Abstract

PT Dizamatra Powerindo adalah salah satu perusahaan swasta yang bergerak dibidang usaha pertambangan batubara yang berlokasi tepat di Desa Kebur, Kecamatan Merapi Barat, Kabupaten Lahat, Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Sistem penambangan yang diterapkan di PT Dizamatra Powerindo adalah surface mining yang saat ini berfokus di pit 4 dengan kondisi lapisan batubara (seam) dengan kemiringan (dip) sekitar 22^0. Pada penelitian ini penulis melakukan penelitian pada pit 4 sidewall timur yang aktivitas penambangan di lakukan oleh perusahaan kontraktor PT Cipta Kridatama, pada sidewall timur terdapat 1 unit Excavator Caterpillar 330 GC dan 4 unit Dump Truck Merc-Benz Axor. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan didapatkan produktivitas dari alat gali muat sebesar 430.09 ton/jam kemudian untuk produktivitas alat angkut yaitu sebesar 81.64 ton/jam, dan match factor yang di dapat yaitu 0,758, yang berarti MF < 1dan menyebabkan waktu tunggu bagi alat gali muat karena menunggu alat angkut datang. Dalam  hal ini perlu dilakukan penambahan satu unit untuk alat angkut sehingga bisa mencapai MF 1.

Abstract

Mine acid water (AAT) is one of the liquid wastes produced by coal mining activities. The existence of this liquid waste can hurt the environment, so it needs to be managed. This management aims to minimize the negative impact that will be caused. This study aims to determine the stages of AAT management and analyze the need for lime and chemical organic coagulants for coal mining at PT Lematang Coal Lestari (LCL). The method used in this study is by field observation, interview methods, and documentation as supporting data. The result of this study is that the stages of AAT management carried out by PT LCL are known, starting from AAT pumping, mixing chemical organic coagulant, measuring the pH of the inlet channel, liming the inlet channel, checking the color and pH of the outlet line water, mixing the chemical organic coagulant and liming the outlet channel if necessary, as well as settling. The lime dosage required by PT LCL is 0.32 gr/l, and the chemical organic coagulant requirement is 0.11 ml/l in one AAT water management.

Abstract

Crushing activities are an important stage in coal processing to meet production targets. This study aims to analyze the productivity performance of the crusher at PT Jaksa Laksa Utama Site PT Budi Gema Gempita during March 2025. The method used includes field observation, recording of daily production data, as well as analysis of effective working time and delay time. The results of the study show a work efficiency of 84.29% with an average effective working time of 15.17 hours/day and an average productivity of 720.9 tons/hour. Factors affecting productivity include delays due to mechanical disturbances, standby due to delays in material supply, and environmental conditions such as high rainfall. Improvement recommendations include optimizing working time, routine maintenance, and increasing coordination between operational units. The implementation of these efforts is expected to support the achievement of coal production targets optimally.

Abstract

Coal is one of the main energy sources in Indonesia, often temporarily stored in stockpiles before distribution. However, this storage is susceptible to self-combustion, a spontaneous combustion process caused by coal oxidation reactions that result in increased temperatures. Self-combustion in stockpiles can reduce coal quality and cause company losses. One location that experienced this is Left Stock RL 56, a coal stockpile of AL 71 at the Air Laya Mine of PT Bukit Asam, Tbk. This study aims to analyze the factors causing self-combustion and efforts to address and prevent it. The methods used include field observation, collection of primary and secondary data such as coal temperature data, stockpile dimensions, stockpiling patterns, rainfall data, and coal quality, which are then analyzed. The results show that self-combustion at the study location was triggered by several main factors, namely the long stockpiling period (approximately ± 5 months), the lack of an optimal FIFO system, stockpiling heights reaching 11 meters, and significant increases in coal temperature at several measurement points. The stockpiling pattern used has also not consistently adopted a system that can minimize the risk of self-combustion. Recommended preventative measures include proper stockpile management, regular temperature monitoring, the FIFO system, and immediate handling using heavy equipment when temperatures are detected high. By improving stockpile management systems, the potential for future fires can be minimized.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the potential hazards and occupational risks associated with coal mining, with particular emphasis on the loading, hauling, and dumping processes at the PT Bukit Asam Tbk site in South Sumatra. Due to the complex working environment, the use of heavy equipment, and unstable geological conditions, the mining industry is a high-risk occupational industry for occupational accidents and health problems. This study used field observations, primary and secondary data collection, and analysis of employee questionnaires. The results showed that the hauling area has the highest hazard potential, while the loading and dumping area has the lowest. Collisions between parts, overturning of heavy equipment, and exposure to dust are some of the most common occupational accidents. The main causes of risk were identified as unstable road conditions, failure to use personal protective equipment (PPE), and failure to comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs). Therefore, the implementation of an OHS management system, regular training, and routine safety inspections are essential for risk control. It is hoped that this study will contribute to improving occupational safety in mining.

