Abstract

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM2) is a chronic disease that requires high compliance in treatment to prevent complications. However, many DM2 patients are not compliant in undergoing drug therapy, which can hinder the effectiveness of treatment. Various factors have been identified as determinants of patient compliance, including demographic factors, knowledge, social support, and technology utilization. This study aims to analyze factors that influence medication adherence in DM2 patients based on a systematic review of several studies that have been conducted. The method used in writing this article is a literature review study with a systematic review method. The articles reviewed were obtained through searches on Google Scholar, Pubmed, Proquest, and ScienceDirect in the period 2015-2025 with the search keywords being Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Medication Compliance, Compliance Factors, Medication Supervisors . By using PRISMA, from 10,697 articles found, 10 journal articles were obtained to be reviewed. Based on the analysis of several studies, factors that have a significant influence on patient compliance in taking medication are the level of knowledge (p = 0.002), family support (p = 0.000; PR = 8.17 ) , and support from health workers (p = 0.000; PR = 6.10). Social Marketing, Frailty Syndrome and Age were also found to have a relationship with DM medication compliance. In addition, the use of technology such as medication reminder applications (PMO) has been shown to help improve patient compliance in undergoing DM2 therapy. Compliance of DM2 patients in undergoing drug therapy is influenced by various factors, including level of knowledge, social support, social marketing, age , frailty syndrome, and use of technology. Therefore, strategies to improve compliance must involve an educational approach, strengthening the role of families and health workers, and utilizing digital-based technology to increase the effectiveness of DM2 therapy.

Abstract

Stunting remains a critical public health challenge requiring community-based interventions that strengthen maternal knowledge and nutritional practices. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the DASHAT BINTANG Program in improving mothers’ knowledge regarding stunting prevention in Sedayu Village. An empirical pre-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design was conducted involving 10 mothers of toddlers selected through total sampling. Data were collected using structured knowledge assessments before and after an intervention consisting of nutritional education, child growth monitoring guidance, balanced feeding practices based on the Isi Piringku guideline, and a local food processing demonstration. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The results showed an increase in the mean knowledge score from 96 to 116 after the intervention, with a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p = 0.017). The program also improved mothers’ understanding and practical awareness regarding the utilization of local food for toddler nutrition. The DASHAT BINTANG Program represents an effective community-based strategy for strengthening maternal capacity in supporting stunting prevention through integrated education and practical empowerment.

Abstract

The COVID-19 vaccine is a crucial effort to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19. To achieve optimal, effective, and efficient results in community program implementation, monitoring and evaluation are essential. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the implementation of COVID-19 vaccination in Semarang. So, it was known that service quality perception, service satisfaction, and willingness to recommend vaccination to others. This study is an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design in 2022. The total number of respondents was 512 people. Data collection was carried out directly by visiting respondents who had received COVID-19 vaccinations at public health centers and vaccination centers. The data obtained is then processed and analyzed with the final model using Binary Logistic Regression. Respondents with basic education (4.67 ± 0.449) and those using the collective registration mechanism (4.51 ± 0.495) showed a positive correlation with perceived service quality. Of the 9 procedural suitability items, 4 received higher satisfaction scores: staff asking about regular medication use (4.41 ± 0.612), confirmed COVID-19 history (4.42 ± 0.598), close contact history (4.42 ± 0.609), and post-vaccination observation for side effects (4.43 ± 0.608), all with p-value < 0.05. Overall, respondents were satisfied with the service quality, with 26.5% willing to recommend vaccination to others.
