Abstract

Kukup Beach is one of the beaches in Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta whose management is still in the developing stage. However, the demand for marine tourism is quite busy with the lack of studies and research on the potential and analysis of management recommendations for Kukup Beach. The aim of the research is to analyze tourism demand for managing marine ecotourism at Kukup Beach. The research was conducted in May 2023 at Kukup Beach using a structured questionnaire data collection method and the number of respondents was 103 people. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression statistics and descriptive analysis of ecotourism development. The results obtained are that the characteristics of Kukup beach tourists form a pattern with dominant tourists of productive age (18-30 years), female with a relatively high level of education. Tourist visits are influenced by travel cost, gender, income, education, age, and distance. The tourism demand function is obtained as follows y = 6.223-5.20-07c-0.767g+1.31-06i-0.508e-0.060a-0.783d. Management of Kukup Beach tourism using Ecotourism principles pays attention to visit management considering the characteristics of young tourists, it applies travel rules in accordance with conservation principles. In this way, Kukup Beach ecotourism management can develop and be sustainable.

Abstract

Indonesia is exporting less prawns and tuna to the United States in 2021–2023. An analytical investigation on the competitiveness of Indonesian prawn and tuna products supplied to destination nations like the USA is required in light of these facts. The objective of this study is to examine the growth of Indonesian prawn and tuna exports to the US as well as their competitiveness in this market. This study examines Indonesian prawn and tuna commodities' export competitiveness in the US market from 2012 to 2022. Pustaka, UN Comtrade, Trademap, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia (KKP RI) are the sources of the data. The Constant Market Share (CMS) and Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) approaches are the analytical techniques employed in this study. The results show that the trend of leading export commodities, one of which is still dominated by shrimp. Shrimp is the main commodity with export volume increasing significantly from 197.4 million (kg) in 2018 to 250.7 million (kg) in 2021 but experiencing a decline in 2022. The trade value of American shrimp, shrimp consists of large shrimp cold air (0306.16) and tiger prawns (0306.17). The trade value of American tuna, tuna consists of fresh tuna, frozen tuna and tuna fillet. Fresh tuna consists of yellowfin tuna (0302.32) and 0302.34 bigeye tuna. Frozen tuna consists of longfin tuna/albacore (0303.41), yellowfin tuna (0303.42), skipjack tuna (0303.43) and southern bluefin tuna (0303.46); Tuna fillet consists of skipjack tuna (0304.87). The competitiveness of tuna and shrimp in the United States has strong competitiveness.

Abstract

Girirejo Village is one of the tourismvillage with category developing according to data from the Yogyakarta Special Region Bappeda. Even though its management is still not optimal and can even be said to be unsustainable, Girirejo Village has great potential, especially religious tourism and cultural tourism. Two of the potentials are the tombs of the Imogiri Kings and the craft of keris wrangka which has been recognized by the World Keris Encyclopedia. Even though there is demand for tourism, religious and cultural tourism activities are still of special interest. The aim of this community accompaniment is to provide assistance to managers and the community in the Girirejo tourist village regarding the development of the tourist village through recommendations and a series of hospitality-related training for the community in subsequent activities so that the Girirejo tourist village can be sustainable. Community accompaniment is carried out through Sharing Sessions, discussions and problem solving as well as solutions for sustainable development of tourism village. The result of this community accompanimet is the recommendations for tour packages to be further used as tourism promotion through digital media. Furthermore, trainings related to homestays, hospitality and language are scheduled as a series of assistance in managing the Girirejo tourism village so that its implementation can be sustainable and move up to the advanced or independent tourism village category. Abstract

Krambilsawit sub-district is one of the areas in the extreme poor category in DI Yogyakarta. However, Krambilsawit has interesting natural potential. The existence of a unique traditional dance culture is found in this place, called Thoklik Dance. However, its condition has been eroded by time and is starting to fade. This community service aims to provide outreach, training and assistance as well as the application of appropriate technology for villages to optimize their potential, one of which is to preserve the local art of Thoklik Dance. The activity will be held on Sunday, November 5 2023 in Dukuh Nyemuh, Krambilsawit Village. There were 19 participants who were members of Karang Taruna Sapto Manunggal. Activities consist of providing assistance with art equipment, facilitating training, mentoring and applying appropriate technology on social media to promote village potential. The results show that the Thoklik Dance is starting to be revived through practice and the determination of players. The community and participants were enthusiastic to participate in this activity. Furthermore, the art of Thoklik Dance will be displayed on several agendas. Apart from that, the Thoklik Dance will be used as a cultural tourism attraction to support sustainable tourism development in Krambilsawit Village.
