Abstract

E-commerce has experienced rapid growth with the adoption of digital technology particularly in Southeast Asia. AI enables Shopee to provide personalized product recommendations, responsive customer service, and secure shopping experiences. This study analyzes the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in enhancing user experience on the Shopee e-commerce platform. The research employs a mixed-method approach involving 400 Shopee users in Indonesia. Product recommendation and user experience personalization both significantly increase user satisfaction. User experience personalization has a greater influence than product recommendations in increasing user satisfaction. The implications of this study suggest that AI not only enhances Shopee's operational efficiency but also strengthens customer satisfaction and loyalty, making it a key element in maintaining competitiveness in today's competitive e-commerce industry

Abstract

The rapid growth of urbanization in Palembang, South Sumatra Province, poses challenges in the management of energy resources and the environment. This study aims to evaluate the application of Internet of Things (IoT) in the E-Cleanness City Information and Management System program as a solution in improving energy efficiency and smart city operations. Mixed research methods were used, combining quantitative and qualitative analysis to obtain a comprehensive picture of the impact of IoT implementation. The results showed a 10% decrease in energy consumption and a 15% increase in operational efficiency after IoT implementation. The main factors contributing to the efficiency improvement include optimization of waste collection routes, reduction in the number of operational vehicles, and improved response times. In addition, user and system manager satisfaction surveys indicated high levels of satisfaction, indicating positive acceptance of the technology. The social and economic benefits include reduced operational costs, improved quality of life, creation of new jobs, and increased environmental awareness. However, challenges such as limited technological infrastructure, the need for further training, complex system integration, and data security and privacy issues need to be addressed to optimize IoT implementation. This research recommends infrastructure development, intensive training programs, and implementation of strong data security protocols as strategic steps to support the sustainability of smart city management in Palembang. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for the development of similar policies in other cities in Indonesia in an effort to achieve energy efficiency and environmental sustainability through IoT technology.

Abstract

Cloud Computing offers various advantages, but also presents major challenges related to data security. End-to-end encryption (E2EE) is considered as a solution to mitigate threats to the security of data stored and processed in the cloud. This research aims to examine the effect of implementing E2EE encryption in improving data security in Cloud Computing. Using a qualitative approach with literature study and secondary data analysis, this research focuses on three main threat categories: data leakage, unauthorized access, and cyberattacks. The results show that E2EE encryption can reduce the incidence of data leakage by 80%, unauthorized access by 83.3%, and cyberattacks by 78.6%. Despite its effectiveness, E2EE encryption implementation faces challenges in encryption key management and potential degradation in system performance. Therefore, good key management and multifactor authentication are essential to ensure data security. This study concludes that although end-to-end encryption improves security, a thorough policy, including key management and access control, is needed to maximize data protection in Cloud Computing.

Abstract

This research investigates the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI)-based chatbots in a hybrid model in Computer Science and Computer Engineering departments. The research method used was an online survey of students, providing direct insight from key users of this technology. The findings show significant adoption of AI chatbots in this academic environment, indicating good acceptance from users. The research results provide an in-depth understanding of the extent to which chatbots have been implemented in facilitating the reception of information in the department. AI chatbots have been proven to make a positive contribution in optimizing the process of receiving information, providing fast and accurate answers to students' common questions. The conclusions of this study underscore the potential of chatbots to improve the overall quality of academic services.

Abstract

This study presents a comparative performance evaluation of Fiber Ethernet and copper Ethernet (Cat6) using a controlled testbed to quantify differences in throughput and Quality of Service (QoS). Identical endpoints are connected through a managed switch, and the physical medium is alternated between a fiber link and a Cat6 link. Traffic is generated under TCP and UDP at three utilization levels (10%, 50%, and 90%) and three distance conditions (10 m, 50 m, and 90–100 m for Cat6). The evaluation uses application-level and interface-level measurements, including TCP/UDP throughput, round-trip latency, jitter, packet loss, and reliability counters such as CRC/FCS errors and TCP retransmissions. Results show that both media can achieve near line-rate throughput at short distance and low load, but fiber exhibits consistently lower latency and jitter and near-zero loss across conditions. As utilization increases, Cat6 displays larger variability in delay and a higher tendency toward UDP loss, indicating reduced timing stability under stress. At longer copper runs (90–100 m), the gap widens: Cat6 shows higher jitter and loss and increased error-related counters, while fiber remains stable. These findings suggest that the main advantage of fiber is not only peak capacity but also QoS predictability and link integrity, which are critical for real-time and high-utilization services. The study provides practical guidance for selecting media in campus and building networks where distance, load, and service requirements must be balanced. Future work will include electromagnetic-noise trials, different switch/NIC models, and statistical tests to validate effect sizes across repetitions in diverse building environments
