Abstract

The purpose of this experiment was to study the growth and yield of pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) the giving of coconut shell biochar on peat land. This research was conducted from June to August 2022. This research was conducted in a plastic house located on Jl. Haka, Panarung Village, Pahandut District, Central Kalimantan. This study used Randomized Compete Design (RCD) of single factor that was coconut shell biochar consisting of 5 levels of treatment namely B0 (0 ton ha-1), B1 (4 ton ha-1), B2 (6 ton ha-1), B3 (8 ton ha-1), and B4 (10 ton ha-1). The results showed that the application of coconut shell biochar had a significant effect on the growth and yield of pakcoy plants on peat land. Application coconut shell biochar dose of B4 = 10 ton ha-1 (113.6 g. polybag-1) was the best treatment for the growth and yield of pakcoy plants on peat land with an average plant fresh weight of 91.92 g-1.

Abstract

The aim of the research was to determine the effect of applying cow urine liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of flowering cabbage plants (Brassica oleracea var. Botrytis L.) on inceptisol soil. The research was carried out in March 2023 – August 2023 in Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan Province.  The research used a Randomized Group Design (RAK) with 6 treatment levels of cow urine POC doses, namely: 0; 15; 30; 45; 60; and 75 ml L-1 water.  The results showed that administration of various doses of POC cow urine had a significant effect on the growth and yield of flowering cabbage in inceptisol soil. Giving cow urine POC at a dose of 75 ml L-1 of water is the best treatment for the growth and yield of flowering cabbage with an average crop weight of 379 g or 16 tons/ha

Abstract

This study aims to determine the critical period for cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) plant against weed compettition in spodosol soil. The research was carried out on Jalan Merdeka, Jekan Raya District, Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan Province. The research was carried out in April-July 2024. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with treatment G1: Weed Free 10 DAP, G2: Weed Free 20 DAP, G3: Weed Free 30 DAF, G4: Weed Free Forever, G5: Weed 10 DAP, G6: Weed 20 DAP, G7: Weed 30 DAP and G8: Weed Forever. The results showed that weeding time for cucumber plants had a significant effect on plant length, number of leaves, number of productive branches, fruit diameter, fruit length and number of fruit per plot. The most dominant weed found on the research land is chicken claw grass (Digitaria ciliaris) both early and late vegetation analysis. The critical period for cucumber plants (Cucumis sativus L.) due to competition with weeds in spodosol soil is 0-20 days after plant Keywords: Critical period, Cucumber plants, Weeds, Spodosol

Abstract

The purpose of this experiment were to find out the interaction growth and yield of leaf onion (Allium fistusolum) on the giving of chicken manure fertilizer and plant growth regulator on peat land. Tihs study used Completely Randomized design (CRD) of factorial pattern with two factors. The first factor was applying of chicken manure fertilizer (K) consisting of 4 (four) levels, namely : : K0 = 0 ton.ha-1, K1 = 5 ton.ha-1, K2 = 10 ton.ha-1 and 15 t ha-1. The second factor was the provision of concentration growth regulators (Z) which consists of 4 (four) levels, namely : Z0 = 0 ml L-1 water, Z1 = 1 ml L-1 water, Z2 = 3 ml L-1 water and Z3 = 5 ml L-1 water. . The results showed the interaction of chicken manure and growth regulators affected the number of leaves, fresh weight of plants and dry weight of plants. The combination of 10 t ha-1 chicken manure and 5 ml L-1 water growth regulator treatment was able to increase the yield of spring onions with a fresh weight of 32.67 g plant-1.
