts, the better the anti-inflammatory effect. However, based on preparation evaluation data in previous studies regarding gel formulations, it was concluded that formula 2 was the best formula with an effect that was statistically almost the same as formula 3 and had good gel stability in the formulation. Keywords: Ekor Naga Leaves, Gel, Inflammation, Air Pouch Abstrak Ekstrak etanol daun ekor naga  (Rhaphidophora pinnata (L.f) Schott) telah diteliti memiliki efek sebagai agen antiinflamasi. Penenlitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasi sediaan topikal gel ekstrak daun ekor naga sehingga dapat menjadi menjadi langkah lanjut dari penelitian sebelumnya sebagai upaya pengembangan produk. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah experimental design. Kelompok perlakuan dibagi menjadi lima kelompok yaitu: Kontrol positif (Hidrokortisone), Formula 0 (Basis Gel), Formula 1 (Konsentrasi Ekstrak 10%), Formula 2 (Konsentrasi Ekstrak 15%), dan Formula 3 (Konsentrasi Ekstrak 20%). Hewan uji yang digunakan masing-masing kelompok perlakuan 5 ekor. Data yang didapat dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA satu arah dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin banyak ekstrak maka semakin baik efek antiinflamasinya. Namun berdasarkan data evaluasi sediaan pada penelitian sebelumnya tentang formulasi gel maka disimpulkan bahwa formula 2 merupakan formula terbaik dengan efek yang secara statistic hampir sama dengan formula 3 serta memiliki stabilitas gel yang baik dalam formulasi. Abstract

Ekor Naga (Rhaphidophora pinnata (L.f) Schott) leaves is a traditional medicinal plant that contains secondary metabolites of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins, which have antioxidant effects. Uncontrolled diabetes mellitus will be one of the triggers for high free radicals in the body. This study aims to determine the effect of the effect of ekor naga leaves extract which has potentian as an antioxidant on malondialdehyde levels as a prooxidant marker in alloxan-induced diabetes mellitus rats. The reseaech method used a post test only control group design. The test animals used were 20 animals, each group of 5 test animals. Group 1: Positive Control (Glibenclamide 10 mg/Kg BW), Group 2: Negative Control (Na CMC 0,5%), Group 3: Ekor Naga Leaf Extract 250 mg/Kg BW, and Group 4: Ekor Naga Leaves Extract 500 mg/Kg BW. The data taken is the level of malondialdehyde in the blood. The results were analyzed using One-way ANOVA with a 95% confidence level. The results showed that the ethanolic extract of the ekor naga leaves had a role in reducing Malondialdehyde or lipid peroxide in the blood in diabetic rats where the best dose is 500 mg/Kg with malondialdehyde yield of 0,569 nmol/mL. Followed by a dose of 250 mg/Kg BW with malondialdehyde value of 2,144 nmol/mL.
