Abstract

ABSTRACT. This study aims to determine the effect of Active Learning model on the liveliness and learning outcomes of syudents in class XII MIPA MAN Kota Palangka Raya material cell division. Active Learning is a learning that can encourage avtive learners to ask and argue. Activeness is needed in learning activities because of the participation of the deeper undedrstanding. Observations and interviews with teacher of MAN Kota Palangka Raya obtained information that learners tend to be passive and replication value of cell division material under KKM. The situation is deemed necessary to be by applying the Active Learning model to determine its influence on the liveliness and learning outcomes. The sample was taken using puposive sampling technique. Based on the results of this study note that the Active Learning model can increase the liveliness of learners with the percentage of 84,90%in the experimental class and 58,85% in the control class. This model also affect the increase of students’ learning outcomes with average N-gain in the experimental class of 0,70 which is high while the control class is 0,44 whichis claaified as N-gain is. The conclusion of this research is the influence of Active Learning on the activity and learning outcomes of students of class XII MIPA MAN Kota Palangka Raya material of cell divisoin. ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Active Learning terhadap keaktifan dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XII MIPA MAN Kota Palangka Raya materi pembelahan sel. Active Learning merupakan pembelajaran yang dapat memacu peserta didik aktif bertanya dan berpendapat. Keaktifan sangat diperlukan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran karena dengan adanya partisipasi maka pemahaman lebih mendalam. Hasil observasi dan wawancara dengan guru MAN Kota Palangka Raya diperoleh informasi bahwa peserta didik cenderung pasif dan nilai ulangan materi pembelahan sel dibawah KKM. Keadaan tersebut dirasa perlu diselesaikan dengan menerapkan model Active Learning untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap keaktifan dan hasil belajar. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut diketahui bahwa model Active Learning dapat meningkatkan keaktifan peserta didik dengan persentase 84,90% dikelas eksperimen dan 58,85% dikelas kontrol. Model ini pun berpengaruh terhadap meningkatnya hasil belajar peserta didik dengan rata-rata N-gain dikelas eksperimen sebesar 0,70 yang tergolong tinggi sedangkan dikelas kontrol sebesar 0,44 yang tergolong N-gain sedang. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah adanya pengaruh model Active Learning terhadap keaktifan dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XII MIPA MAN Kota Palangka Raya materi pembelahan sel.

Abstract

Tempe is an inherent food source for Indonesians, with a large number of tempe consumers in the local community. This community service program aims to improve students' understanding and skills in processing cempedak seeds into tempe, including drying methods that allow long-term storage. This activity was carried out from July to November 2024. This activity was carried out in several stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the completion stage. The program on the utilization of cempedak seeds in tempeh production shows promising potential as a food innovation based on local resources. The success rate of this program is not only measured from the production aspect, but also from the transfer of knowledge to students who act as agents of change in alternative food development. Some of the advantages of this activity program are that it provides an alternative utilization of cempedak seed waste into products with nutritional value. In addition, the production cost is relatively affordable compared to the use of soybean. The disadvantage of this program is that the availability of raw materials depends on the cempedak harvest season.

