Abstract

This study aims to determine the metacognitive skills of students using the experiential learning model on the subject of the human respiratory system. The research method used is Quasi Experiment with Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The research population used in this research series was students at MTs Nurul Huda in the Sukabumi district, the experimental class numbered 20, and the control class had the same number, namely 20 students. Taking the two sample classes was carried out using a purposive sampling method. The research instrument used a metacognitive skills questionnaire; several tests were used, including the N-Gain, normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing. The results showed a difference in the mean and N-gain values of the scores obtained by the two research classes. It was shown that the experimental class had a higher average score of 86 than the control class of 76. While the N-Gain value of the experimental class was 0.33 can be categorized as moderate, and the control class 0.30 is categorized as low. Besides that, based on hypothesis testing on the independent sample t-test, it shows a 2-tailed sig value. of 0.000 which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that applying the Experiential Learning model affects improving students' metacognitive skills in the subject of the human respiratory system.

Abstract

One effevtive learning method to achieve the desired student learning outcomes is through a learning process that incorporates learning strategies such as methods, models, and instructional media expected to achieve the learning objectives. Classroom action research conducted aimed to determine whether the use of question and answer methods is effective in improving student learning outcomes, especially in mathematics subjects. The results of the first cycle of research show that students are actively engaged in learning inside the classroom, but on average, they lack confidence in answering some of the questions posed. Meanwhile, in the second cycle, with the researcher's approach focusing more on the students, it can be observed that students are more actively engaged in learning and more confident in answering questions posed because during the question and answer sessions, students also participate in ice breaking activities with the hope of keeping them motivated in learning. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the question and answer method is highly effective in the teaching of mathematics. The implementation of this method has a positive impact on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at Socah 1 Elementary School. Keywords: Mathematics; Question and Answer; Elementary School

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh pengelolaan sampah botol plastik dalam bentuk karya seni terhadap sikap dan pemahaman siswa pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metode campuran, dengan penerapan pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang melibatkan 25 siswa IV dari SDN Tunjung 3 Tunjung Burneh Bangkalan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, koordinasi, tes evaluasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil angket menunjukkan skor 1.035 dari total maksimal 1.250 (82,8%) yang menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki sikap positif terhadap kegiatan ini. Nilai rata-rata evaluasi kognitif siswa tercatat sebesar 74,4. Kegiatan pengelolaan sampah botol plastik menjadi hiasan bunga tidak hanya meningkatkan kreativitas, keterampilan, dan kepedulian lingkungan, tetapi juga memperkuat pemahaman konkret tentang konsep daur ulang. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dapat menjadi alat yang efektif dalam mengembangkan karakter peduli lingkungan di kalangan siswa sekolah dasar.
