Abstract

Calligraphy is a well-known art in the Islamic world, so as Muslims, we must know what calligraphy. Calligraphy is also an art that has developed widely, especially in Islamic educational institutions. Calligraphy is also one of the arts that are in great demand, especially among those who has art and skills. Calligraphy is studied in various educational institutions but the calligraphy learning system between them has differences. The purpose of this research is to find out the calligraphy learning system in traditional boarding school. This research uses a literature study method and a type of qualitative method by conducting a field research approach. Data collection and analysis using interview techniques, researchers conducted interviews with several sources. The results showed that the calligraphy learning system in traditional boarding school is obligatory and some make it extracurricular, for those who require it, the learning system is held once a week, with the teacher system explaining in front of the class then the students do trials and practice.

Abstract

Calligraphy as a branch of art that has long roots, origins and history, besides having many kinds that show artistic peaks that attract attention because of their prowess, in Indonesia, calligraphy was present in line with the entry of Islam through trade routes in the 7th century M, then spread to remote parts of the archipelago around the 12th century AD. The method used is This research is included in qualitative research using a descriptive approach. Data sources are data from journals, library research methods with discussions about calligraphy (khat). Data collection techniques were carried out in three ways, namely: data collection, data reduction and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that Learning Calligraphy at Modern Islamic Boarding Schools uses many methods such as the lecture method, demonstration method, question and answer method, drill/assignment method, SAS method. , Field Trip Methods and Methods of Training and Practice.

Abstract

Kemuculan filsafat Islam dalam diskursus ilmu pengetahuan mengundang ragam pandangan, akan kedudukannya. Beberapa pandangan menyebutkan bahwa filsafat Islam tidaklah bersumber dari ajaran Islam, melainkan duplikat filsafat Yunani, sehingga para filosof muslim hanya melanjutkan apa yang telah dirintis oleh para filsuf Yunani, seperti Sokrates, Plato dan lain sebagainya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Library Research atau yang dikenal dengan studi pustaka, yaitu peneltian yang bersumber dari khazanah kepustakaan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah filsafat Islam yang saat ini dipelajari tidak lain merupakan kontribusi dari Bayt al-Hikmah yang didirikan oleh Khalifah al-Ma'mun pada masa Daulah Abbasiyah yang melahirkan banyak filosof dan ilmuwan Islam. Bayt Al-Hikmah didirikan salah satunya adalah sebagai wadah untuk menerjemahkan kembali karya-karya filosof Yunani, sehingga ilmu yang bersumber dari Yunani dapat dijadikan inspirasi untuk peradaban Islam. Tentunya, para filosof Islam berbeda cara pengakajian dengan pra filosof Barat, dimana para filosof Islam tetap meyakini bahwa Allah SWT sebagai kebenaran tertinggi.
