Abstract

Thermal comfort is one of the fundamental aspects of indoor environmental quality and it is closely related to occupant satisfaction and energy use in buildings. The purpose of this research was to analyze the thermal conditions of the student affairs rooms (Interest & Talent Room and Student Meeting room) at second floor and the academic and education rooms (Academic Meeting room, Academic Registration room, and Head of Education and Evaluation room) at seventh floor of Hasanuddin University rectorate building. This study used a quantitative method using a survey where the researcher asked several respondents about the level of thermal comfort of the room occupants when the volume of air conditioner (AC) is increased gradually every day at 18o C, 22o C, and 27o C. In addition, measurements were conducted using HOBO from 08.00 – 17.00 to obtain data in the form of air temperature, humidity, and air velocity in the room. At the same time, respondents were asked to fill out a questionnaire asking the level of comfort felt by the room occupants at that time. The results showed that the average air temperature at 18o C is 24.62o C, humidity is 63.108% and air velocity is 0.144 m/s. At a temperature of 22o C, the average air temperature is 24.78o C, humidity is 60.684%, and the air velocity is 0.142 m/s. At a temperature of 27o C, the average air temperature is 25.97o C, humidity is 64.022%, and the air velocity is 0.127 m/s. The results showed that the respondents felt ‚cold‘ when the volume was at 18o C, they felt 'comfortable' when the volume was at 22o C, and they felt ‚neutral‘ when the volume was at 27o C. In the end, temperatures of 22o C and 27o C can be used as a reference in the use of air conditioning temperatures in the room.

Abstract

Kenyamanan termal merupakan salah satu sasaran karya arsitektur. Kenyamanan termal sangat dibutuhkan tubuh agar manusia dapat beraktifitas dengan baik entah di rumah, sekolah maupun kantor. Ruang kerja yang nyaman dapat menunjang suasana dalam bekerja menjadi optimal. Standar kenyamanan termal menurut Lippsmeier yaitu 20,5 oC – 22,8 oC (Sejuk nyaman), 22,8 oC – 25,8 oC (Nyaman optimal) dan 25,8 oC – 27,1 oC (Hangat nyaman). Umumnya, penggunaan AC (Air Conditioning) dapat membuat ruangan menjadi lebih kedap udara. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengukur ruangan dalam kondisi eksisting/termal alami dan saat ruangan menggunakan AC (Air Conditioning). Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu Hobo Suhu/RH logger untuk mengukur suhu udara (oC), kelembaban (%) dan kecepatan aliran udara (m/s) mulai pukul 08.00 – 17.00 WITA. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu saat menggunakan AC, ruangan memiliki kondisi udara yang memenuhi kategori standar kenyamanan termal dibanding saat tidak menggunakan AC. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan AC pada ruangan menjadi solusi yang baik untuk membantu menciptakan ruangan agar bisa lebih sejuk dan nyaman digunakan pengguna ruang dalam hal bekerja.

Abstract

Kebisingan merupakan suatu masalah yang berdampak langsung dan mengganggu kegiatan manusia sehari-hari bahkan mengancam tingkat kenyamanan dan kesehatan manusia. Penggunaan material dan volume ruang yang tidak tepat pada rumah tinggal dapat mempengaruhi tingkat dengung sehinggan menimbulkan cacat akustik. Serta Suara yang dihasilkan oleh spiker dari TV yang dampaknya terhadap ruangan lain yang dapat menimbulkan kebisingan. Pencemaran suara tersebut cukup berpengaruh bagi kualitas kenyamanan terutama dibagian suasana. Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut untuk menjaga kenyamanan, maka diperlukan usaha usaha untuk mengurangi dampak negatif tersebut berupa pengendalian kebisingan. Untuk itu dalam proses perencanaan dan desain pada bangunan dibutuhkan suatu rekayasa material akustik ruang yang tepat pada rumah tinggal yang dapat mereduksi kebisingan hingga memenuhi standar kenyamanan akustik secara arsitektural. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan melakukan simulasi untuk mengetahui tingkat akustik dalam ruangan pada rumah tinggal. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode simulasi. Bangunan yang akan di simulasi adalah rumah tinggal. Alat yang digunakan dalam simulasi ini berupa komputer, dalam hal ini pengujian menganalisis akustik dalam desain arsitektur menggunakan Autodesk Ecotect Analysis. Abstract

