Abstract

Project-based learning is active learning that can encourage students to think more critically and creatively. The project-based learning process at SMK N 1 Alian Kebumen has been implemented by involving class X, XI and XII students to directly participate in teaching factory workshops to handle consumers. Students' filling out the tracer study form has experienced a significant increase of 100% after the mentoring process and the number of partner industries carrying out teaching industry activities has also increased by 100%.

Abstract

Sebagian besar warga RT. 08 RW. X Kelurahan Kembangarum Kecamatan Semarang Barat Kota Semarang bermata pencaharian diluar rumah, mayoritas warga bekerja sebagai karyawan swasta dan pekerja buruh. Saat kondisi wilayah Semarang diberlakukannya PPKM (Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat). Terutama di wilayah Semarang Barat termasuk zona merah, untuk mencegah semakin luasnya penyebaran maka wilayah tersebut di isolasi sehingga kondisi menjadi perhatian penuh bagi kelurahan setempat. Warga dihimbau untuk tidak banyak melakukan aktifitas diluar rumah. Dengan adanya pembatasan kegiatan diluar rumah maka kebutuhan pokokpun sangat terbatas pula untuk dapat terpenuhi. Hasil diskusi dengan warga, menemukan solusi kegiatan apa yang perlu dilakukan agar pada saat diberlakukannya PPKM warga tidak hanya berdiam diri dirumah. Solusi yang dihasilkan adalah PPKM versi warga RT. 08 yaitu Pengen Panen Kita Menanam. Kami tim pengabdian masyarakat melakukan pendampingan pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan sebagai solusi lumbung pangan bagi keluarga dengan bertanam sayuran, selain sayuran kami juga membudidayakan jahe merah, mengingat manfaat jahe merah yang sangat bagus bagi kesehatan sebagai penangkal covid-19 dan sebagai penguat imun dan karena harga jahe merah yang sangat mahal dan tidak terjangkau warga. Adapun edukasinya adalah menciptakan inovasi pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan di rumah masing-masing dengan sistem Vertikal Garden dan budidaya jahe merah menggunakan polybag/karung. Optimalisasi ini difokuskan pada edukasi tentang vertical garden, sehingga warga yang hanya mempunyai lahan sempit masih bisa menciptakan lumbung hidup sendiri dirumah. Edukasi meliputi pemilihan jenis tanaman yang akan ditanam dengan memperhatikan kebutuhan sinar matahari dan umur panen yang pendek. Kesimpulan warga semakin paham bahwa dengan pengoptimalkan lahan pekarangan dengan system vertical garden sangat menghemat lahan dengan hasil memuaskan. Warga sangat senang dengan hasilnya karena dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pangan sehari-hari. Selain bisa panen dilahan pekarangan sendiri, hasilnya juga organic, menyehatkan dan bergizi. Dengan berbudidaya jahe merah warga dapat menyediakan rempah secara mandiri untuk menjaga stamina dan sebagai penangkal covid-19. Pemahaman tentang pengoptimalah lahan pekarangan dan berbudidaya jahe merah, warga menjadi sadar bahwa lahan sempit bukan menjadi halangan warga untuk betah beraktifitas dirumah. Slogan PPKM (Pengen Panen Kita Menanam) bagi warga sangatlah tepat sekali.  Kata kunci: vertical garden, budidaya, jahe merah

Abstract

3D printer technology offers the capability to print 3D objects with nearly perfect accuracy, making it a crucial tool in the industry for rapid prototyping. This study employs an experimental approach to design a Cartesian 3D Printer with a printing area of X-axis 150 mm, Y-axis 150 mm, and Z-axis 200 mm, and subsequently compares the printing accuracy with the Anycubic Mega Zero 3D printer, which has a printing area of X-axis 220 mm, Y-axis 220 mm, and Z-axis 250 mm. Both machines underwent testing by printing block specimens 10 times each. The printing results revealed several specimens that did not meet the specified tolerance limits. In the Cartesian 3D Printer, three dimensional measurements exceeded tolerance levels in specimens 7 and 8, specifically in length, width, and height dimensions. Meanwhile, in the Anycubic Mega Zero 3D Printer, five measurements exceeded tolerance limits in specimens 6, 8, and 9, with one width dimension and two length and height dimensions. From these findings, it can be concluded that the Cartesian 3D Printer demonstrates higher accuracy compared to the Anycubic Mega Zero 3D Printer.

Abstract

Audio equipment is an essential facility in educational institutions, including at Fachrudin Orphanage in Semarang, where it supports daily activities such as worship, learning, guidance, and social events. However, improper installation and operation have led to suboptimal audio output and equipment damage, such as a horn speaker failure caused by overpowering and incorrect cable connections. This Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to repair damaged audio equipment, improve installation, and educate users on proper operation. The methods included field surveys, damage identification, repair of equipment and wiring, and user training. The results showed that correcting the installation and providing technical education significantly improved sound quality and helped prevent further damage.

Abstract

Technological advancements, including 3D printing, enable the creation of prototypes from digital designs using 3D printers. A popular method is Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) with thermoplastic materials such as Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), valued for its quality and affordability. In 3D printing, nozzle temperature and infill type influence the mechanical properties of printed objects. This study aims to determine the tensile strength of ABS with variations in nozzle temperature and infill type. Tensile test results show that a 230°C nozzle temperature produces higher yield strength for most infill types compared to 240°C. The 240°C setting tends to increase maximum tensile strength for grid and concentric infills, but not for gyroid and lines. The concentric infill type exhibited the highest elongation at both temperatures, indicating greater ductility compared to other infill types. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for optimizing printing parameters.

Abstract

Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) is one of the developments of automatically operated machining technology that can support the need for the demand for a product that has a complex shape, high accuracy and can work on objects that cannot be done with conventional machinery. CNC Milling in the industry still has an expensive price, both the price of the hardware and software used to operate the CNC Milling machine. Therefore, CNC milling machines are only used in large industries while the middle and lower industries still use CNC milling machines. This makes medium-sized industries less competitive with large industries in production results, both in terms of speed efficiency and accuracy. then research was carried out in the form of CNC design and design that uses an ESP32 wifi-based Offline Controller as an application that supports the CNC machine work process. This research is an experiential review of comparing the accuracy of CNC milling machines with SMC controllers and CNC milling machines with ESP 32 wifi controllers. From the results of the tests carried out as many as 10 times the milling machining process using CNC with SMC control obtained three values that exceeded the tolerance limit, namely one each on the dimensions of length, width and height or depth. While the results of the milling process using a CNC milling machine with ESP32 wifi control obtained six values that exceeded the tolerance limit, namely two each on the dimensions of length, width and height or depth. So it can be concluded that CNC with SMC control is more accurate because the percentage of failures is less compared to CNC with ESP32 wifi control
