Abstract

The rapid growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) has increased system connectivity across industries while simultaneously intensifying cybersecurity risks related to data integrity, access control, and system resilience. This study aims to analyze the role of blockchain technology in securing IoT ecosystems through a cross-industry perspective. A quantitative comparative approach was employed using a structured survey distributed to organizations in the manufacturing, healthcare, energy, logistics, and smart infrastructure sectors. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques to examine the effect of blockchain-based security mechanisms on IoT security performance. The findings indicate that blockchain adoption has a positive and significant impact on improving data integrity, strengthening access control, and enhancing system resilience across all observed industries. Variations in the strength of these effects reflect differences in regulatory pressure and operational risk among sectors. The results confirm that blockchain functions not only as a technical security solution but also as a strategic infrastructure for decentralized trust and risk governance in IoT environments. This study provides both theoretical contributions to IoT security frameworks and practical guidance for cross-sector blockchain implementation.

Abstract

Penggunaan internet pada lingkungan instansi pemerintah memerlukan pengendalian akses dan alokasi bandwidth agar aktivitas kerja tetap stabil, aman, dan sesuai kebutuhan operasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengimplementasikan dan mengevaluasi Web Content Filtering serta manajemen bandwidth berbasis Address List pada jaringan Kementerian Perhubungan Jakarta. Metode pengembangan jaringan yang digunakan adalah Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC), sedangkan konfigurasi teknis dilakukan melalui perangkat Internet Access Gateway dengan menentukan objek alamat IP pengguna, aturan pembatasan akses website, dan batas maksimum bandwidth sebesar 70 Mbps. Pengujian dilakukan dengan membandingkan kondisi sebelum dan sesudah implementasi. Hasil pengujian Web Content Filtering menunjukkan bahwa sebelum konfigurasi diterapkan, website Facebook masih dapat diakses, sedangkan setelah konfigurasi diterapkan akses berhasil diblokir. Hasil pengujian manajemen bandwidth menunjukkan bahwa sebelum pembatasan diterapkan nilai download sebesar 114,81 Mbps dan upload sebesar 105,62 Mbps. Setelah pembatasan diterapkan, nilai download menjadi 66,28 Mbps dan upload menjadi 67,43 Mbps, sehingga berada di bawah batas maksimum 70 Mbps. Dengan demikian, penerapan Web Content Filtering dan manajemen bandwidth berbasis Address List dapat membantu mengendalikan akses internet, membatasi penggunaan bandwidth, serta mendukung stabilitas dan keamanan jaringan di lingkungan Kementerian Perhubungan Jakarta.
