Abstract

Using the Narrative Literature Review (NLR) method, this study aims to evaluate the suitability of the application of the Scrum framework in software development with predetermined rules. The research focuses on Scrum artifacts, namely Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, and Product Increment. The research data was obtained from journals in Google Scholar that are relevant to the implementation of Agile Scrum in software development. The results of this research are expected to provide a better understanding of the criteria and rules that must be met in order for a framework to be considered a Scrum framework. This research will specifically examine the suitability of artifacts in implementation with applicable Scrum rules. Based on a review of 10 literature journals, the main focus is on artifacts. Most implementations of the Product Backlog do not include tasks in the backlog and are not sorted by highest priority to lowest. In the Sprint Backlog the status of the list of tasks in progress is not displayed in the backlog sprint, there is no ownership of the task, and in the Product Increment, tasks that have been completed at the end of the sprint and unfinished tasks that will be continued in the next sprint cannot be displayed. Sprint goals are also not displayed on the Sprint Backlog, so in the end it is not possible to measure the agility of Agile Scrum.

Abstract

Project management in the field of information technology (IT) requires an appropriate methodological strategy to ensure successful implementation. Two commonly applied approaches are the Waterfall method and Agile Scrum. This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the fundamental differences, advantages, and limitations of these two methodologies within the context of IT project management. Based on a review of recent literature, this study emphasizes that the choice of methodology should be aligned with the project's characteristics, available resources, and the potential variability of user requirements. Agile Scrum is considered more responsive to changing conditions, while Waterfall is better suited for projects with stable and well-defined requirements. The findings of this study aim to provide strategic insights for project managers in selecting the most appropriate implementation approach.

Abstract

Cooperatives in Indonesia play a strategic role in national economic development, particularly in promoting rural economic growth and job creation. However, many cooperatives still face serious challenges in terms of governance, transparency, and financial accountability. Based on 2024 data, around 40% of the 131,617 cooperatives in Indonesia are inactive or face administrative and financial problems. These issues highlight the importance of implementing financial reporting systems that comply with applicable accounting standards. Since the issuance of the Regulation of the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs No. 2 of 2024, all cooperatives are required to prepare financial statements based on the Financial Accounting Standards for Private Entities (SAK EP) starting January 1, 2025. This study aims to design a web-based Accounting Information System (AIS) prototype to support the implementation of SAK EP at Koperasi Syariah Nurul Amal Bandung. The research employs the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach using the Waterfall model, consisting of the stages of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The results of this study produce a web-based AIS prototype consisting of transaction, general journal, ledger, and financial report modules in accordance with the SAK EP format. The implementation of this prototype is expected to improve the efficiency, transparency, and financial accountability of cooperatives, thereby supporting good governance in line with sharia principles and the latest accounting standards.

Abstract

Objective: To develop a mobile-friendly e-learning system for managing student assignments that integrates with a WhatsApp Gateway and Google Drive, aiming to translate digital transformation in higher education into simple, rapid, and integrated assignment management processes. Methods: This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which includes needs analysis, architectural design, prototype development, limited implementation, and evaluation of usability and functionality. The proposed system features assignment creation, automatic WhatsApp reminders, Google Drive file integration, submission status tracking, and mobile-first dashboards. The evaluation is conducted through expert validation, black-box testing, System Usability Scale (SUS) measurement, and Likert-based user perception questionnaires. Results: The implementation of the system is expected to yield improved on-time assignment submissions, a reduction in late submissions, a more efficient workflow for lecturers, and the establishment of an economical yet reliable small-scale personal Learning Management System (LMS) model. Conclusion: This research provides significant practical contributions for educational institutions seeking a lightweight, compliant, and readily adoptable digital assignment management system that enhances learning flexibility and academic engagement.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the protection of children's personal data in artificial intelligence (AI)-based educational platforms in Indonesia through a normative juridical approach using a statutory approach, a conceptual approach, and a comparative approach to GDPR-K, COPPA, and the AI Act. The research focuses on legal regulations related to children's data, the implementation of protection by AI-based EdTech platforms, the risk of child data misuse, and the adequacy and effectiveness of national regulations. The results of the study indicate that although Indonesia has a Personal Data Protection Law as the main legal framework, the regulation does not yet provide specific protection for children's data, especially regarding automatic profiling, verification of parental consent, algorithmic audits, and restrictions on data use for commercial purposes. Comparison with international standards also shows that Indonesian regulations are still general and do not meet the principle of preventive protection that is characteristic of global regulations. This study concludes the need to develop derivative regulations related to children's data, technical guidelines for data processing by AI, and the establishment of an effective oversight mechanism to minimize the risk of data misuse and ensure the fulfillment of the principle of the best interest of the child in the digital education ecosystem.
