Abstract

Nursing services in hospitals are an integral part of health services. A nurse has contact with patients within 24 hours, and the demands of the job are potentially stressful. Poor job performance among nurses can be caused by job stress. This study aims to determine the relationship between job stress and nurse performance. This study is a descriptive correlational study with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used a total sampling technique of 79 nurses.  The research instrument was a Nursing Stress Scale (NSS) questionnaire of 33 questions and nurse performance assessed by the head of the room as many as three aspects assessed (behavior, professional ability, nursing process). Bivariate analysis using spearman rank statistical test. Nurses' job stress was mostly in the normal category (83.5%). The majority of respondents' performance was in the good category (88%). There is a negative relationship between work stress and nurse performance, the higher the nurse's work stress, the lower the nurse's performance (p value=0.027, r=0.-249). The findings are based on a relatively small and homogenous sample, which may limit the generalizability to other populations. The need for management at Wijaya Kusuma Hospital to pay attention to all dimensions of work stress, and elements that contribute to improving nurse performance and conduct stress management training such as mindfulness or coping mechanism training and conduct outbound activities for nurses.

Abstract

Exercise can indeed improve the quality of health if it is done in accordance with the rules or program. However, excessive exercise without considering the capacity of the organs, especially the heart, can result in disease, one of which is heart disease, namely heart rhythm disturbances. The death rate for athletes in 2022 will still be at 29% during competition. In this case, it proves that Holter monitoring (ambulatory ECG monitoring) is better in assessing heart rhythm in athletes. Arrhythmias in athletes are caused by inadequate cardiac remodeling, causing ion channels in the atrioventricular node to undergo immunohistochemical labeling, where L-type calcium (Ca2+) channels that carry inward current are known to play a major role in the diastolic depolarization of the atrioventricular node, and regulate the excitability and increase in axis potentiation. . In the important Ca2+ channels in the heart, a slowing process occurs which results in a barrier to atrioventricular node conduction. A decrease in the axis action potential phase process where calcium cannot replace potassium in cells results in electrical impulse disturbances.

Abstract

Thyroid disorders can directly affect the cardiovascular system, especially atrial fibrillation arrhythmia. Atrial fibrillation can be triggered by hormonal changes in the human body system. This can be dangerous and can increase the risk of stroke in sufferers. For this reason, researchers conducted this study to be able to analyze the risk of atrial fibrillation due to thyroid disorders. This study used a retrospective analytical design, with a chi square test to determine the risk of increased atrial fibrillation due to thyroid disorders. This study was conducted at Budhi Asih Hospital with Holter monitoring patient samples. The results of this study showed that in patients with thyroid disorders, the results of Holter monitoring showed paroxysmal atrial fibrillation as much as 9.9%, with a p-value: 0.000; OR: 39.346. The conclusion is that there are significant results between thyroid disorders and the incidence of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation
