Abstract

Telah dilakukan studi komparasi untuk menguji keandalan model EMZHA dibandingkan model Langmuir dan Freunlich dalam penyerapan ion logam Cu(II), Cd(II) dan Pb(II) oleh beberapa biosorben. Model EMZHA adalah model adsorbsi baru yang diusulkan oleh peneliti Indonesia sebagai upaya mendapatkan model yang lebih bersifat universal (berlaku untuk semua tipe data) sehingga dapat digunakan untuk mengungkap mekanisme adsorbsi secara lebih lengkap dan mendasar. Model Langmuir dan Freunlich dipillih sebagai pembanding karena kedua model ini paling banyak digunakan dan memiliki karakter yang cenderung berlawanan. Penelitian ini digunakan data ekperimen dalam bentuk aslinya,  tidak diubah kedalam bentuk linier terlebih dahulu, dengan tujuan untuk menghindari error yang timbul akibat proses linierisasi. Regresi yang digunakan adalah regresi non linier. Metode penelitian ini dibagi dalam dua tahapan yaitu tahap pengumpulan data eksperimen yang berasal dari berbagai penelitian adsorbsi ion logam berat oleh berbagai biosorben dan pengolahan data komparasi model. Pengusul model EMZHA telah melaporkan keandalan prediksi model ini untuk penyerapan beberapa ion logam tapi hanya menggunakan satu jenis biosorben, yaitu kulit buah atap, sedangkan penelitian ini menggunakan 11 biosorben yang berbeda. Pada penelitian ini berhasil dibuktikan bahwa model EMZHA memiliki koefisien determinasi rata-rata 0,9034 yang lebih tinggi dari rata-rata koefisien determinasi model Langmuir (0,8485) dan Freundlich (0,8483).Comparative studies have been conducted to test the reliability of the EMZHA model compared to the Langmuir and Freunlich models in the absorption of Cu (II), Cd (II) and Pb (II) metal ions by several biosorbents. The EMZHA model is a new adsorption model proposed by Indonesian researchers in an effort to obtain a more universal model (applicable to all types of data) so that it can be used to uncover the mechanism of adsorption more fully and fundamentally. Langmuir and Freunlich's models are chosen as a comparison because these two models are the most widely used and have opposing characters. This study used experimental data in its original form, not converted into linear form first, with the aim of avoiding errors arising from the linearization process. The regression used is non linear regression. This research method is divided into two stages, namely the stage of collecting experimental data derived from various studies of adsorption of heavy metal ions by various biosorbents and the processing of comparative data models. Proponents of the EMZHA model have reported the reliability of the prediction of this model for the absorption of several metal ions but only use one type of biosorbent, namely the skin of the roof, while this study uses 11 different biosorbents. In this study successfully proved that the EMZHA model has an average determination coefficient of 0.9034 which is higher than the average coefficient of determination of the Langmuir model (0.8485) and Freundlich (0.8483).

Abstract

The concept of electromagnetic induction is very important in understanding and developing modern electrical technology. Some factors cause students to often find it difficult to understand electromagnetic induction material in school is that this material involves abstract concepts such as magnetic flux, magnetic field changes, and emf. For some students, understanding these concepts may be difficult due to a lack of direct experience or concrete representations. Enrichment of physics material on electromagnetic induction has been implemented at SMA N 1 Gunung Talang. This service activity aims to improve students' understanding of the basic concepts of Electromagnetic Induction in Class XII. This service consists of three stages including: preparation, implementation and evaluation. The evaluation of this activity was carried out by comparing the pre-test results before enrichment and the post-test scores of students after being given enrichment material by the lecturer (service team). The results obtained show an increase in student knowledge towards understanding the concept of electromagnetic induction. This service activity can be an effort for school and university cooperation to support student success in understanding physics concepts that are considered complicated

Abstract

The National Science Olympiad (OSN) is a prestigious event that involves the best students from various levels of education who have passed a rigorous selection at the district and provincial levels. One way to improve the quality of students in facing the OSN in Science and Mathematics is through structured coaching. The OSN Science and Mathematics Workshop held around the UNAND campus in Padang City is one such effort that has proven successful. The objectives of this workshop include three main aspects, namely improving the competence of high school students in basic science and mathematics, improving students' skills in solving OSN questions and improving the quality of high school education in Padang City. The workshop consisted of three main stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. In the planning stage, OSN questions from the previous year were collected to be used as learning materials. The implementation stage involved a series of activities, including a pre-test, structured learning through lectures, question simulations, and discussions using audiovisual aids. The evaluation was conducted through a post-test to measure the improvement of students' understanding after attending the workshop. The results of this workshop showed a significant increase in the understanding of students who had participated from 30% to 60%. This illustrates the effectiveness of a sustainable and structured approach in improving student competencies to face OSN competitions in Science and Mathematics. This workshop could become a model for efforts to improve the quality of education in schools around the campus. It can be an inspiration for other educational institutions. Keywords: National Science Olympiad (OSN), Senior High School, workshop Abstrak Olimpiade Sains Nasional (OSN) adalah ajang prestisius yang melibatkan siswa-siswa terbaik dari berbagai tingkatan pendidikan yang telah melewati seleksi ketat di tingkat kabupaten dan provinsi. Salah satu cara meningkatkan kualitas siswa menghadapi OSN bidang IPA dan Matematika adalah melalui pembinaan terstruktur. Workshop OSN IPA dan Matematika yang diselenggarakan di sekitar kampus Universitas Andalas (UNAND) di Kota Padang adalah salah satu upaya yang telah terbukti berhasil. Tujuan dari workshop ini mencakup tiga aspek utama, yaitu meningkatkan kompetensi, keterampilan, dan mutu pendidikan siswa SMA dalam ilmu dasar IPA dan Matematika di Kota Padang. Workshop ini terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pada tahap perencanaan, soal-soal OSN dari tahun sebelumnya dikumpulkan sebagai bahan pembelajaran. Tahap pelaksanaan, dilakukan pre-test, ceramah, simulasi soal, dan diskusi dengan peralatan audiovisual. Evaluasi dilakukan post-test untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman siswa setelah workshop. Hasilnya, terjadi peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman soal OSN, yaitu dari 30% menjadi 60%. Hal ini menggambarkan efektivitas pendekatan berkelanjutan dan terstruktur dalam meningkatkan kompetensi siswa untuk menghadapi kompetisi OSN bidang IPA dan Matematika. Workshop semacam ini berpotensi menjadi model upaya peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah sekitar kampus dan dapat menjadi inspirasi bagi lembaga pendidikan lain.
