Abstract

This research analyzes the double phoneme errors of foreign students at Universiyas Negeri Padang in the form of deletions, additions and changes to double vowels and double consonants in foreign students at Universitas Negeri Padang. The aim of this research is to describe the forms of double phoneme errors of foreign students at Universitas Negeri Padang.. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research. The method used in this research is the case study method. The research and data sources in the research are Ei Thet Hmo Po (laura) and Win Ei Phyu Tun (Sharon). Data was collected through observation interviews and documentation. Based on the research results, it was found that there were twenty-one data analysis of duplicate phoneme errors of foreign students at Universitas Negeri Padang.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the skills of writing descriptive text without, with, and how to influence the use of the Snowball Throwing Learning Model on the Writing Ability of Grade VII Students of SMP N 13 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The data processed in this study were tests on the results of writing descriptive text skills for class VII students of SMP N 13 Padang. The data collection technique was carried out in 3 meetings, 1 meeting in the control class and 2 meetings in the experimental class. First, students' skills in writing descriptive text before using the Snowball Throwing model for class VII students of SMP N 13 Padang with an average of 73.61 are more than adequate (LdC) because they are at 66% -75% mastery on a scale of 10. Second, writing skills Students' descriptive text before using the Snowball Throwing model for class VII students of SMP N 13 Padang with an average of 84.03 is classified as good (B) because it is at 76% -85% mastery on a scale of 10. Third, students' writing skills of description before using the model Snowball Throwing in learning is better than before using the Snowball Throwing model. Fourth, there is a significant effect, this can be seen from the average value of descriptive text writing skills using the Snowball Throwing Model which is higher than without using the Snowball Throwing Model with a range of (84.03 > 73.60).

Abstract

This research aims to describe the effect of the Problem Based Learning Method on Learning to Write Negotiation Texts for Class X Students of SMA Negeri 9 Mandau. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The population of this study were 306 students of class X SMA Negeri 9 Mandau who were enrolled in the 2023/2024 academic year. The sample of this research is class X.2 students. The data in this study are the performance scores of the ability to write negotiating texts of class X students of SMA Negeri 9 Mandau before and after using the Problem Based Learning Method. The results of this study are based on data analysis, namely that there is a significant effect of using the Problem Based Learning method on the ability to write negotiating texts for class X students of SMA Negeri 9 Mandau because tcount>ttable on degrees of freedom (dk)=n1-1 and (α)=0.05 significant level of 95%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Lunang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain True Experimental Design dalam bentuk posttest-only control design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIA1 dan XI MIA 2 yang masing-masing berjumlah 29 orang. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah skor hasil kerja siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Lunang dalam menulis teks eksplanasi tanpa dan dengan menggunakan model Team Assisted Individualization (TAI). Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. Pertama, keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Lunang tanpa menggunakan model Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) memperoleh nilai rata-rata 57,66 dengan kualifikasi Cukup (C) pada rentangan 56-67% pada skala 10. Kedua, keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Lunang dengan menggunakan Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) memperoleh nilai rata-rata 61,68 dengan kualifikasi Cukup (C) pada rentangan 56-67% pada skala 10. Ketiga, terdapat efektivitas penggunaan model Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Lunang karena thitung>ttabel yaitu 2,59>1,67. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa model Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) dapat mempengaruhi siswa dalam menulis teks eksplanasi.