Abstract

Spontaneous combustion of coal is a serious problem in the ROM stockpile area, which can cause significant losses in terms of both quality and quantity. This study aims to evaluate the coal stockpiling pattern in the ROM stockpile area of ​​PT Duta Bara Utama in an effort to prevent spontaneous combustion. The methods used in this study include field observations, interviews, and measurements of pile dimensions and pile tilt angles. Based on the analysis, the stockpiling pattern applied is a windrow pattern with a layering method, but there are several factors that have the potential to cause spontaneous combustion, such as low rank coal, pile angles ranging from 40°-50°, non-uniform coal grain sizes, and pile sides that do not consider the cardinal direction. Preventive measures that have been implemented include the FIFO (First in First Out) system, the implementation of a maximum stack standard of 6 meters, compaction of each layer of the pile, and regulation of the stack duration. The results of this study are expected to be a reference in managing coal piles safely and efficiently to prevent spontaneous combustion of coal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menilai tingkat keberhasilan pertumbuhan tanaman pada area reklamasi tambang batu kapur dengan fokus pada periode penanaman tanaman tahun 2025 di Disposal 4 Sisi Tenggara PT Semen Baturaja Tbk. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis tanaman yang digunakan dalam kegiatan reklamasi, mengevaluasi tingkat keberhasilan hidup tanaman, serta menganalisis faktor-faktor penting yang memengaruhi pertumbuhan tersebut. Kegiatan penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 14 April hingga 9 Mei 2025 di area reklamasi seluas 1,16 hektare yang dibagi menjadi dua plot pengamatan agar hasilnya lebih terukur dan akurat. Metode penelitian meliputi pengumpulan data primer berupa identifikasi jenis tanaman, jumlah individu, tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, serta kondisi kesehatan tanaman, dan juga pengumpulan data sekunder sebagai data pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata persentase tumbuh tanaman pada area reklamasi mencapai angka 93%, yang menurut kriteria penilaian dalam Permenhut No. P.60-II/2009 termasuk kategori baik. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa program reklamasi telah berjalan sesuai standar. Penelitian diharapkan mampu memberikan masukan bermanfaat bagi perusahaan dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas revegetasi,serta menjadi bahan pertimbangan dalam perbaikan teknik reklamasi ke depan sekaligus memperkuat hubungan akademik dengan dunia industri.

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) impacts the performance of dump truck operators at the mining front at PT Bukit Asam Tbk, Tanjung Enim. Given the high occupational risk associated with the mining sector, attention to the OHS system is crucial for maintaining safety and improving work efficiency. The research method employed direct observation and interviews with dump truck operators and OHS supervisors at the mining site. The analysis showed that OHS elements such as the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), occupational safety training, and adherence to operational procedures significantly impact employee performance. It was also found that violations of OHS standards still occur due to individual negligence and a lack of regular training frequency. Optimal OHS implementation results in a safer work environment, reduced stress levels, and improved operator performance. Recommendations from this study emphasize the importance of ongoing OHS training and more consistent oversight of occupational safety practices.
