Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze how entrepreneurship education and the use of digital technology affect the economic independence of micro-entrepreneurs in the Makassar City Cidu market through the mediation role of financial literacy. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with the number of respondents as many as 192 micro-enterprises in the market CIDU Makassar. Data analysis in this study was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results showed that entrepreneurship education had a positive and significant effect on financial literacy and economic independence, while the use of digital technology also had a positive and significant effect on financial literacy and economic independence. financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on economic independence, while significantly mediating the influence of entrepreneurship education and the use of digital technology on the economic independence of micro-enterprises. This finding confirms that increasing financial literacy through entrepreneurship education and the use of digital technology can strengthen the economic independence of micro-enterprises in the digital economy era.
