Abstract

Abstract - Health Safety and Environment (HSE) in the development will be more accentuate on the prevention of occupational accidents and occupational diseases by identifying the potential to cause accidents and occupational diseases as well as anticipatory measures in case of accidents and occupational diseases. The working environment is directly in contact with toxic materials would be very harmful to the human body when exposed continuously. An environment or factory containing toxic gases as an example of CO, SO or LPG gas in certain concentrations can cause eye irritation or shortness of breath. Therefore we need an early warning system that can measure the concentration of these gases and may give a warning to workers associated with the concentration of the gas to the workers. The early warning system was made using three gas sensors, three heat sensors, LEDs and buzzer. Recitation and processing of the sensor is processed by a 16 bit microcontroller which will condition the room. In making such a system is used programmable fuzzy algorithms previously simulated with MATLAB, C Programming used as logic programming refers to the simulation results, miniature rooms created with three main space for workers in a hallway and an emergency exit. The results of such a system is in a room when the detected gas concentration exceeds the threshold, the system will activate the buzzer and will activated LED as the safest evacuation route directions. Abstract

Community service activities of science and technology program for Plastic Waste Processing Society isimplemented as a form of concern for environmental sustainability. Given the plastic waste is waste that takes time todecompose 50-100 years. On the other hand the potential of plastic waste in Pedurungan Sub-district of Semarang is verylarge. If plastic waste can be processed and managed optimally it will greatly reduce the amount of plastic waste in thearea, besides also can increase people's income. This activity was held in Muktiharjo Kidul Village, PedurunganSubdistrict, Semarang. Participants of 30 people who are members of KSM Mandiri Santoso Jaya and KSM Tri AsihJaya. Implementation in the form of (1) Socialization of Ibm's program of activity; (2) Manufacture of plastic garbagedisposal machines; (3) Training of the use of plastic counter machine; and (4) Assistance for consultation. The methodsused from socialization to mentoring are lectures, frequently asked questions, and practices. IbM activities are getting agood response marked by the antuasiasme of the participants in following every stage of the activity. The result of thisdedication activity is the reduction of plastic waste amount by recycle effort, increasing the family income throughincreasing the economic value of plastic waste, increasing the quality of activity in the garbage bank

Abstract

Alat peraga mesin pendingin termasuk dalam klasifikasi media realita, karena alat peraga ini menggunakan komponen-komponen yang berasal dari alat pendingin (refrigerant) yang dirangkai menjadi alat peraga. Alat peraga memegang peranan penting sebagai alat bantu untuk menciptakan proses belajar mengajar yang efektif. Penggunaan alat peraga sebagai media pembelajaran praktikum diharapkan dapat membuat mahasiswa merasa tertarik dalam proses pembelajaran dan dapat memahami materi dengan baik. sebab mahasiswa akan melihat secara langsung komponen, cara kerja serta perubahan suhu dan tekanan pada tiap bagian refrigerant tanpa perlu membayangkan atau memperkirakan bagaimana bentuk, cara kerja, serta perubahan suhu dan tekanananya. Pada penelitian ini juga dilakukan pengambilan data tekanan dan suhu di beberapa titik uji, seperti evaporator, pipa besar, pipa kecil, dan kondensor dengan suhu pengaturan 16°C, 21°C, dan 26°C. Hasil penelitian dan pengujian menunjukkan bahwa dari ketiga percobaan yang dilakukan yaitu pada suhu pengaturan 16°C, 21°C, dan 26°C, rata-rata suhu tertinggi terjadi pada kondensor, yang ke-2 adalah suhu pada pipa besar, yang ke-3 terjadi pada evaporator, dan yang terakhir suhu pada pipa kecil. Sedangkan rata-rata tekanan tertinggi terjadi pada pipa kecil dan terendah terjadi pada pipa besar.

