Abstract

Biopori (LRB) merupakan salah satu solusi konservasi air dan pengelolaan limbah organik yang sederhana namun efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh dimensi lubang (diameter dan kedalaman) serta jenis limbah organik terhadap laju infiltrasi pada sistem LRB. Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental di Perumahan Bougenville Lestari, Kota Jambi, dengan desain faktorial 2×3 yang melibatkan dua variasi dimensi lubang (10×80 cm dan 15×100 cm) dan tiga jenis limbah organik (daun kering, limbah dapur, dan limbah campuran). Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi lubang 15 cm × 100 cm dengan limbah organik campuran menghasilkan laju infiltrasi tertinggi sebesar 9,4 cm/jam. Sementara itu, kombinasi 10 cm × 80 cm dengan daun kering menghasilkan laju infiltrasi terendah yaitu 4,2 cm/jam. Terdapat pengaruh signifikan baik dari dimensi lubang maupun jenis limbah terhadap peningkatan laju infiltrasi, serta interaksi antara keduanya. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa desain LRB yang tepat dapat menjadi strategi konservasi air yang efektif dan ramah lingkungan di kawasan permukiman tropis

Abstract

This study discusses the development of road infrastructure and irrigation systems during the Dutch colonial period in Kerinci as part of technical, economic, and spatial management strategies. This study employs a qualitative approach with methods based on digital archives, colonial photographs, historical maps, and academic secondary sources. The data were analyzed through visual interpretation, gravitational hydrology analysis, and tracing the historical context of the development. The results show that the irrigation and road systems built by the colonists were designed using simple yet effective civil engineering principles, such as utilizing natural elevation, reinforcing soil with local materials, and integrating drainage and transportation functions. This infrastructure not only served as a logistics distribution and agricultural irrigation but also as an instrument of territorial control and landscape transformation. This research makes a new contribution by interpreting colonial infrastructure as environmental engineering works that were adaptive to the physical conditions of Kerinci. Thus, this study enriches our understanding of colonial engineering heritage and its relevance to conservation, historical reconstruction of space, and environmental sustainability studies in tropical mountainous regions.
