Abstract

Tuntutan menjadi seorang guru saat ini tidak hanya kompeten di bidang ilmu saja. Guru harus mampu menyusun bahan ajar yang menarik, mudah dipahami dengan media berbasis teknologi atau Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK). Selama ini Guru Bahasa Jawa termasuk Guru Bahasa Jawa SMP di Kabupaten Demak mengalami kesulitan jika dihadapkan pada pengadaan media pembelajaran berbasis TPACK yang mengakomodir kekhasan daerah. Mengingat mata Pelajaran Bahasa Jawa merupakan muatan lokal yang mengusung ciri budaya lokal setempat sehingga buku panduan secara nasional bukanlah bahan ajar yang tepat. Materi seperti cerita rakyat daerah, kearifan lokal masing-masing daerah belum tersedia dan dapat dimanfaatkan, sehingga guru memang perlu untuk membuat atau mengembangkannya secara individu maupun kelompok. Tim pengabdi menawarkan sebuah pendampingan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis TPACK yang akan memanfaatkan platform Animaker. Tujuan program pengabdian; 1) meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengembangkan bahkan bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal; 2) melestarikan serta mengenalkan cerita-cerita rakyat atau kearifan lokal kepada siswa dalam bentuk bahan ajar; 3) menambah keterampilan guru dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran video animasi dengan Animaker; 4) menambah media pembelajaran berbasis TPACK dalam mata Pelajaran Bahasa Jawa. Metode pengabdian dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahapan; tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap evaluasi. Hasil program pengabdian; 1) Adanya peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam penyusunan bahan ajar cerita rakyat; 2) guru berhasil membuat produk media pembelajaran video animasi berbasis kearifan lokal siap pakai dan telah di-HKI-kan; 3) Guru menguasai dasar penyususnan video animasi dengan Animaker; dan 4) menambah media pembelajaran animasi video cerita lokal daerah di Kabupaten Demak.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to explain the values of character education contained in the musical drama performance Randai Rantau Malin performed by the Palito Nyalo art group in Pauh District, Padang City. The current character crisis has made an alarming impact on the life of the nation and state. The rise of technological developments today has a negative influence on the younger generation. The government began to emphasize strengthening character education in every educational institution, both formal education and non-formal education, one of which was by providing traditional art training. Method: This research uses qualitative methods with data collection methods taken through observation, interviews, literature studies, and documentation. Data analysis uses qualitative descriptive methods obtained from primary and secondary data. Result and Discussion: The results of this study show that children who participate in learning and engaging in the musical drama performance Randai Rantau Malin better understand the values of character and instill these values in their daily lives. They realize character values such as religious values, honesty values, tolerance values, discipline, creativity, and gotong-royong values. In the event of Rantau Malin, many values and messages can be learned, because the initial function of this art itself is not only as entertainment but there are many elements of values and messages for daily life that can be realized in the family and community. By itself, the values contained in this art can shape the character of today's young generation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the symbolic meanings of Tambak Karang within the Erau tradition of Kutai Kartanegara, identify the cultural values embedded in its form and use, and explore its role as a medium for cultural education among younger generations. The research employed a qualitative case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with cultural practitioners and community elders, direct observation of the Erau ritual process, and documentation of visual and written sources related to Tambak Karang. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis supported by symbolic interpretation theory to reveal cultural messages reflected in the motifs, production process, and ritual function of Tambak Karang. The findings indicate that Tambak Karang embodies key cultural values, including responsibility, respect for ancestors, spirituality, creativity, cooperation, social awareness, harmony, and appreciation of local heritage. These values are expressed through visual symbols, ritual practices, and intergenerational knowledge transmission. In addition, Tambak Karang has been utilized as supporting learning material in art, culture, and history education in several schools. The study highlights the importance of Tambak Karang as a cultural educational medium that supports character formation, strengthens cultural identity, and contributes to the preservation of local traditions amid the pressures of globalization.
