Abstract

Abstract., As the trend of the memorizing The Holly Qur’an develops in Indonesian Muslim communities, now taḥfīẓ al-qur’ān has entered and become a flagship program in formal schools, especially private Islamic schools. The majority of them are the schools with fairly expensive fees. They use taḥfīẓ al-qur’ān program to attract market interest. So there is an indication that the schools are commercializing education if they use taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān program only to get many students. In other hand quality education requires high costs. So that not always high cost schools can be categorized as commercialization only if the financing is used to facilitate the fluency of teaching-learning process, developing infrastructure and procurement of media that support the implementation of quality education. In the context of schools with taḥfīẓ al-qur’ān program, there are several benchmarks to determine wheter commercialization has occured or not. First, measured from quality of reciting Qur’an of students, the fluency, tajwīd and makhrāj al-ḥurūf. Second, measured from quality of  memorizing Qur’an of students. Third, measured from memorized quantity that has been targeted. In order taḥfīẓ al-qur’ān to become quality program and not to commercialize, the steps that must be taken are to introduce Al-Qur’an, teach love to the Qur’an, teach adab in memorizing  Qur’an and teach the values contained in the Qur’an. While what should be avoided is prioritizing memorization quantity by ignoring the quality of reciting Qur’an, tajwīd and makhrāj al-ḥurūf and prioritizing adding memorization by ignoring repetition. Both will cause taḥfīẓ al-qur’ān program to be contra-produtive and lack from Islamic education values and only burden the students.Keywords: taḥfīẓ program, taḥfīẓ al-qur’ān and Education commercializationAbstrak., Seiring berkembangnya tren menghafal Al-Qur’an di masyarakat Muslim Indonesia, kini program taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān telah masuk dan menjadi program unggulan di sekolah-sekolah formal khususnya sekolah-sekolah Islam swasta. Sekolah-sekolah tersebut mayoritas adalah sekolah dengan biaya pendidikan yang cukup mahal. Mereka menggunakan program taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān untuk menarik minat pasar. Sehingga ada indikasi sekolah-sekolah tersebut melakukan komersialisai pendidikan jika manfaatkan program taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān hanya untuk mendapatkan banyak murid. Di sisi lain pendidikan berkualitas membutuhkan biaya yang tinggi. Sehingga tidak selalu sekolah dengan biaya yang tinggi bisa  dikategorikan sebagai komersialisasi hanya jika pembiayaan tersebut digunakan untuk menfasilitasi kelancaran proses belajar-mengajar, pembangunan infrastuktur dan pengadaan media yang menunjang terselenggaranya pendidikan yang berkualitas. Dalam konteks sekolah dengan program taḥfīẓ Al-Qur’ān maka beberapa tolok ukur untuk mengetahui terjadi tidaknya komersialisasi. Pertama, dinilai dari kualitas bacaan Al-Qur’an para peserta didik, kelancaran, tajwid dan makhrojul hurufnya. Kedua, dinilai dari kualitas hafalan Al-Qur’an peserta didik. Ketiga, dinilai dari kuantitas hafalan yang ditargetkan. Agar program taḥfīẓ Al-Qur’ān berkualitas dan tidak terjadi komersialisai, langkah-langkah yang harus dilakukan adalah: mengenalkan Al-Qur’an, mengajarkan cinta Al-Qur’an, mengajarkan adab menghafal Al-Qur’an dan mengajarkan nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam Al-Qur’an. Sedangkan yang harus dihindari adalah lebih mengutamakan kuantitas hafalan dengan mengabaikan kualitas bacaan, tajwid dan makhorijul huruf dan mengutamakan menambah dengan mengabaikan mengulang hafalan. Karena hal-hal tersebut justru menyebabkan taḥfīẓ Al-Qur’ān menjadi kontra produktif, kering dari nilai-nilai pendidikan Islami serta hanya akan membebani anak didik.Kata kunci: program taḥfīẓ, taḥfīẓ al-qur’ān dan komersialisai pendidikan

Abstract

Abstract Abū ‘Ubaid al- Qasim ibn Sallam  was one of the early era scholars of ‘ulūm al-Qur’ān who lived in the 3rd Century of the Hijra. He live in the era Bani Abbasids reign who had the ideology of Mu’tazilah. Although Abbasid goverment carried out the mihnah, but Abū ‘Ubaid, who was an ahl al-sunnah wa al-jama’ah cleric could survive the incient. This article discusses the dialectic of Abū ‘Ubaid’s  thought of  ulum al-Qur’an with the social and political situation  that occured at that time.  In his book Faḍāil al-Qur’ān, Abū ‘Ubaid acknowledged that the Qur’an is kalām Allah  and  narrated  the hadith and aṡar which told about syafā’at al-Qur’anfor its reader. Of course this is cotrary to Mu’tazilah  ideology, as the official mazhab of the state. Nevertheless Abū ‘Ubaid did not blame the goverment’s ideology that stated  the Qur’an was a creature (khalq al-Qur’ān).Keyword: Abū ‘Ubaid ‘ulūm al-Qur’ān, AbbasidAbstrakAbū ‘Ubaid al-Qasim ibn Sallam adalah salah satu ulama ‘ulūm al-Qur’ān generasi awal yang hidup pada abad ke 3 H. Ia hidup pada masa pemerintahan Bani Abbasiyah yang berideologi Mu’tazilah. Meskipun pemerintah Abbasiyah saat itu melakukan mihnah, namun Abū ‘Ubaid yang merupakan ulama ahl al-sunnah wa al-jama’ah yang selamat dari peristiwa tersebut. Artikel ini membahas pemikiran ‘ulum al-Qur’an Abū ‘Ubaid pada situasi sosial dan politik yang terjadi saat itu. Dalam kitabnya Faḍāil al-Qur’ān Abū ‘Ubaid mengakui bahwa al-Qur’an adalah kalām Allah dan meriwayatkan hadits serta aṡar yang menceritakan tentang syafā’at al-Qur’an bagi pembacanya. Tentu saja hal ini berseberangan dengan madzhab Mu’tazilah, sebagai madzhab resmi negara. Walaupun demikian Abū ‘Ubaid tidak menyalahkan ideologi pemerintah yang menyatakan bahwa Al-Qur’an adalah makhluk (khalq al-Qur’ān).

Abstract

This article studies al-Ḥakīm al-Tirmidhī’s viewpoints toward understanding hadith on his work “Nawādir al-Uṣūl fi Ma’rifat Aḥādīth al-Rasūl.” Using the content analysis approach, this study reveals that the primary purpose of transmitting hadith is that the hadith’s message is supposed to be practiced so that happiness in the hereafter can be achieved, not just transmitting hadith from one person to another without any practical implication. So, it not only orients on the chain of transmission but also profoundly understands the matan or its contents. He quotes some hadith in his works to expose the meaning and the essence contained in every hadith and hopes that it can be a guideline of sulūk for those who intend to get closer (taqarrub) to God. Hence, the Sufism viewpoint becomes his basic epistemology in understanding the hadith.Contribution: This article provides a new perspective of the hadith transmitter requirement according to al-Tirmidhī, namely, having a critical view towards everything that is heard and accepted. It also shows that understanding hadith is not just to reveal its meaning but a sulūk for those who want to get closer to Allah.

Abstract

Abstract: Environmental damage in Indonesia is very critical so that it needs to be handled through various approaches, one of which is through reunderstanding religious texts. This article examined Bisri Musthofa's interpretation of the ecological verses in Tafsīr al-Ibrīz by exploring the concept of green-deen contained in it. This research was qualitative research by using content analysis methods with green-deen concept of Ibrahim Abdul Matin as an approach. This research found that the concept of green-deen in the book of Tafsīr al-Ibrīz includes four things: First, Allah Ta’ala dewe kang mengerani lan nguwasani alam kabeh iki, God as the owner of the whole nature and only God has dominion over it; Second, sejatine kedadiane langit bumi saisine, gulir gumantine bengi lan rino iku kabeh dadi tondo tumerap wong-wong kang podo anduweni akal nuduhake kekuasaane Allah Ta’ala, the whole creation of natures and everythings that happen in it are signs of Allah that shows God's power over the intelligent. Third, Allah Ta’ala manggonake marang siro kabeh ana ing bumine Allah Ta’ala, Allah appointed man as a khalīfah and placed them on earth to serve, take care and guard His earth. Fourth, Embo’iyo umat-umat sakduruunge sira kabeh iku ono kang anduweni agomo, kang gelem nyegah sangking nggawe kerusakan ana ing bumi, people of any religion are obliged to prevent destructions happen on Allah's earth.Keywords: Ecology; Green-Deen; Ulama Nusantara; InterpretationAbstrak: Kerusakan lingkungan hidup di Indonesia sudah sangat kritis sehingga dibutuhkan penanganan melalui berbagai pendekatan, salah satunya melalui pemahaman ulang teks keagamaan. Artikel ini mengkaji penafsiran Bisri Musthofa terhadap ayat-ayat ekologi dalam kitab Tafsīr al-Ibrīz dengan menggali konsep green-deen yang ada di dalamnya. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode analisis data (content analysis) dengan menggunakan konsep green-deen Ibrahim Abdul Matin sebagai pendekatan. Penelitian menemukan bahwa konsep green-deen dalam kitab tafsir al-Ibrīz meliputi empat hal; Pertama, Allah Ta’ala dewe kang mengerani lan nguwasani alam kabeh iki, Allah sebagai pemilik alam seisinya dan hanya Allah yang berkuasa atasnya; Kedua, sejatine kedadiane langit bumi saisine, gulir gumantine bengi lan rino iku kabeh dadi tondo tumerap wong-wong kang podo anduweni akal nuduhake kekuasaane Allah Ta’ala, penciptaan alam seisinya serta segala yang terjadi di dalamnya adalah ayat Allah yang menunjukkan kekuasaan Allah bagi orang berakal. Ketiga, Allah Ta’ala manggonake marang siro kabeh ana ing bumine Allah Ta’ala, Allah menunjuk manusia sebagai khalīfah yang ditempatkan di bumi untuk melayani, mengurus dan menjaga bumi Allah SWT. Keempat, Embo’iyo umat-umat sakduruunge sira kabeh iku ono kang anduweni agomo, kang gelem nyegah sangking nggawe kerusakan ana ing bumi, manusia yang beragama haruslah mencegah terjadinya kerusakan di bumi Allah.Kata Kunci: Ekologi; Green-Deen; Nusantara’s Ulama; Tafsir