Abstract

The thermoacoustic engine can be a device to convert waste heat energy in the engine car become useful energy such as for charging battery in car or Air conditioner of the car. This work can be done by experimentally and numerically. There are some parameters that have an impact on the performance of the engine. They are geometry of the engines, working fluid, and mean pressure. The performance of the engine depends on the efficiency and the heating temperature. In the car, waste heat energy is not high enough. Therefore, we need to utilize the low heating temperature to be converted into useful energy. This study contributes to numerically the effect of mean pressure and loop’s radius of the regenerator on the onset temperature and the efficiency of traveling wave thermoacoustic engines. The application that is used to solve numerical problems is fortran95. There are two codings that are used in fortran95. They are stability limits and efficiency codes. The lowest onset temperature that achieved is 153˚C with efficiency up to 38.1% that can be reached when the mean pressure is 4.0 MPa and the loop's radius is 5 cm. This result indicated that we can use low heating temperatures from waste heat of engine car to turn on electronics equipment inside the car.

Abstract

Tribology is used for testing wear and tear materials to know the results of wear and friction. Tribology consists of pins in the shape of a ball made of certain materials needed according to our needs, and discs can also be adjusted according to the types of materials. This research aims to know the results of the comparison between the wear of cast iron and aluminum AI O₃. This study analyzes the aluminum material for the ± 13th rotation, the friction force that occurs in this condition is 0.700 gram. It decreases to 0.470 gram in this condition, and the frictional force is in a steady state. This study analyzes the Cast Iron material will be stable after passing through the 10th round. The frictional force that occurs in this condition is 0.550 grams and then decreases to 0.245 grams. The frictional force is in a steady-state condition.

Abstract

Tribometer is a tool to determine the occurrence of surface contact wear. The purpose of this research is to design a pin-on-disc tribometer. The design stage involves making a mechanical design, a series of sensors, and designing a complete tool. Tribometer input and output electrical sensor circuit. The software used to program the tribometer is Arduino and uses C++ programming. The pin on disc test stages includes weighing the disc and load variations and setting the disc rotation as desired.

Abstract

Pin-on-disc merupakan salah satu dari Tribotester yang nantinya digunakan sebagai alat uji suatu materi untuk mengetahui prediksi dan kejutan. Pin-on-disc terdiri dari pin yang berupa bola yang terbuat dari material tertentu dan disc yang juga dapat divariasikan jenis materialnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi kondisi pelumasan pada bahan keausan aluminium. Pin diuji dengan menggunakan pelumas SAE 40 dan SAE 140. Faktor keausan terbesar dalam penelitian yang telah dilakukan, terjadi pada pengujian dengan menggunakan pelumas SAE 40 sebesar 0,00121 m 3 /Nm diikuti dengan pengujian menggunakan pelumas SAE 140 sebesar 0,00131 m 3 /NmKata kunci : Pin-on-disc , variasi pelumasan, keausan alumunium.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan PkM ini agar memberikan keberadaan UMKM mampu mendongkrak perekonomian seiring berkembangnya era persaingan bebas, seperti WTO, AFTA, APEC, dan AEC, dan agar selalu siap menghadapi krisis ekonomi global. Berkaitan dengan era persaingan tersebut, maka UMKM dituntut untuk selalu meningkatkan daya saingnya agar dapat terus berjalan dan berkembang. Metode kegiatan Pk Mini menggunakan metode sosialisasi. Salah satunya adalah dengan menerapkan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi sebagai penunjang kegiatan usahanya. Digital marketing adalah sebuah produk teknologi informasi dimana berupa kegiatan mempromosikan produk dan atau jasa melalui media internet. Kementrian Koperasi dan Usaha Kecil Menengah menyatakan bahwa dari 58 juta UMKM baru 3.78 juta saja atau sekitar 8% yang sudah memanfaatkan digital marketing dalam menunjang kegiatan bisnisnya sedangkan fakta menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan digital marketing untuk pemasaran produk dan jasa terbukti mampu meningkatkan penghasilan UMKM hingga sampai 26% (bisnis.com)

Abstract

This service is motivated by the right education pattern in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, which is to use the STEAM method to make students think critically, be able to solve problems, adapt easily, and be communicative. Students can also learn to be leaders, creators, and entrepreneurs. The branch of the Department of Education and Culture Region XII has the responsibility to follow up on policies regarding curriculum implementation with STEAM-based learning, but is constrained by the lack of understanding and skills of teachers in STEAM-oriented learning and assessment. The methods used in the service are seminars, online training and mentoring as well as hybrid learning training and mentoring. The results of the service show that teachers have an understanding of policies and paradigms of STEAM-based science learning, most teachers have the ability to design STEAM-based science learning, and teachers are also able to develop assessment instruments for STEAM-based science learning.
