Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a QR Code-based attendance application using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which is implemented at Bina Utama Kendal Vocational High School. The application was created to overcome the limitations of the manual attendance system currently in use, such as vulnerability to data loss, difficulties in maintaining accurate records, and inefficiency in attendance recapitulation. The RAD method was chosen because it emphasizes user involvement throughout the development process, ensuring that the resulting system meets user needs. The development stages included requirement planning, design, system development, and implementation. This web-based attendance application uses QR Code technology to record student attendance quickly, accurately, and in real time. Each student’s QR Code is scanned to mark their presence, which minimizes errors and prevents attendance fraud. In addition, the system includes features for managing student data, generating automatic attendance reports, and providing real-time monitoring for teachers and administrators.The system was tested using the Black Box method, which confirmed that all features function correctly and meet the requirements specified in the design phase. Furthermore, a user satisfaction survey conducted with 150 respondents (teachers, students, and staff) indicated a very high level of acceptance, with an average of 94.25% respondents strongly agreeing on the ease of use, accuracy, and benefits of this application. Overall, the study demonstrates that the QR Code-based attendance application significantly improves the efficiency, reliability, and accuracy of attendance management at Bina Utama Kendal Vocational High School.

Abstract

Lembaga Amil Zakat (LAZ) Udinus merupakan suatu lembaga yang berada di bawah organisasi Pusat Aktivitas Muslim (PAM) Udinus. LAZ mempunyai kegiatan yang sudah bertahun tahun dilaksanakan yaitu membina anak – anak asuh yang mana mereka mendapatkan bantuan untuk membayar sekolah setiap bulannya. Akan tetapi mereka harus mengikuti kegiatan yang wajib yang harus dilaksanakan yaitu mengikuti kajian setiap minggunya. Pada kegiatan tersebut mereka diberikan ilmu – ilmu yang berkaitan dengan ajaran Islam. Salah satunya adalah memberikan pendampingan dan pengarahan tentang adab menuntut ilmu dalam Islam. Hal ini dikarenakan semua anak – anak LAZ adalah peserta didik SD, SMP, SMA/K dan Pondok Pesantren. Namun untuk yang di Pondok Pesantren tidak dilakukan pendampingan. Dengan adanya pendampingan untuk anak SD, SMP, SMA/K ini, diharapkan mereka menjalankan adab menuntut ilmu yang sesuai dengan ajaran Islam. Selain harus sesuai dengan ajaran Islam, mereka juga diberikan pengertian tentang ilmu dan teknologi. Teknologi sangat berpengaruh terhadap ilmu yang dijalankan pada masa sekarang. Untuk itu mereka diberikan cara untuk menyikapi teknologi jaman sekarang dengan adab menuntut ilmu menurut ajaran Islam. Dengan pendampingan ini, diharapkan anak – anak Islam bisa menuntut ilmu menurut perkembangan jaman yang tidak menyimpang dengan ajaran Islam. Menuntut ilmu di sini harus didasari dengan rasa tanggung jawab yang bisa membentuk karakter positif bagi anak – anak LAZ.

Abstract

The Indonesian Sign Language System (SIBI) is a communication medium used by the deaf community in Indonesia. However, classifying SIBI alphabet images presents challenges due to visual similarities between signs for different letters and limited training data variation. This study aims to optimize SIBI alphabet image classification by applying data augmentation and fine-tuning to the MobileNetV2 model. The dataset consists of 7,582 SIBI alphabet images sourced from Kaggle, covering 24 classes (letters A through Y, excluding J and Z). The research process involved preprocessing, data augmentation, dataset splitting into training, validation, and testing sets, model development using MobileNetV2 transfer learning, and performance evaluation based on accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The results show that the model without augmentation achieved 96.75% accuracy, whereas the model with augmentation achieved 97.10% accuracy, accompanied by improvements in precision, recall, and F1-score. These results indicate that data augmentation enhances the model's generalization capabilities, resulting in more accurate and consistent classification. Thus, the combination of data augmentation and MobileNetV2 fine-tuning is effective for SIBI alphabet image classification. McNemar's test revealed a statistically significant difference in model performance following the application of data augmentation (p = 9.6517 × 10⁻¹²).