Bangunan Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) memiliki peran penting dalam menyediakan layanan air bersih. Evaluasi Purna Huni (EPH) menjadi pendekatan yang relevan untuk mengidentifikasi masalah-masalah yang timbul dan mengevaluasi kinerja bangunan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan penghuni serta dampaknya terhadap lingkungan sekitar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan evaluasi purna huni pada bangunan Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum di Kecamatan Maritengngae, dengan fokus pada aspek lingkungan dan kesejahteraan penghuni. Metode kuantitatif deskriptif digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data melalui survei dan observasi langsung. Pertama, mengamati kondisi lingkungan bangunan Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) terkait aspek lingkungan dan kesejahteraan penghuni. Kedua, mengukur aspek lingkungan dan kesejahteraan penghuni pada bangunan Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM). Ketiga, melalui evaluasi purna huni, data dianalisis untuk memahami dampak lingkungan dan kesejahteraan penghuni serta memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan yang diperlukan. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang kondisi bangunan PDAM serta memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan yang diperlukan untuk meningkatkan lingkungan dan kesejahteraan penghuni. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan yang lebih baik tentang Evaluasi Purna Huni (EPH), terkhusus kondisi bangunan PDAM dan kontribusinya terhadap lingkungan terutama di Kecamatan Maritengngae.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the urban environmental conditions in Maritengngae District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency, focusing on land use, green open spaces, air quality, waste management, and supporting infrastructure. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. The results show that land use in Maritengngae District has undergone significant conversion, with a reduction in green open spaces due to the transformation of land into residential and commercial areas. This has led to a decline in environmental quality, including air quality, which is indicated to have deteriorated due to the increased number of motor vehicles and industrial activities. Additionally, waste management in the area faces challenges, with low community awareness in waste sorting and limited facilities for waste management based on the 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle) principle. However, there are positive efforts from the local government, such as the development of city parks and eco-friendly drainage systems, which are expected to improve environmental quality. This study suggests that government policies should be more integrated with community participation and adequate funding to create a sustainable urban environment in Maritengngae District.

Abstract

Pangkajene Central Market is one of the largest traditional markets in Sidenreng Rappang Regency, South Sulawesi, and plays a vital role in driving the local community’s economy. However, the market continues to face various challenges related to service quality and the adequacy of its physical infrastructure. Traditional markets are often associated with poor environmental conditions, suboptimal services, and a lack of supporting facilities. Issues such as disorganized spatial layout, limited parking accessibility, inefficient vendor zoning, and inadequate loading and unloading areas highlight the urgent need for market restructuring. While the Sidenreng Rappang Regency Government has shown commitment to improving public infrastructure, including traditional markets, a comprehensive plan for the revitalization of Pangkajene Central Market is still lacking. This study employs an analytical approach based on the variables outlined in the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) for traditional markets to identify current problems and provide an initial overview of the potential and needs for physical restructuring. The results of this research are expected to serve as a preliminary reference for planning a more decent, well-organized traditional market that effectively supports economic activities and user comfort.

Abstract

Urban architecture not only serves as a space for human activities but also represents the local identity that grows and develops over time. This research aims to identify and analyze the characteristics of urban architecture that reflect local values in Tanete Riaja District. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data was collected through field observations, visual documentation, and interviews with community leaders and relevant parties. The results show that architectural elements such as building forms, local materials, spatial layouts, and cultural symbols are closely connected to the history, traditions, and social life of the local community. The local identity in the urban architecture of Tanete Riaja is reflected in the continuity of cultural values that are preserved despite the process of modernization. This study is expected to contribute to the preservation of local identity in urban planning and development in the future.

Abstract

Public spaces such as city parks play an important role in supporting social activities and community interactions. Taman Kota Enrekang is one of the green open spaces that is frequently used by various groups for recreational, educational, and community activities. This study aims to examine the usage patterns of interactive spaces in Taman Kota Enrekang through a biophilic design approach, which integrates natural elements to enhance the comfort and well-being of users. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques including field observations, interviews, and documentation. The results show that specific zones in the park, such as open seating areas, community stages, and nature literacy spaces, are more frequently used for gathering, discussions, and arts and educational activities. Biophilic elements such as lush vegetation, natural lighting, and water features contribute to user comfort and increase the duration and intensity of social interactions. These findings can serve as a basis for designing and developing public spaces that are responsive to the social and ecological needs of the community.
