Abstract

Persalinan sangat penting dilakukan observasi HIS yaitu dengan melihat frekuensi dan durasi His sehingga proses persalinan kala I akan berlangsung dengan mulus, baik pada primi maupun multi (Astuti, 2013). Jika lama persalinan kala I berlangsung tidak normal maka masalah potensial dimungkinkan terjadi. Variabel independen Pijat oksitosin sedangkan variabel dependen frekuensi his dan durasi his.

Abstract

One of the complications experienced by postpartum mothers is the presence of perineal wounds which can cause more severe pain effects (Sumiaty, 2017). One of the non-pharmacological ways to reduce pain is to drink red ginger. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of drinking red ginger on reducing the intensity of perineal wound pain in postpartum women at BPM Permata Bunda Tuban. This research method is analytic experimental with a pre-experimental design (Static-group comparison design). The sample of this study was 44 postpartum mothers which were divided into 2 groups, namely the control and treatment groups, with a systematic random sampling technique. Data analysis used Sample t-Test (Independent sample t-Test). Based on the results of the study, it was obtained from 22 respondents (postpartum mothers) on the 5th day who were not given drinking red ginger, most of the respondents experienced moderate perineal wound pain as many as 13 (59.10%), while from 22 respondents (postpartum mothers) on the 5th day, most of those who were given red ginger had mild perineal wound pain as much as 12 (54.60%). The results of the analysis using the sample t-test test found that P of 0.000 is smaller than 0.05, then H1 was accepted that there was an effect of giving red ginger to decrease the intensity of perineal wound pain in postpartum mothers at BPM Permata Bunda Tuban

Abstract

Background: The Woolwich massage technique can help stimulate the hypothalamus to increase the hormones prolactin and oxytocin by providing a relaxing sensation. This happens because gentle touch and massage movements can stimulate the nervous system, which in turn can stimulate the release of relaxation hormones. This can help calm the mind and body as a whole so that it can help postpartum mothers to be able to provide exclusive breastfeeding. Exclusive breastfeeding can help build antibodies in babies so they are protected from various diseases such as diarrhea and pneumonia. Increasing breastfeeding rates internationally has the potential to potentially save the lives of more than 820,000 children under five and can slow the increase of 20,000 cases of breast cancer each year in women. Method: This extension activity applies an educational and preventive approach. By providing clear information about the Woolwich massage technique, previously given a questionnaire on postpartum mothers' knowledge of the Woolwich massage technique and evaluated after counseling. Results: Education on the Woolwich massage technique was successful in increasing postpartum mothers' understanding of the purpose, benefits, Wolwich massage technique and the timing of the Woolwich massage technique for postpartum mothers. The active participation of postpartum mothers shows a high level of involvement. conclusion, this activity not only provides knowledge, but also increases postpartum mothers' awareness of the relationship between the Woolwich massage technique and the flow of breast milk. Breast care has an important role in this matter, one of which is by carrying out Woolwich massage on postpartum mothers. This study aims to find out whether Woolwich massage therapy has an effect on the smoothness of breastfeeding in postpartum mothers at the Bulu Community Health Cente Tuban Regency. Method: The research was conducted in July 2024 at the Bulu Tuban Community Health Center. The methodology used is quasy experiment. The independent variable is Woolwich massage while the dependent variable is smooth breastfeeding. The sample size was 16 respondents using a simple random sampling technique. Data processing uses the Wilcoxon Signed Rank test with a significance level of ρ < α (0.05).Result: All postpartum mothers experienced that their breast milk was not flowing smoothly before Woolwich massage therapy was carried out, all postpartum mothers experienced smooth milk production after Woolwich massage therapy. After carrying out statistical tests, it was found that the ρ-value was 0.000, so the ρ-value <0.05 so that H₀ was rejected. This proves that there is an influence of Woolwich massage therapy on the smooth flow of breast milk in postpartum mothers at the Bulu Community Health Center Tuban Regency. Conclusion : The results of this study can provide input and information about the effect of Woolwich massage therapy on the smooth flow of breastfeeding in postpartum mothers so that health workers can optimize their provision of midwifery care to postpartum mothers

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of midwives in postpartum health monitoring and its impact on reducing the risk of postpartum complications. Postpartum complications, such as infections, bleeding, and mental health disorders, remain significant health challenges for mothers following childbirth. The study utilizes a quantitative survey method to measure the relationship between midwifery interventions and the occurrence of these complications. Data were collected from 260 postpartum mothers who received care from midwives, with a focus on the frequency of visits, types of services provided, and health outcomes. The findings suggest that regular postpartum monitoring by midwives significantly reduces the risk of complications, highlighting the importance of early detection, education, and ongoing support. This research contributes to understanding the effectiveness of midwifery care and provides recommendations for improving healthcare policies related to maternal health.
