Abstract

This service activity aims to provide an understanding of financial literacy (careful borrowing and saving) so that it is hoped that participants can avoid loan sharks. Apart from that, participants are given knowledge about making simple financial reports so that expenses do not exceed income. This service was carried out at the Women's Farmers Group (KWT) in Pagelaran Village, Pringsewu Regency. The service method used is material presentation and discussion. The results of this activity were that the participants generally understood how to choose the right borrowing and saving as well as calculating the size of the costs of borrowing, although there were some participants who had a little difficulty in reading and writing.

Abstract

Kemiskinan adalah masalah yang melanda seluruh dunia menghalangi kemajuan masyarakat. Ini adalah permasalahan yang rumit dan tidak pernah berakhir, yang telah lama dirasakan oleh penduduk negara berkembang termasuk Indonesia. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengilustrasikan dampak Indeks Pembangunan Manusia dan tingkat Pengangguran terhadap tingkat Kemiskinan di wilayah Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan data yang ada dengan metode kuantitatif pada rentang waktu 2012-2023. Data tersebut diperoleh melalui internet Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Jawa Timur. Regresi Linier Berganda merupakan metode penelitian yang digunakan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Indeks Pembangunan Manusia memiliki hubungan positif signifikan dengan kemiskinan, sedangkan tingkat pengangguran memiliki hubungan negatif dengan kemiskinan. Namun, secara bersamaan, faktor-faktor seperti IPM dan tingkat pengangguran memiliki dampak yang saling berhubungan terhadap tingkat kemiskinan.

Abstract

Economic growth is central to the economic life of all countries in the world, including countries in Asia that are trying to increase their economic growth by sending their workers abroad. Migrant workers or people who move to other countries to find work often send money back to their families and communities. The movement of funds from the country of employment back to the country of origin is known as remittances. Migration and remittances are crucial forces in reshaping the world economy, through the process of integration that increases the motivation of trade and financial inflows around the world with the movement of labor driving economic growth and social development. The results of the study indicate that remittances positively and significantly contribute to economic growth in the 10 highest remittance recipient countries in Asia. Likewise, the variables consumption and FDI and inflation  positive significant effect on economic growth in 10 Asian countries.
