Abstract

ABSTRACT Determining and Analyzing the Quality of Ranolangsot Dam Water as a Source of Irrigation Water for Rice Fields based on Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021, as well as to Determine the suitability of dam water quality based on the Sodium Adsorption Ratio (SAR) value. The study was conducted in July 2025 using descriptive methods and laboratory analysis with purposive sampling techniques at three sampling points. The parameters tested included temperature, pH, Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Nitrate, Phosphate, Sodium, Calcium, and Magnesium. The SAR value was calculated using the Ayers & Westcott (1985) formula to determine water quality classification. The analysis results showed that the physical and chemical parameters of temperature 30°C, pH 6.5, TSS 6–10 mg/l, nitrate 0.8–2 mg/l, phosphate 0.02–0.3 mg/l still met the class III–IV quality standards. However, the SAR values at three consecutive points were 34.31, 13.25, and 30.83 mEq/l, indicating water quality ranging from (poor) to (good). The high sodium dominance at several points indicates the potential for soil structure degradation and reduced land fertility if used for irrigation. In conclusion, although most of the Ranolangsot Dam water parameters meet quality standards, the high SAR values at two points indicate that the water is not yet fully suitable for rice field irrigation without further management. Abstract

This study aims to analyze N, P, K, and pH contained in liquid organic fertilizer from goroho banana peel waste (Musa acuminafe L.) in Pulisan Village North Minahasa Regency. This study was conducted from September to November 2025 in Pulisan Village and the Manado Center for Standardization and Industrial Services. The method used was a descriptive method with fermentation for 13 days using two different concentrations of EM4 (Effective Microorganisms), namely 130 ml and 195 ml, each mixed with 500 g of goroho banana peel and 25 ml of stale rice MOL. The parameters observed included N, P, K, and pH content. The analysis results showed the N, P, K, and pH content in the liquid organic fertilizer from goroho banana peel waste (Musa acuminafe L.) in Pulisan Village North Minahasa Regency, at an EM4 concentration of 130 ml, obtained an N content of 0.08%; P <0.01%; K 0.39%; and pH 4.00. Meanwhile, at an EM4 concentration of 195 ml, the content was N 0.13%; P 0.01%; K 0.31%; and pH 3.94. Keywords: banana, goroho, liquid organic fertilizer, peel, waste

Abstract

This study aimed to inventory land cover in the upper Kora-Kora watershed in Tulap Village, Kombi District, using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) drone technology. Field data acquisition was conducted using a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone flown at an altitude of 250 meters, yielding aerial imagery with a very high spatial resolution of 6 cm/pixel. The imagery data was processed using Agisoft Metashape photogrammetry software and analyzed through visual interpretation and manual digitization using ArcGIS 10.8 software. The inventory identified seven land cover classes: plantations covering 27.59 hectares (88.71%), shrubland (1.21 ha), open land (1.10 ha), buildings/settlements (1.04 ha), roads (1,727 m), footpaths (1,178 m), and a river (930 m). The dominance of plantation cover aligns with the primary characteristics of an agrarian village community. The use of drones proved highly efficient, rapid, and accurate in providing up-to-date geospatial data. The resulting map serves as a valuable resource for the village government in spatial planning, natural resource management, and the prioritization of conservation areas. Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the nutrient content and pH level of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) derived from ketapang (Terminalia catappa L.) leaf waste in Pulisan Village, East Likupang District. This descriptive study compared the use of dried ketapang leaves (DKK) and fresh ketapang leaves (DKB), fermented for 14 days using a combination of the EM4 bioactivator and a local microorganism (MOL) derived from spoiled rice. Laboratory analysis at BSPJI Manado revealed that both treatments yielded an identical nitrogen (N) content of 0.10%. However, the DKK-based POC exhibited higher potassium (K) content (0.36%) and a more acidic pH (3.51) compared to the DKB-based POC (K: 0.18%; pH: 4.38). Conversely, the phosphorus (P) content in the DKB-based POC (0.03%) was higher than that in the DKK-based POC (<0.01%). Physically, the fermentation process altered the solution's color from brick red to black for DKK and to dark brown for DKB. Although the NPK nutrient levels remain below quality standards, this POC still holds potential for sustainably enhancing soil fertility. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the physical and chemical properties of compost produced from a mixture of dry leaves and vegetable waste through fermentation of Local Microorganisms (MOL) from goroho banana stems. The study was conducted in October–December 2025 with two main treatments, namely the addition of 30 ml, 60 ml, and 90 ml of MOL to a mixture of 1 kg of dry leaves and 2 kg of vegetable waste, the compost analyzed was a compost that had a faster composting time with a crumbly texture and a blackish brown color. The parameters observed included composting time, texture, color, and the content of macronutrients nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). The research data will be analyzed using descriptive statistics, the test results are presented in tabular form. The results showed that the 90 ml MOL treatment produced the fastest composting time, which was 25 days, while the 60 ml treatment required 30 days. Both treatments produced compost with a crumbly texture and a blackish brown color, indicating that the compost was mature. The nutrient content of the compost in the 60 ml MOL treatment was N 0.49%, P 0.06%, and K 0.54%, while in the 90 ml MOL treatment it was N 0.42%, P 0.03%, and K 0.55%.