Abstract

Pendidikan Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) di Indonesia berperan penting dalam mempersiapkan siswa untuk memasuki dunia kerja melalui pengembangan keterampilan praktis dan profesional. Namun data BPS menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pengangguran terbuka pada lulusan jenjang sekolah menengah mencapai 8,41 % pada bulan Februari 2023. Hal ini menandakan adanya kesenjangan antara keterampilan yang diajarkan di SMK dan kebutuhan pasar kerja. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, diperlukan peningkatan kualitas dan daya saing lulusan melalui praktik wirausaha dan inovasi produk terutama dalam sektor ekraf atau ekonomi kreatif. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan di SMKN 2 Palangka Raya bertujuan untuk melatih siswa dalam pembuatan mayonaise dan salad sayut, serta meningkatkan keterampilan hidup dan jiwa berwirausaha. Metode yang digunkan dalam pengabdian ini adalah demonstrasi dan pendampingan dengan fokus pada pengembangan karakter siswa dalam berwirausaha. Peserta didik menujukkan respon merasa senang dengan adanya kegiatan ini. Kegiatan pengabdian ini membantu menambah pengetahuan siswa SMKN 2 Palangka Raya terkait pembuatan mayonaise dan salad sayur. Hasil dari pelatihan ini adalah siswa dapat memahami makanan sehat dan belajar membuat serta membuka peluang usahanya sendiri di masa yang akan datang. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberian pengalaman belajar yang relevan untuk menghadapi tantangan di dunia kerja.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat merupakan salah satu program dalam mengimplementasikan keterampilan mahasiswa untuk hidup bermasyarakat. Pengabdian wajib dilaksanakan oleh Universitas atau Institusi yang menganut Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. Lokasi pengabdian di Desa Bangun Harja, Kecamatan Seruyan Hilir Timur, Kabupaten Seruyan. Program kerja yang dilakukan salah satunya adalah membantu warga dalam pembuatan dan pemasangan papan nama jalan, penunjuk rumah ketua RT/RW dan papan nama mushola. Salah satu yang menjadi kendala terutama untuk warga pendatang adalah tidak tersedianya papan penunjuk jalan di desa. Oleh karena itu dilakukannya program kerja pembuatan dan pemasangan papan plang ini. Program kerja ini dilakukan dalam 4 tahapan. Tahap pertama yaitu melakukan observasi/survey lokasi, tahap kedua menyiapkan perlengkapan yang dibutuhkan untuk proses pembuatan, tahap ketiga yaitu proses pembuatan mulai dari pemotongan papan dan tiang, pengecatan, dan lain-lain serta tahap keempat yaitu pemasangan papan plang nama tersebut.

Abstract

Central Kalimantan is rich in natural resources of potential medicinal plants, such as bay leaf and noni. These medicinal plants have been used traditionally. However, there is minimal scientific evidence about their use as a medicine due to limited research. The current research aims to identify the influence of applying a combination of bay leaf and noni fruit extract in lowering cholesterol levels in Balb/c hypercholesterolemic mice. The research employs a mixed method, namely explorative and experimental research. The research subjects are 28 female Balb/c mice in a hypercholesterolemic condition. The research consists of 7 treatments, namely positive control, negative control, P1 (20%), P2 (30%), P3 (40%), P4 (50%), and P5 (60%) with 4x repetitions. It combines the extract of bay leaf and noni fruit to lower cholesterol levels in the research subjects. Data analysis uses one-way ANOVA. The research results indicate that the application of a combination of bay leaf and noni fruit extract has a significant influence on the reduction of cholesterol levels in hypercholesterolemic mice with a p-value α (α 0.05) of 0.000. The concentration effective in lowering the cholesterol levels in hypercholesterolemic mice is in concentration P7 (60%) with a reduction of 59.25 mg/dL.

Abstract

Effect of Soaking Duration Bulb in 75% Old Coconut Water on Growth and Yield of Bima Brebes Shallot (Allium cepa L.): Plant Height, Leaf Count, Bulb Number, Bulb Diameter, and Bulb Weight. Shallot production in Central Kalimantan in 2021 decreased from the previous year due to the lack of application of growth regulators by farmers in addition to fertilizing. The provision of growth regulators from coconut water is one effort to increase crop production. Coconut water contains minerals and growth hormones that are very much needed by plants. Similar research has been conducted previously with 75% young coconut water, but the administration with old coconut water has not been carried out, so it becomes the basis for the research. This study aims to determine the effect of the duration of soaking shallot bulbs of the Bima Brebes variety in 75% old coconut water on the growth and yield of bulbs. The study was conducted in July-October 2023, located in Menteng Village, Palangka Raya City. This study used a 75% concentration of old coconut water with 5 different treatment levels based on a completely randomized design method with 8 replications. Observations and data collection included plant height, number of leaves, number of bulbs, bulb diameter, and wet weight of bulbs. The data obtained were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Least Significant Difference (LSD) with the help of SPSS software. The results of the ANOVA and LSD tests showed that soaking shallot bulbs in old coconut water had a significant effect on the number of bulbs (p value = 0.02 <0.05) with P2 = 10.13 and bulb weight (p value = 0.02 <0.05) with P2 = 8.10 g. The results of the analysis of plant height, number of leaves, and bulb diameter had no effect. Soaking shallot bulbs in old coconut water for 4 hours was quite optimal in increasing the number of bulbs and wet weight of bulbs compared to other treatments. Soaking the bulbs for 4 hours was able to increase the number of bulbs by 131% and the weight of bulbs by 169% so that these findings can be applied by shallot farmers in increasing bulb yields. The success rate of this study was greatly influenced by factors and constraints such as high humidity and low sunlight intensity, which can affect bulb development
