Abstract

The manuscript entitled Buku Isi Warna Warni is a manuscript that contains many traditional medicine ingredients such as medicine for fever in children. The purpose of this study is to present edits and translations of fever treatment texts in children contained in the BIWW manuscript and explain the function of traditional medicine contained in the manuscript. The methods used in this study are data collection, data processing, data analysis and presentation of data analysis results. At the data collection stage, field studies and literature studies are carried out. The data processing stage, philological work steps are carried out from manuscript description, transliteration, editing and translation. In studying the content of the content, a pragmatic approach is used. The source of the data used is the BIWW manuscript which is still written in Javanese script and is stored at the Demak Regency Library and Archives Office. The result of this study is the editing of text that has been cleared of errors and the translation of the text into Indonesian. In addition, there is a function of traditional medicine, especially the treatment of fever in children. This function is the function of education on the types of fever that are often suffered. As for the function of knowledge about herbal medicines derived from plants and other complementary ingredients. In addition, it is also described how to mix herbs and effective methods used to give fever medicine ingredients to children. The functions contained in the BIWW text are still relevant because they can be applied as treatment in today's society. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini terfokus pada analisis pendidikan multikultural dalam cerpen “Seribu Kunang-kunang di Manhattan” karya Umar Kayam. Penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan multikulturalisme dan sosiologi sastra ini menghasilkan penemuan adanya nilai-nilai pendidikan multikultural dalam cerpen yang digambarkan melalui dua tokoh utama, yakni Marno dan Jane. Pendidikan multikulturalisme dalam cerpen digambarkan melalui perbedaan negara asal tokoh utama, pertemuan antara budaya Amerika dan Jawa, perbedaan karakter orang Jawa dan Amerika. Perbedaan-perbedaan tersebut tidak menghalangi para tokoh dalam cerpen untuk tetap hidup berdampingan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa cerpen “Seribu Kunang-kunang di Manhattan” memuat pendidikan multikultural di dalamnya. Penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan pentingnya pendidikan multikultural dalam cerpen, yakni sebagai pesan agar para pembaca saling menghargai perbedaan pendapat, pandangan, dan budaya satu sama lain dalam hidup bermasyarakat, serta pesan agar pembaca tidak lupa dengan tanah air meskipun sedang berada dalam perantauan.

Abstract

Raos Jawi: Bab Semedi Ngeningaken Cipta manuscript is a text that tells about Javanese people who still perform semedi when facing problems and making decisions. The purpose of this research is to present the editing and translation of the text and explain the esoteric values contained in the text. The theories used in this research are philological theory and pragmatic theory. The methods used in this research are data collection, data analysis, and presentation of results of the analysis. The results of this research are text edits that have been cleared of errors, translation of the text into Indonesian, and an explanation of the esoteric values contained in the RJ text. These esoteric values consist of cleansing oneself, calming oneself, restraining lust, getting rid of all temptations, strengthening the heart, and getting closer to God. The esoteric values contained in the RJ text will be useful for today's society. Keywords: esoteric values; RJ manuscript; philology; pragmatic
